I’m watching this in the past.

The Dark Saber has a Beskar HILT, the blade is energy of course... the pointy end of the Spear could potentially pierce Beskar Armor, the Dark Saber blade was repelled by Mando's Beskar Armor when Gideon hit him with it, just like when Ahsoka hit him with her shiny white blades. But i got nothing on the Iron Man Micro Missiles. It wasn't the launcher on the gauntlet she forged but the ammunition... is that a weapon that can pierce Beskar? ...does that matter? i don't know.

​@@ZeroB4NG if you make the ammunition, you are still making weapons. A hilt is still part of the weapon and can still be used to kill or aid in the killing of someone. Beskar used to be actual armor, that being it was strong but it could only take so much damage and didn't make the wearer invincible. But Disney turned it into physical plot armor.

@@ZeroB4NG Plus he has beskar flamethrower and Beskar jetpack, which he used as a weapon before. And she is worried that beskar spear can pierce beskar armour? No it can't. It can of course stab you where your armour isn't, but no one in the show shoots there...plus you can just shoot the person with a spear. Explosives are way more dangerous for Mandos than a spear.

​​@@strategicperson95hats more: its laughably inconsistent in canon now. Dins beskar armor is tanking an absurd amount of abuse without even a scratch. Bobas beskar armor (which was said to be of remarkable purity in a recent book) is dented and battered. And not just the big dent on the helmet (that bane was able to do with a small blaster pistol lol) but the right shoulder pad and the chest plates had dents as well.

While it does kinda suck, at least the show actually attempts at explaining how Boba changed and developed as a character, compared to Luke where all we know is “Ben did a bad thing and so Luke immediately gave up on life and went to live on some rock to sit and mope and die”. Boba actually wanted to get shit done as opposed to Luke who became the exact opposite of what he was

@@scottk8559 I get what you mean, but it seems to me that a good enough script can often cover up deficiencies in acting, while the reverse is seldom true. Lots of really good actors have at least a few films that are terrible anyway, despite their performance. Book of Boba isn't excelling in either department: it has an OK actor with a terrible script.

True. Although that still seems really stupid. How would they have built on the outside in the first place? And why? Seems like it'd be really difficult and expensive to, like, park ships perfectly, or magnetize the workers to the base of the ring, to try and build shit, with centripetal force trying to throw them and all their tools off, just to build, like, slums. Especially in Star Wars, where we know there are tons of uninhabited and barely-inhabited planets to live on.

Excactly, they are on the outside part but facing the right way to get the effect of gravity. So its not a plot hole, it makes in-universe and well some scientific sense as well.

It's all about whether it likes you or not. It is much more cranky with people who try to give it away (like Din), or people who incline to the a-hole community (like Paz.)

@@Hello-bi1pm lol - I believe the darksaber kyber crystal has a kind of sentience. And connection to the Force, even if the wielder is not a Force user.

I don't mind that the darksaber is heavy depending on what you're like, but why is that? Does it have something to do with the fact that kybor crystals have souls, or does that machanic have thematic relevnce that i forgot?

@@ThreadBareHope1234 It's not that kyber crystals have "souls", it's that they are actually sentient in a way. And that they are connected to the Force. To a Jedi, a lightsaber is not simply a weapon. It forms part of his/her connection to the Force. For a non-Force user, it was almost impossible to master a lightsaber. The Darksaber is a little different. Although it was made by a Jedi, he made it in such a way that it could be handled by his non-Force using heirs. But the darksaber is still a lightsaber, the kyber crystals within it will either bond with the user through the Force and enable their skill and power, or make the saber seem heavy and clumsy due to the user thinking of it _only_ as a weapon.

As well as these Sabers having a "will of their own" logic. Why didn't the lightsabers in Grievous' possession (cause they were taken from Jedi he killed) rebel against him sooner? Also I despise how the Darksaber went from a trinket that Pre Viszla's ancestors stole from the Jedi Temple; and now has become Mandalorian Excalibur. Especially since these new additions just screw with the lore further. Like if this damn saber really had that much influence over Mandalorian culture, why didn't the Duchess have it in her possession to legitimize her rule? She could have kept it in a ceremonial manner that didn't contradict with her Pacifist stance. Expanding the Darksabers lore beyond what they initially established was a grave mistake.

