The Mandalorian - Season 3 Eps 6 Reaction 

Never thought I would see a buddy cop show where Separatist sympathiser Christopher Lloyd betrayed royalty Lizzo who married former Imperial Jack Black. This episode was WILD.

This episode was fun, goofy, and sweet. It will be hated by everyone.

I love it when Bo choose "Just shoot the monologuing villain before he finishes" option.

He shall now be called Sir Grogu the Hungry.

So many you tubers are posting bad reviews of this one, but I knew Jay and Adam would approve. Thanks for being the guys I can rely on to recognize good star wars.

I love how Din is beginning to show that he’s learning from Bo. Less Dogmatic and more Logical when it comes to getting what he wants; to raise Grogu as his foundling and do his own thing.

Never thought I would see Jack Black in Star Wars, but I'm sure glad I did.

Grogu being food motivated makes him that much more relatable.

The “let’s go get this bitch a mythosaur” comment had me laughing so hard my roommate came upstairs to see what was going on. I love watching your reactions because they often mirror my own. I watch the episode and then come straight here to watch again with yall. I loved this episode.

This episode seems inspired by fairytales, the love at the start, the tea party with a happy couple, and the dastardly villain at the end

I remember hearing Christopher Lloyd would be in the show, but I never expected to see Jack Black and Lizzo in the Mandalorian. And I definitely didn’t expect Din to say Kuill’s catchphrase “I have spoken.”

I can understand not enjoying the direction and story this season, I enjoy it alot, but I am more mixed than previous seasons. But what I don't understand is people who say nothing is happening this season. The Mandos are uniting, they are showing the flaws and discontent of the New Republic, Mandalore now has an ally in the New Republic, and Bo has (at least for now) reclaimed her title as Manda'lor. They have also been setting up that there are multiple Imperial Warlords vying for power, setting an interesting stage for when Thrawn shows up. And the season isn't even over!

I know a lot of people don't like this episode, but I absolutely love it! Seeing Jack Black and Lizzo as a married couple in star wars felt like such an amazingly weird fever dream.

The fact that nobody has said "Great Scott!" When Christopher Lloyd appears is a travesty. Lol

What I really enjoyed was that they resolved the Darksaber situation without Din and Bo having to fight. And I dig that they've become a team. I also like how Bo's character has developed. She's no longer acting like she's entitled to rule. Being abandoned and then spending time with Din has made her a better leader.

This was a strange episode, but I loved it. Mix of old Doctor Who, Blade Runner, and I Robot. I know there have been a lot of complaints about this season, but it is about bringing the Mandos together while throwing in hints and clues about what is going on in the rest of the galaxy.

I was describing the "CSI: Mandalorian" plot to someone and it hit me: the spark pad they found on the droid with the droid bar address? It's the droid equivalent of finding a matchbook in a detective story. 🤣

I love the " Bo don't go crazy" because I was thinking the same thing!!! Please stay on course and keep Din by your side, he is a good advisor.

I said it before when Bo-Katan saved Din and I’ll say it again, ALL HAIL QUEEN BO-KATAN KRYZE!!!! She needed to fall out of favor with her fleet because she needed to go back to her roots on Mandalore as well as spend time with the Children Of The Watch to completely rethink what it means to truly be Mandalorian. The Armorer was very wise when she said that Bo-Katan can walk both worlds, she can TRULY unite her people and finally take back their homeworld. And Lizzo was great, but freaking JACK BLACK and CHRISTOPHER LLOYD! 🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯These men were such a massive part of my childhood. Also I’m 100% for droid rights!

I saw some people commenting on other videos that this episode should've taken place earlier in the season and they should already be setting up the finale at this point. I think those people have forgotten that: 1. In season 1, the 6th episode was the episode that introduced Bill Burr's character, which did nothing to establish the finale. 2. In season 2, the 7th episode was a side-plot that could easily have been skipped, but people loved it for the depth it added to Bill Burr's character. 3. We have likely already been teased about the finale conflict with that scene at the end of the last episode. So really we shouldn't be expecting them to tell us the finale plot line at this point, there are more than enough plot threads hanging for the 7th and 8th episodes to tie up at least a few of without the plot coming out of nowhere, and even if it did, it wouldn't be the end of the world.

I said it after that episode. The monster defeated Din then Bo defeated the monster so the saber was hers. I knew this would happen.

Glad to see a positive perspective because the Star Wars fandom has been on fire so far this season and especially this episode the online negativity is tiring

They really need to make these seasons longer. Not just Star Wars, not just Disney. Having grown up on 20+episode seasons, I am sick to death of 6-8 episode season.

