The Mandalorian is DUMB | Lucasfilm is a DISASTER 

That whiteboard is the symbol of the disaster. They are not creating a world because they are inspired to follow a thread of events for a character within a world. They are creating a world and characters that tick boxes and satisfy constraints. They literally made creativity into a mcdonalds production line.

I can't believe we now have Lizzo in Star Wars. Peak modernity.

I think Lizzo played the role of a noble leading a society completely devoid of anyone working and who’d die without robots perfectly.

I love how it was made clear that Din was being set up to be the next leader of the mandalorians but in season 3 its immediately shifted back to Bo Katan. You can tell that ending really ruffled some feathers behind the scenes and season 3 has been "corrected" because of it.

When lizzo was exiling that man in the 5th episode I legit thought she was faking it or something, and that she was secretly plotting against mando.Turns out it was just bad acting

Season 3 looks like what happens when you let studio executives make a show out of their dumb ideas.

The drop in quality of season 3 is completely shocking to me. So sad seeing what happened to this IP…

Gotta love how they decided to use a mass-produced kid’s toy helmet, complete with the kid-friendly enlarged visor for that boy in the opening scene.

You missed the part where Mando sends R5D4 out to the mines first, and when contact is lost, Mando says, Oh well, I didn't really need a robot anyway, I was just too lazy to do it myself. Rendering the previous side quests to get a working robot helper a complete waste of time.

That cut to Ben saying “That’s no moon” after showing Lizzo had me dead 🤣

Why does Disney want us to like Lizzo so bad?

This week was a great episode of the Book of Bo Katan. Shame they stopped making episodes of the Mandalorian.

You got to feel for that one person in the Disney story group who is a die hard Star Wars fan (legends included) and is pitching all these epic ideas but keeps getting shut-down with words like 'DIVERSITY', 'DINOSAUR', 'ACTUAL ENDING'. Also, Mando has been the main character for seasons 1 and 2 and they have a note saying 'No Single (main) character'....

I felt my franchise's true death when I saw Jack black and Lizzo in a star wars 😞

I'm convinced this needed to be a limited series. If you wrap it up when Luke comes and takes him, the story is perfect, needs nothing else.

When I heard that Disney was buying Star Wars over 10 years ago now, I remarked: "Oh no. They are going to have Vader doing Vaudeville!" And while that was rhetorical for Disney essentially ruining Star Wars, even my worst imaginings were not as bad as what they actually did.

It gives me some measure of comfort to believe that out there in the multiverse somewhere, there's a Lucas that never sold Star Wars to Disney.

Having just watched a couple of new Star wars trailers, Ashoka etc ... I think we can now confidently acknowledge the shift is complete. Star Wars is now officially She Wars.

I am truly surprised how John Favreau and Dave Filoni can let the Mandalorian fall so far so fast..Honestly i have no idea what is going on and were this is truly going..Plus I had no idea who Lizzie is but i got serious Rings of Power vibes with Disa and Prince Durin.

The Black Saber thing looks like something from Power Rangers, Groku jumping around looks like how I would have played with my action figures when I was 12, and those "pirates" kind of look like low budget Mangalores from the Fifth Element.

I think Pedro is done with this show, and they are in the process of writing him off to take a back seat and only return for cameos and team ups in other series

The worst part of all is is that us, the fans who are watching our childhood be milked and turned in to a joke are completely outnumbered by newer fans who like Star Wars this way. In my opinion Obi-Wan Kenobi was the worst piece of Star Wars content to ever be released, yet it still did very well money wise and even got positive reviews. As long as Disney still gets money they won't care to put effort into these movies and shows. At this point it's almost relieving to find someone else who also doesn't think the Book Of Boba Fett, Obi-Wan Kenobi and the Mandolorian Season 3 are cinematic masterpieces and the peak of this once golden, now dead franchise.

I find it shocking that Disney had a working model with The Mandalorian, but abandoned it in favor of the same model that has consistently lost them money. They should have kept Grogu with Luke, but have him appear regularly with Mando visiting 2-3 times a season. A Grogu cameo early in the season could have lead to a 2 episode Grogu arc. They get to keep the Grogu merch, while allowing the story to advance beyond the simple premise of a mercenary babysitter. It could also have been an opportunity to introduce a new character that could be merchandised. Punishment for the helmet removal could have included Mando being forced to take on an apprentice. They could have given him an animal/droid companion that could also be merchandised. I think that Disney caters to the Woke crowd because they are the only assholes trying to cancel people.

