What's with the complaining about episodes 5 and 6 I thought people want a good star wars series?

I want Bossk to join Mando and wind up fighting the devil guy with barehands

The Reel Rejects the show is great, but I find his lack of kills disturbing

I have read where some people complained about the Mandalorian because, in their view, the series is only 8 episodes long, and it's not gone as far as they feel it should towards resolving what they believe is the main plot. These people seem to be treating the entire series as a movie, instead of the serial it is. I can't help but feel the first three episodes got them into this thinking. Those episodes appeared to be structured around a central theme, with episode 3 being the ending of that set or Act. It was episode 4 when I started hearing the label, "filler episode," used to describe episodes that do not deal with resolving the, baby Yoda/bounty hunter guild, situation. People should understand that at the time Disney+ went live, The Mandalorian was the only new content to draw people to the streaming platform. It just may have been the case that Disney initially only paid for 3 episodes in case The Mandalorian flopped and/or Disney+ subscriptions failed to materialize. As a result, those episodes were treated as a short story with a semi-conclusion that, if forced to, could have stood on its own. When it was evident The Mandalorian was a hit, and subscriptions soared because people wanted to see it, Disney went with 5 more episodes to make the first season, 8 episodes long. Interest has been so great that they renewed it for another season as well. I take this show for what it is, and happily watch what it gives me. I've begun ignoring complaint comments because those people must be too young to know what a serial is. I have loved every episode. Not equally, but still loved all as a whole. I think Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni are doing a super job with this show.

I couldn't agree more. Honestly, it's one of my favourite parts of the show, just see him go from one job to the next, gives them more of a chance to branch out

I enjoy lots of serialized shows where it’s essentially one long story divided over a season (or multiple seasons) but at the same time there’s nothing wrong with an episodic approach which it seems this show is going for. I’ve seen so many people throwing around the term “filler episode” and not really understanding that they’re deliberately going old school with this, in the style of the western TV shows of the 50s and 60s.

Yeah, considering they killed what seemed to be the only human guard on board and destroyed all the security droids. Though I'm sure that when Davan doesn't report in, the New Republic will send someone to investigate. Though I doubt that's the kind "rescue" they want. But it's what they deserve.

This episode was the best example of fan service. They referenced Canto Bite and Jar Jar memes