@@strategicperson95 ooh that’s a massively good point in Grievous, and yeah I hated the whole “Darksaber wielder=Manda’lor (the Office of Authority, not the planet); while on the topic of Mandalore and newer SW content, I stopped watching Rebels as soon as they got to Kanan “teaching” Sabine to use the darksaber, which only made the Jedi come across as Xenophobic holier-than-thou zealots, dismissing all traditional warrior heritage and fighting styles of the Mandalorians. Yet, for some reason all the Mandalorians who hear him and his blatant hate speech/antimandoic rhetoric either ignore it, take it full on the face & cower, or immediately agree with him. However, no one mentions the Jedi, supposed masters of peace and wisdom, owning a literal slave army, and espousing teachings that they blatantly ignore at the drop of a hat to fit their mildest of conveniences. Even if you don’t wanna have him NOT be violent, have him be on a hair-trigger, he’s got people with him who can deal with issues tactfully so he doesn’t have to step in, have it so he’s smart enough to know that his approach of killing everything doesn’t always work and then brings in people to do the talking and then we see him itching to do the killing

He's not a hero, he's not even an anti-hero. Boba Fett is the cowboy with the BLACK hat. They even put the sound of spurs over him walking in Empire to give him that feel. But filoni already has a cowboy character of his own invention that he wants to shill instead.

Yeah they are still facing the same way, riding on the lowest part of the ring with centrifugal force pulling them down/out. They fall like that because of exactly what he's criticizing them for. Maybe Robothead was drinking while watching and writing this. TBF I feel the need to drink while watching Boba let alone having to make content about it.

Yea came here to say this. I didn’t like the show, but this wasn’t one of its problems. Now if I were going to review the review, I’d do a little chuckle and say “didn’t he have enough to critique about this show without making stuff up?”

Not sure what is worse, Ashoka being shoe horned into everything or boba being turned into a shitty version of the godfather

@@delta2372 The latter. Sure, I hate that Ahsoka is in literally everything of late but at least that's different than raping an OG character like Boba. Guy deserved much better but then that's what the EU is for.

@@Aikurisu boba in the EU if I remember correctly became the new mandalore and led the mandalorians, now he's a joke and his old EU accomplishments are now split and watered down with the actual strong female protagonist of the "boba show" and the mandalorian.

That ending was ok. I thought "we finally got rid of that stupid puppet, is this show gonna be finally about Mandalorian and we explore his character and his culture..." And they brought Grogu back right after, because he prints money...

Wouldn’t say it was one of the best endings. It heavily relied on nostalgia rather than good storytelling. Plus what they did with Luke makes no sense. There’s no reason why grogu can’t be trained by both Luke and mando because Luke doesn’t abide by the ‘no attachment’ rule.

@@CoercedJab Here’s where you are wrong. Fans of Robothead, EFAP, Drinker, Nerdrotic, etc. actually LOVE the media. The fact that it’s being butchered before our eyes is the problem. It’s not that we think little of it. Quite the opposite. We hate this new stuff so much because we regard these franchises VERY highly. Or at least did at one point. It’s really the fans of the current constant Marvel/StarWars/Disney sludge who have no investment in real storytelling that are the ones who actually think very little of these shows and franchises.

At this point, it's hard for Disney to make anything "awful", because they have the money and talent on the technical side of things to polish every turd to a shine. But it seems hardly fair to give the absolutely terrible writing a passing grade just because it has such a crutch.

@@shadow-squid4872 Exactly, nothing wrong with it. I personally love the new look they gave it. Totally fits in with Mando’s style, and I also loved that they gave some new light to the old Naboo N-1. It’s such a cool ship!

