@@Ayakwooo The tribe is not called Mali! It’s called Manding or Mandinka! Even at the time of Kunta Kinte the Mali Empire had left the region. Kunta Kinte lived in a small kingdom called Niumi which was one of the fractured states of the former Mali empire.

@@xxwiki7510 Your right! There was no Gambia (Country) at the time, neither was there Mali. Kunta Kinte was from Jufureh, which at the time was located in the small Kingdom of Niumi. But my point is that in the modern era Kunta Kinte’s village Jufureh is located in The Gambia 🇬🇲 ; not Mali 🇲🇱

@@killavision4068that’s the mistake many do by saying Mali empire. There was no Mali empire. This is western people who can with this appellation. It was “mandingue empire” people of mandingue, which include a lot country today and ethnic groups.