It occurs to me that the Armorer always knew the Mithosaurs aren't extinct, and is pulling an Uncle Iroh in telling everyone that they are all gone instead. She's protecting them, because their continued existence is more important than simply using them personal gain. I think that's why she let Bo-Katan remove her helmet. She's starting to recognize that the Way is her (and others') preferred way, but it is not the only way, and that other Mandalorians are no less so because they take a different path. After all, her own way (and most others) would ultimately lead to the extinction of the Mithosaurs, and she already believes that's wrong. And now Bo-Katan herself has come to an understanding of Din's people as well. They've all begun to recognize that there are more important aspects of being Mandalorian than just the nitpicky details of which ethos you follow under it.

Grogu is gonna have so many titles when he grows up. He was knighted and he's not even a full Jedi yet. If he's ever introduced at a Royal Ball the announcer will be..."I have to say all this?"

Bryce Dallas Howard never disappoints. Give her a Star Wars movie.

My thoughts on this episode. Sorry for a lot but I had to type it all out! THIS IS MY FAVORITE EPISODE!☺️ 1) I was NOT expecting Jack Black at all! Good thing I avoided spoilers! But honestly, I did NOT recognize Christopher Lloyd! The voice seemed familiar but his face and lack of hair I didn't know at all until the credits! 2) The planet is definitely a lot like Bespin in many ways from the interiors to the Ugnaughts. 3) I thought Ugnaughts just squealed annoyingly like in The Old Republic, but either that's not canon anymore, or only some do and others speak basic. 4) I LOVE the concept of having more inter-species love! I realized recently I'm pansexual so to me the personality is what matters, and I often imagine being in the Star Wars universe and falling for a wookiee or trandoshan (thoss scaly boys are one of my favorite with all those claws~) and not caring what others think, breaking the mold and just loving each other. Like the Mon Calamari and Quarren! 5) Hearing Clone Wars droid voices in live action is weird and unexpected lol. It's cool and I grew up on those droid voices as a kid, but I'm also used to the old, robotic sounding voices from the prequels and the original Battlefront games that seem fitting even now. 6) Seeing a B2 super battle droid run is an uncanny valley moment, it just seems strange lol. I wish they could run like that in video games!🤣 7) I love the "mirror" of the threat of humans replacing machines instead of the other way around like usual! 8) Axe Woves reminds me of Temuera Morrison at times.

Those Star Wars Fans: "This isn't Star Wars wtf is this George Lucas would never do something like this" Me: "This feels like something George Lucas would've created for Clone Wars just for the fun of it" But yeah I actually really liked this episode gave me Doctor Who vibes mixed with the wackiness of 2000AD comics and classic 1950s Space Opera storylines. But would've preferred this to be early in the season.

I was literally going WTF!! WTF!! When I saw jack and lizzo and then Christopher Lloyd and then that ending was fire!! Bryce Dallas Howard knocked it out of the park once again… best episode so far!!

The planets domed cities are VERY similar to Mandalore, this is very much "what they could be" if they get their shit together. This season is alot of set up, which I understand can be annoying to some. But considering we have 2 more shows coming out this year that are all part of the same overall story, I'm really not stressing. Mando, Boba, Ahsoka, Skeleton crew, it's basically GOT if the different character stories were different shows.

Jay's video game idea is brilliant. That would be so cool to build your own Mando. Jedi Survivor should be a good compromise though

I loved this episode. It had a little of everything. More Mandalorans and what they were up to, what can happen to droids, Din and Bo working well together to solve a problem, put Bo back where she was supposed to be and a few funny scenes. Great.

This is one of my favorite episodes! It was CSI: Mandalorian, and I loved every moment. Jack Black, Lizzo, and Christopher Llyod! Yes, yes, yes!!

Loved all the Logan's Run influences in this episode (the domed city and tube travel, the pair of hunters chasing down the runner though the city, the laser wielding droid going berserk...) which if you haven't watched would make a great reaction

This feels like an RPG side quest and Din is like the sidekick that just there with you Vibing 😂

No one is gonna mention Bo’s flirting with din- trying to impress him after they take down the big war drone and then openly complimenting him in front of the other mandos! That is exactly the way to get dins interest. I totally ship them and have for weeks!

I intensely like that her dark saber story is saving someone, rather than defeating her own. That's a new legacy for a new Mandalore.

This whole episode was a fever dream, in the very best way.

First the Beskar Spear and now the Darksaber; Mando Now Really needs a new weapon. {Here's to hoping when he joined back up with the covert, the Armorer restocked him with new whistling birds}. Or at least a new melee weapon besides his Vibro-knife.

I love the idea of din djarin being Bo-Katan's enforcer, her right hand its an interesting dynamic.