Even then, it can be waved away with the "It's Star Wars" argument. Like, we have Star Destroyers that can generate gravity wells, right? Stop ships from entering hyperspace? It isn't out of the realm of possibility there's artificial gravity generators placed throughout the ring which give a sort of radius around it, like an atmosphere, that keeps things attached to it no matter what side stuff is on. Hell, that could be a plot point if you wanted to do a Star Wars thing set on a ring. Maybe a Rebel cell is set to blow the shit out of one of those gravity generators or make it intentionally malfunction and generate too much gravity which destabilizes the whole ring and ultimately destroys it. Have Imperial special forces try to save the ring and prevent that from happening. You'd get an angle where Imperials are the good guys, Rebels would be willing to sacrifice a "planet's" worth of people all for their cause, and you get a new and interesting setting along with the opportunity to do some cool "Imperial Commando/Republic Commando 2" stuff. Maybe it isn't an episode or series, but a game. Literally Republic Commando 2, where Sev splits from the Republic and joins the Rebels after Order 66 (as was the original plan) meanwhile Scorch, Fixer, and Boss all try to find him over the years even after they become Imperial Commandos. Perhaps the final setting of the game is on this ring city, and the 3 clone commandos have to fight Sev and his team at their target generator in a final battle as Imperial Navy ships clash against a small Rebel fleet just outside of the ring's atmosphere close by. It'd be ironic in a way, a Republic/Imperial Commando game finishing on a ring world. Specifically because Republic Commando was designed to be a Halo competitor. You could leave easter eggs throughout the game paying homage to Halo. Perhaps one or two of the aliens in a cantina cutscene or evacuation cutscene will be an Elite or a Grunt drinking or running and panicking. You could have an Imperial Marine with a unique voice and gung ho attitude throwing around the "ALRIGHT MARINES, WE'RE GONNA KICK SOME REBEL ASS" stuff.... I'd make it if I could do it. I'd do all of it. It'd be great.

It was literally revealed and teased at the end of Mando season 2. It was always meant to be a side story that eventually tied back into the main Mando plot

@@shadow-squid4872 There's plenty to go on there. "Grogu chooses to be a Mandoloreon over a Jedi" (undoing the main arc of seasons 1 and 2) needs to be a mainline Mandoloreon season 3 plot.

Heck the final episodes could have been used for other things like fleshing out Cad Bane and Boba's relationship; especially for the mass majority that didn't know about the lost unfinished episode, nor read Disney's comics; which don't matter as Continuity under Disney is essentially the Right Hand doesn't know what the Left Hand is doing.

None of these Star Wars hate channels care about any of the animated shows, and I bet if they did they would chop the whole show up as “a dull and boring experience that relies far too much on fan service and is only for dumb kids”

I'd at least give Sabine a pass on just the fact she never used a melee weapon until that point. Then the Mandalorian came to screw with that by saying "it has a will of its own." Oh really now. Then why didn't the lightsabers in General Grievous' possession rebel against him? There is no reason to cover for the writers own mistakes.

Sabine was a mistake and a terrible "hey fellow cool kids" character. Everything about her was forced and dumb.

Yeah he could have, especially since the "plot" is suppose to be Boba taking a piece out of Jabba's Empire. Which would have included much more than damn Tatooine, let alone just one of the major spaceports. Tatooine was just Jabbas retreat/center of operations. But instead they do a pseudo Godfather story mixed with Boba growing into being the Local Sheriff. Disney we already had better stories like Rango do that, and it doesn't fit Boba Fett who is more like the Man with no Name on his most Ruthless. Boba should have been more like Tyber Zann. But Disney is not interested in having an actual protagonist that isn't heroic (at least in their creators minds). They can't handle having a main character that does what be unheroic deeds from the start. Artemis Fowl anyone.

Wouldn’t be surprised tbh. People will watch one episode, point out one or two bad things and then act as if the entire show is a failure and that Disney has ruined Star Wars yet again and that Star Wars sucks and yadda yadda yadda and make an entire video about it solely for people that already feel the same way
