That Yoda-baby just might be the cutest thing I have ever seen. Normally not drawn to cute characters at all but that one just makes me melt.

Even though the story didn't necessarily go anywhere this episode was very immersive into the world itself.

Everybody keeps gushing over how cute the baby is, but no one stops to think thats 50 years of diapers ya gotta change.

The enemy being disintegrated by the Mandalorian's rifle was a reference to Empire Strikes Back and Vader's line to Boba Fett "And no disintegrations."

That baby Yoda is actually puppet with CGI mix his eyes are probably CGI but all physical movement are the puppet

The helmet and shoulder piece are the only parts of his armor that are beskar; otherwise, the armor would not only survive but also be undamaged. The mudhorn hit the helmet with his horn and it was undamaged and unscathed.

This is already feeling like a major homage to some of Lucas's original inspiration for Star Wars, that being Samurai Lore and Films (Especially that of Akira Kurosawa) but most of all, arguably one of the best Manga ever published "Lone Wolf and Cub" About a Ronin Samurai who travels with his Son.

In spite of everything the Jedi and force powers were mostly unknown or just known as a myth, especially in the unknown regions and the outer rim. There were only 10000 Jedi in a gigantic universe full of different worlds and species. Furthermore, lots of Jedi died during the Order 66, so they were even rarer to witness as they were already.

Maybe it's me but I see some references here: the creature's hole reminded me of the hole of Sarlacc from Return of the Jedi (which was Boba Fett's doom btw), also Mando's attempt to penetrate the Jawa sandrawler was like Indiana Jones riding on the German tank in The last crusade. Plus if we take this planet is not Tatooine it would be interesting to know how the jawas manage to travel across the galaxy. They are seemingly very simple creatures with no ability to build or fly a spaceship, yet they appear in multiple worlds.

It's amazing to see how powerful the baby is. It takes Jedis years of training to lift something like that but the baby can do it with little to no training

Yoda was surely kind and soft hearted, but according to some books/comics, that little gremlin was also able to perform some dark and sinister forces without crossing the lines tobte dark side; very much like Mace Windu und Count Dooku before his fall

I have to say, this was the BEST reaction that I have seen about this episode. SO much fun. The two of you were having SO much fun. Kat at the beginning was, just start the show, stop talking...I need it in my eyeballs. Yes, I think we all were shocked by the length of the shows, but I'm SO happy about the product that we are receiving. Better the best pacing, than longer. Jawas, yep they are obnoxious. Yes...definitely vermin. I love how The Mandalorian disintegrated three or more of them. The crawler was amazing. Yes, the Blurg would have killed him, if it wasn't for the child. The only parts of CGI that I have seen that are not the best are the Blurgs. For some reason...it just doesn't look great. Some times it is great, but some times it just looks OFF. The rear-end cave was an amazing scene. I actually hadn't thought of the butthole. That is funny. The Mudhorn (got the name from the closed captioning) was an amazing beast. Got the best of him. Thank goodness for "Baby Yoda", what so many people are calling the child. We know it is NOT actually baby Yoda, but it is of his species. If Yoda and Yaddel had a baby, then he could be called Yodel (JK). Force sensitives are fewer and far between. Yes, the mythical creatures (Jedi). He and Kuill could not understand what actually happened. Leave us the alone. Being on the outskirts. That is a great idea. They are out there, not wanting to be involved in the Grand Struggle between Lightside and Darkside, Good and Bad, they just want to live their lives. Great perspective. Some say that he may give the child up to the Imperial (Werner Hezog character) and Dr. Pershing. Then, afterwards (also after he has obtained his Beskar Steel), have second thoughts and go back to get the Child...with Cara Dune and IG-11 (yes, I think he is back). Trandoshons are going after the child, too. He may get in a lot of trouble by killing other bounty hunters. He already may be in trouble for shooting (and possibly killing...don't think so) IG-11. Something in my mind says that killing other Bounty Hunters isn't part of the Code of the Bounty Hunter's Guild. Greef Carga (Carl Weathers character) may NOT be too happy with him, when he finds out. The child is amazing. Is it CGI or a puppet? Or both? It is SO real. Yes, we do not know its gender, nor its species...for that matter. Also, what does this say for Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker? IF the Emperor is really back, then the Force may be balancing out again...giving us another strong Lightside Force user in the Child? It is the first thing that came to mind at the end of Chapter 1 (especially after seeing Freddie Prinze Jr's rant on The Force): collider.com/freddie-prinze-jr-shuts-down-toxic-star-wars-fans/. You have probably already seen it, but just in case. Balance. That is what the Force is seeking. Very interesting (in Yoda's voice). Yes, when the child wanted to "heal" the Mandalorian. Knowing what we know about him not understanding what happened with the Mudhorn, then we can look at this scene with a new set of eyes. He didn't understand what the child was trying to do. I don't think he didn't want to be healed...I just think he didn't understand that the child is Force sensitive and CAN heal him. Yes, the tone of series is just SO George Lucas serial show. I think IF George Lucas could have done a TV show back in his time, this is EXACTLY what he would have wanted to produce (not that he could have, but at least wanted). His son (in spirit) is Dave Filoni. He was the Padwan to the Master. I'm so happy for Sonny. He is like a kid in the Candy Store. I can imagine that Kat has heard ALL of this many times from him, off camera. You can tell when she is like...we are done. Wrap it up. I love the dynamic that the two of you have. Btw: I think he's gonna honor the bounty contract and give Baby Yoda away. I mean, he is a member of the Guild and a Mandalorian, not honoring a contract could have extreme repercussions and would be a stain on his honor. I hope he's gonna honor the contract, deliver Baby Yoda, then the second the contract is honored kill everyone and take the baby back :D

It‘s totally normal that he is not in the picture concerning the force; Han Solo came from a Core World (Corellia) which was part of the Republic and the Empire and around ten years old during Clone Wars and didn‘t believe it too first! There were how many, a few thousand Jedi on it‘s peak before the Clone Wars, doing missions over ten to hundred thousands of worlds only part of the republic! And these characters here are in the outer-rim, mostly non imperial/non Republican worlds, so there was ne reason a Jedi ever entered these planets if it weren‘t explorers

So I was not mistaken when I assumed in Episode 1 that the planet is Tatooine. On approach it looked exactly like it. And can I just say, that those were the best 30 minutes of Star Wars in ages.

Jon Favreau might be the only one who likes the Holiday special... Good one. I thought this episode was good but not as good as Chapter 1, but now I want to know where the Mandalorian goes from here now that he knows that baby has Force Power, which is what Yoda's species has and they're a scarce and elusive group of what their species are and are never named. Some theory is they live on forest and swamp worlds, which is almost like Amazonian tribes which are still being discovered today.

Well, I think I know what you can get Kat for Christmas now. Once The Baby Yoda plushy or pleshy is released.

Jawa are pretty intelligent as far as the races in starwars go, They build those land crawlers on every world they inhabit, and they're able to disassemble any machine they scavenge and "repair" droids for sale... And while Ugnaughts are super intelligent and capable of building starships and droids out from scrap/salvage, the Jawa have never gotten involved in galactic politics or the many galactic wars. . . So maybe Jawa are the "smartest" people in the galaxy.