The amount of baffled I was to see a docking system hijack a starfighter was only surpassed by seeing Jack Black, which was then only surpassed by seeing DOCTOR BROWN. This was then of course surpassed by a hyper-athletic super battle droid chase in lieu of actually having Mando finally confront his childhood trauma and battle SBDs. This was then only surpassed by them adding a droid bar, which is something I wrote into my Edge of the Empire campaign in 2020.

You are doing such awesome work Gary. My older sister took me to see "Star Wars" in 1977 when I was 10 yo. Despite not being a SF fan she absolutely loved the movie. The horrible bastardization that they are doing to one of our most beloved IPs as well as the demolishment of the Marvel comics franchise makes me sick to my stomach. (Taking away Mjolnir and giving it to his girlfriend? COME ON!!) At this point I think it's past the point of any return but websites like you, AZ,Mauler, and It's a Gundam give me hope. To think the first two season kept me so entertained. I never expected such a downfall with the third season but so far I feel like this is where it is going unless some miracle tie-in happens very soon.

The mandalolorian should be perfectly good working template of the future starwars, but they have to ruin it again to show weak male characters and to feed abnormally strong and unrelatable super women character. What happen to Hollywood and disney, why they want to push some agenda even though fans rejected so many times. They are butchering all iconic which we loved once.

At this point in time the fan films that take place in the Star Wars universe, outperform what Disney produces with just acting alone

When the armourer told Bo Katan to remove her helmet I legitimately thought they were going to have a lesbian kiss and make them a couple. Thats my expectation now when watching any new media, just waiting for something woke to happen.

I quite liked season 2's episodes with Bill Burr's character Mayfield. Way better acting chops than Pedro, and Gina Carano and Temuera Morrison solidified that. With the slight gripes I had with the fight scene being very low effort, the Ahsoka episode was also great with Rosario Dawson (didn't really like Michael Biehn being killed). I was honestly waiting to watch season 3, but when it came out I completely forgot, and after watching your videos on it and talking on FNT, I might binge it at some point out of morbid curiousity . It's sad for me, I mostly liked the character of Obi Wan's sister in law.... to hear that she's now a generic girl boss is sad... so sad.

I just finished watching the Lizzo & JB episode and man, does this season stink. Mando has absolutely gone to playing second fiddle in his own series, as EVERYTHING in this season serves to elevate Bo-Katan while he fades in the background, bumbles around and constantly gets reprimanded for his methods, when he's allowed to do anything of significance. I laughed so hard in the bit where he advances in the waters of Mandalore, only to lose his footing and IMMEDIATELY lose consciousness, forcing Bo-Katan to save his hide for the second time in 10 minutes. You can just tell the seething rage of woke writers, full of ire that their best show is lead by a competent male character, pushing him to the background and supplanting him with a gender swap that stinks of Mary Sue. What a completely predictable shame.

I literally turned to my fiancée and asked her if we were still watching the Mandolorian. I thought we might have ended up in another show... it was honestly really bad. The whole season 3 was awful. I can't stand it.

I really find it hard to believe that Jon Favreau is writing without outside influence. You can't write for the Disney executives and not constantly be worried about making sure you're serving THE MESSAGE in your storytelling.

She Wars, M-She-U, and Indiana Jona. My childhood has been destroyed before my eyes and continues to go down further and further. I think it's time I just stop watching or even paying attention to new movies and TV shows. It all just depresses me.

Disney clickbaited us with the trailer which made it look din and grogu on the journey to mandalore with some side quest on the way and bo katan entering mid season to fight din and get back the dark saber. Instead they completed the task in two episodes and it suddenly shifted in bo katan show which gives bad taste since no one likes getting clickbaited. If they really wanted bo katan as the main character they should have just made the title Bo Katan and people would have still watched it like the Ahsoka show.

