The Marcus King Band MELTED MY BRAIN last night in Vancouver B.C. at the Fabulous Commodore Ballroom!!!!! Found him by accident 10 days ago!! Bought all of his CD's and then thought, what are the chances he is playing around here soon????? Looked him up and BAMN!! he was playing his first show ever in Vancouver in 10 Days so I bought tickets.... I cannot even begin to describe what I witnessed last night!! I have seen hundreds of shows and this was something incredibly different....... It was like watching a Super Nova being born!!!! Every single member of the Band is mind blowing and Marcus is on a plain all his own!!! If you have a chance to see these guys you will be blown away!!! Huge thanks to Marcus and the boyz for last night!!!! Superstars each and everyone of you guys!!!!!

Un-fu*king-believable playing. This kid is already one of the greatest improvisational soloists in history and he's still incredibly young. Just... wow.

I've been listening to his interviews during the day and his music at night when I sleep ( it's a high place in my daily rotation), you're becoming one of my all-time favorite artists (you already have anything made in our lifetime beat (I'm 22, I will say though, in a sense some of the "emo" rap was raw and real just like a good blues/soul track, just a different flavor of music.) Anyway: I love what I hear. It's refreshing. Please keep it up and be a shining beacon for us younger people who struggle with not fitting in due to a variety of reasons. Keep being real

Greetings, I only very recently discovered Marcus and his band, 4 short days ago, and ever since, I have immersed myself, listening to as much as I can, both live, solo and in studio. Beside the blatantly obvious brilliance of his abilities, both instrumentally and vocally, I daresay, he has the very best support in his rythm section, without which he would not have that solid, forceful driving in his songs. This I believe, this *freight-train-driving* is one of the most important aspects that give him and the band their edge. Their improvisation is IN THE POCKET all the way !! They are tight because they trust each other and this confidence in his band is almost palpable . I so look forward to to the time I will see them live. I am proud to call myself a FAN !! Just discovered them on KPFA radio show in Berkeley, CA. Markus King band is the real deal. Brilliant kick ass band. Every band member shines beyond the celestial musical stars! Killer guitar playing, raw analog guitar tone and vocals. Love it!!! About time a new killer band comes into the the scene. My new favorite band discovered this year. Thanks KPFA 94.1!

My dad raised me on Marshall Tucker. I took him to this show and seeing his face when they broke out "Take the Highway" is a memory I'll never forget. This band has come a long way since taking the stage at Quest Brewery on Thursday nights, but has always sounded great!

That's Bold, tackling Steely Dan music., Marcus King. With a voice that is controlled and seasoned with Southern vibes. Love the brass and guitar. Some very good tunes comeout of South Carolina.

I was listening to a blues radio channel and this band is playing. I thought it was Ray LaMontagne playing the blues. Great music! Will certainly catch the Marcus King Band when they play the Louisville Mercury Ballroom Nov 16th. Can't wait.

Still can't believe I just recently found "The Marcus King Band", and I became a fan instantly. Where the hell have I been? To almost have missed out on this young lads talent and his journey, would have been a big loss on my part. A great band already, but wow....I'd say bigger and better is definitely on their horizons. @ 12:36 it shows Marcus King slowly coming over to the dark side:) Just 2 yrs ago on Premier Guitar's Rig Run Down- it was just his guitar into his amp with a tube screamer in between, now he looks like he's got a pretty sweet pedal board set up. You could put a broom in that guy's hand and he could make it sound good.

Well I certainly agree with ALL the comment. My take on Marcus is it is like Janis Joplin with a guitar. Fantastic real vocals and the sweetest guitar tones backed by a very very talented and special band. Tight as you can get and still so improvisational! Keep on Rockin' Bros!