The way Bo holds the Dark Saber at the end stands in contrast with how she held it in the animated series, where she held it above her head. This is a transformed Bo, more humble.

Man this was a fun episode. We got a blade runner esq chase scene, with grumpy cop and bad cop, you get to decide which is which. Very nice cameo's that did their thing and weren't too over the top with it. 10 out 10 drunk gonk droids passed out in an alley.

Boys, I’m so glad y’all are having such a positive attitude towards this episode, sure it was a side quest and a little cooky, but that’s how Clone Wars was, that’s how Star Wars is! But I just really appreciate that y’all are being fair and giving this episode the praise it deserves! So many ppl are boo-hooin and ripping this ep to shreds. It was GREAT.

I too was heartened by the scene with the droid bar, having long held that you can judge a character in Star Wars by how they treat droids. It's part of what pre-school me found fascinating about that galaxy far far away - there were machines that were MORE than objects, they had personality...

If a droid can be tortured, I think they probably have the capabilty of feeling pain and fear. Having said that, I think that puts them firmly the realm of sentient being.

Possibly my favorite episode. It was fun, it was goofy (but in a good way), with an epic "I'm in charge here" ass wooping, and coronation for Bo Katan. Dating back to her appearances in the Clone Wars and Rebels series, she's had an amazing story arc, and this felt like so much deserved redemption for her character. I'm not sure everyone will catch it, and might still be confused about who Bo Katan is, and why she's being thrust into the spotlight this season. If you've seen the animated shows, you know how much of a badass she is, for starters, but you can't have a show about Mandalorians and not address her character head on. I do wish they would've given us some flashbacks for those who haven't seen every single thing Star Wars produces.

Interesting change in the technology. On most other worlds everything looks very old, even holographic tech. They use those tiny displays, which I understand are a legacy of the era the original films were developed in. But here the displays were crisp and large.

Nice to see Christopher Lloyd channeling his Rickest Rick.

Someone hold my gonk back while I gooonk. Omg I’m rolling. This is why Din needs Bo. She’s better with droids. Also did no one notice that they played a version of the Night Owls theme when Bo challenged Axe? That made me very happy. That remains one of if not my favorite Mando tracks.

Season 1 was like this as well, the last 2 episodes were extremely action packed. I have high hopes for these next 2 episodes

Side missions help one accomplish their main mission. Filler has no purpose or consequence, so it has characters return to the state their were in prior. It's like eating lunch, stopping at the Jack in the Box as a side quest to accomplish the goal of having a productive work day. Lunch may fill you up, but it is not "filler". It has a purpose and an accomplishment.

I loved this episode it felt like an episode of Clone Wars 🤩

I loved this episode. Bryce Dallas Howard is so good with The Mandalorian. One of the main things I noticed in this episode, Din Djarin shows leadership and diplomacy in every confrontation. He got the Ugnaughts to talk to them. He got the Droid bartender to talk to them. His honesty in losing the dark saber brought the other Mandalorians around. Din is showing his leadership skills while standing beside Bo-Katan. Great episode. He always seems to know what to say. He is doing his part to reunite Mandalore.

Maybe Din will broker a deal that he will capture and return Moff himself. Lead into Ahsoka's series hunting Thrawn and they cross paths as Thrawn and Gideon are connected somehow. Bo will deal with some backlash politically as she hesitated to put Mandalorian's first

I felt like this episode was much needed to be light hearted and still action packed seeing Din and Bo working together was amazing and seeing Jack Black Lizzo and Christopher Lloyd in Star Wars was amazing!!!! never thought I would but I didn't realise how much I wanted them till the episode

One thing this season has done a fantastic thing of doing, is world building. We are seeing what life is like in parts of the galaxy we havent seen, learning about new systems, seeing how shaky the new republic is, seeing seeds of first order, and the biggest part of all....we are about to take back fucking MANDALORE. We spent 2 years entirely focused on Din and Grogu, its a breath of fresh air to see the rest of whats been happening since the fall of the Empire.

The alien couple at the start were the actress who played Jefferson's wife Lynn on "Black Lightning" and Tom Holland's brother.

That space flute and space sax were not played in this episode is a crime.

Great episode for me this brought up 2 things. 1. Dave Favreau has been writing a lot of episodes and this was a long game about how to get the saber back to Bo-Katan that the fit the “rules” 2. We got to see something of droid sentience. It’s implied that most droids are very limited and wipes are performed on a regular basis. The longer they are active the more personality they gain. They don't want to have a robot revolution they just want to be useful.

This episode was a FEVER DREAM. As such, I'd say it defies categories like "good" and "bad." It simply IS.

There also is an episode of Rebels where it's not specifically about their rights, but battledroids who don't realize The Clone Wars are over have their opinions and views featured.