Definitely many behind the scenes corrections occuring: undoing of grogu plot line, undoing of din being set up to unite mandalore, undoing of any sense of direction what so ever

Season 3 doesn't feel like Mando at all. Extremely disappointed after waiting so long. Season 1&2 were great. They made Mando into a Beta male. The show is now all about Bo Katan. Gorgu doesn't even have a role anymore.

I am glad to see this review. I thought I was losing it since I didn't understand what was going on either. Good to find out that it was just bad story telling.

Basically the Mandalorian has done a Star Trek Picard, but in reverse.

1:05 sums up the quality of obi wan kenobi so well. She gently taps the storm troopers helmet and he is defeated... because woman. Mando season 1 and 2 were pleasant. I enjoyed them. The relationship between din and grogu was great. It was the story. All other events served to cement that core story and it worked. It wasn't incredible but it was pretty damn good compared to everything else made since 2010... And then they reversed the entire point of the show by bringing grogu back. Season 1 and 2 may as well have never happened. They also managed to destroy their own formula despite bringing grogu back. The show doesn't focus on their relationship. It used to drive the show. Now grogu is a prop. What was even the point. The only reason that makes any sense is merchandise because it sure as hell doesnt help the story. Din has become severely incompetent half the time for no apparent reason while in subsequent scenes being temporarily bad ass again. The only reason i can see for his undulating ability levels is that they fluctuate according to how much bo katans story needs them to... It is now the bo katan show. Din is now the hype boy and occasional fetcher/librarians assistant for the middle aged woman with a badly dyed bob. The show is also riddled with poor acting, poor pacing, set ups without pay off, contradictory events. For example IG11 story in episode 1 where Din will only work with him (due to his previously established deep mistrust and hatred of droids), promises to get the part required to repair him and immediately buys another droid, a defective one at that. Not only does it undo the story of episode 1 but the previously street wise protagonist became an absolute muppet who can be skinned by any trader with low morals and rapid syllable delivery. The supposedly scary pirate captain looks like someone threw some fish bowl plastic seawade at a glue covered mannequin and moved its jaw up and down with a puppeteers stick. I have no clue how bo katan was supposed to have lived in both ways after walking "the way" for a maximum of 1 week. I giant dinosaur lizard had a boy in its stomach for a whole night and he somehow was unharmed... Don't get me started on how bad that fat woman next to Jack Black was in episode 6. She acts worse than preschoolers in a nativity play. I played Herod with more conviction at age 5. Needless to say I cancelled Disney plus ages ago but watched the new season at my holiday accommodation because Disney plus is activated on the tvs here. But I leave tonight and definitely won't be subscribing for this trash.

Bo Katan’s arc follows the exact formula for a Mary Sue: the female character starts at 100 and the arc is to figure out she was at 100 all the time. She’s always been great.

All of this could be erased if Lucasfilm would have included a performance clause in the sales contract. I believe that eventually ALL content created after the transfer to Disney, will be completely replaced, even if it has to be done with fan made content. Hopefully this will all be lost to time. I feel like Lucas SHOULD be able to sue for billions over the treatment of the franchise. It's criminal what they have done. Purely from a business standpoint alone, they've done EVERYTHING they can to destroy the greatest cinematic money machine of all time, all in the name of a ridiculously stupid agenda based on equality of outcome and identity politics.

A pity Bo Katan wasn't the one who had the bad tweet, they would have actually had to keep Din as the main character.

I grew up loving Star Wars, but unfortunately it's a "pretty much dead" franchise and it's become nothing more than a platform for the Woke. Really sad.

Slice of life dinner scenes can be fine. It's a staple of anime for showing group camaraderie and social dynamics, and it's also a good time to have characters think about things (and have other characters interject, along with all of the stuff that you can do with that). Problem is, slice of life dinner scenes require characters that you want to see sitting around eating dinner together.

I loved the first two seasons of the Mandalorian. I checked out after the third episode of season three (the pointless episode about the Republic's "Re-education camps"). After I heard that Lizzo and Jack Black were on the latest episode, I decided the show jumped the shark for me. The Mandalorian was the only spark left in the Star Wars franchise and Kathleen Kennedy, Jon Favereau and Disney have driven the final nail in the coffin. No more Star Wars or Disney for me.

Next time he is in his spaceship, Pedro should let go of the controls, turn to us, and say “Just don’t forget whose show this is!”…
