mhichil creed I didn't debate any of this, I'm sorry to say you appear to have replied to the wrong comment mate. plus I would hate to see the other guys spellling :)
You didn't present evidence against it! While its true that Super Mario Bros. 3 is a play, I like to think of it as a play reinactment. This goes for some other Mario games like Paper Mario which even alude to the fact that the sotry was recreated as a play post the adventure. Who ever said Mario and Luigi were at each others throats? Why can't brothers have a fun time having a friendly competition? Bowser was on your side in Mario RPG because it castle got hijacked by the backguy, it was explained in context. They are all just friends more or less. Bowser just wants power and a Peach but hes not that bad of a guy. And Miyamoto said he feels the same way about them, not you nailed it on the head! And he feels them like a family because that's what they really are.
This week, Emily takes a look at the super world of Mario to see whether him and all his friends are all just pretending and secretly acting in a play! Check out the latest Cartoon Conspiracy! frdr.us/1zVCgLY
I had an idea for cartoon conspiracy, in pokemon ash is always 10 years old and he should be 15 now so I think you should do a conspiracy about that if you find this comment please reply if you make a video on this please leave a link to the video
A theory that's confirmed by the creator himself and the guy who the subject is aimed at... get's 4.5/5? Seriously what are the requirements for a 5/5? You can't get more accurate than that!
Slip'n Slime The creator confirmed it in the video. It wasn't a hint, he even said that the characters are actors which is why the games they can be allies or enemies! It's not a hint, a hint is saying something without any positive or negative assumption; keeping neutral. This is all positive to the theory AND even explains the games series as a whole! It also explains why wario looked different when he joined; he was a new actor getting used to the series. It IS literally confirmed; how much more confirmed do you need it to be? A big sign that says " he is right?".
He said they were like actors, not that the whole game was an act. For the theory to be 5 stars he would literally have to say "the whole Super Mario Bros serious is a staged act played by Mario"
Slip'n Slime "they are Like Actors" because they have become more than just actors to the kids these days, they are role models, heros, persona's. Nothing is 100% in this world and if it starts out to be, it can easily change. What you're asking for 5/5 is the impossible; something that's 100% for a theory. A theory which it's prime definition is a "possible" idea or answer. No theory is 100% and if what you asking for is true, why even have 5/5 as an option? Why not make it 4/4 instead?
The creator said he views them like actors for the sake of being able to put them into a lot of different roles and situations without a set story/timeline. He didn't say that they actually are actors and that all of the games actually are plays. There is a small difference between saying how you write for characters and saying exactly who the characters are.
Well, as for Super Mario RPG that's not a proper argument, because in all the RPG's Bowser only teams up with Mario for personal gain or to defeat a bigger enemy, but almost always starts off as an antagonist. The better argument is "Go Karting with Bowser."
emilythebrave Yeah i've seen to much reffrences to his channel in the comment sectiojn in any vid basically i mean the "And that's a theory, A game theory!"
or maybe the Mario universe is just full of Quirky characters? or maybe just because Mario 3 was most likely a stage play, doesn't mean the WHOLE ENTIRE UNIVERSE AFTER IT IS JUST MANY STAGE PLAYS! come on now, this theory is just taking one theory and going crazy with it!. im not saying this theory isn't plausible, but im saying that there is a limit to it, and just saying all the games are different stage plays is just silly.
oh, and with the whole Bowser thing, Bowser only works with mario when there is a bigger threat and he is doing it for his own cause, if said bigger threat wasn't there he wouldn't work with mario, "games like Mario RPG and Paper Mario" and for the Karting series and many other sport games, again he isn't working with mario or along side him, he is just tolerating him, he does these sport events to Beat mario 'in a different way' .
Please stick to Cartoon Conspiracies of cartoons and animated shows. Stepping to far into MatPat's territory. I like Game Theory but there is such a thing as too much Game Theory.
I've always been wondering about Bowser's change of attitude every game, and I think you explained it pretty well. Now, I'm a die-hard supportive Sonic fan, and I've been watching the cartoon series Sonic Boom, and I'm not saying this would be a conspiracy, but for a few reasons, I can't help but ask myself this question. Is the universe of Sonic Boom different from the universe of the rest of the Sonic series? I know you've been asking if many other cartoons are part of the same universe, but if you're looking to do something "different," I think this would be something for you to explore. Some reasons why I ask myself this include the color of Sonic's arms, the omitting of several well-known characters such as Rouge and Cream, Knuckles' build, and noticeable altering of personalities. Ultimately, it doesn't matter how I view the Sonic series, but I was curious, and I thought you'd be the perfect person to ask.
Mario didn't make a play about his adventures out of sadness - he did it because after the events of the first game (in which he really did save Princess Toadstool) he became a national hero and was rocketed to stardom. Mario Kart/Golf/Strikers etc. are also brand tie-ins looking to capitalise on his fame.
This would happen to be the situation of most golden era cartoons. Here's some insight. -Mickey Mouse. This same thing applies to Mickey Mouse. In one cartoon he might be a firefighter, in other a ghost hunter, a clock cleaner, a magician. He lives in different ages in history, like medieval age, the nifty 1890s, the 1940s. And the different cartoons almost never have any continuity with any other previous cartoon. -Other Classic cartoons. And something similar happens with Looney Tunes, the Pink Panther, Huckleberry Hound, Woody Woodpecker, Tom and Jerry, and other classic cartoons. That might also be why Mario feels like a classic cartoon. -Same character, different contexts. The point in cartoons is playing with how a certain personality would react to things in different situations, professions, and being coupled with certain other personalities, and have fun seeing the results. It's like when you watch a movie and you start thinking "How would I react or act if I were in that situation". Sometimes you ask yourself the same question but instead of you, put a different person you know would give an interesting outcome. -Familiarity Also, familiarity is a big factor here. Jack and the Beanstalk is not the same with a character you see only once, than with a character you are already familiar with, like Mickey, Donald and Goofy. You've seen them previously, know their personalities and grew to love them. Mickey's been around from the very first "Walt Disney Studios" cartoon "SteamBoat Wille", which was successful. -Experimentation. Mario as well happens to have been around from the very first Nintendo arcade game "Donkey Kong", which was successful. Super Mario Bros itself wasn't supposed to star Mario at the beginning. They replaced the protagonist with a character that was familiar to the audience from a previous hit, and probably that helped a lot. Super Mario Kart wasn't going to star Mario either. The creators tried adding him and it felt better. Different gameplay to established games but assosiation to characters and items(question blocks, pipes, coins, etc) that were already familiar to the public. New experience with an old friend. -Lack of Continuity. The point of it(for both classic cartoons and Mario games) is to pick any game or cartoon and enoy it without the need of knowing the other games or cartoons in any specific order. You don't need to bother putting all the pieces together.
Because it's a camera following his perspective exactly, and it has him going on a journey. Also, in the end credits it shows the "best moments" like in a documentary.
randman "Ok mario tell us what happened" "I WAS KILLING A BUNCH OF ANIMALS WHEN ALL OF A SUDDEN, THIS FUCKING DINASOUR THING STEALS THE PRINCESS! IT'S BULLSHIT I TELL YOU! BULLSHIT!"
So? What if Shigyru Myamoto said there like actors? He's just expressing what he thinks about the characters. That doesn't mean there actually actors. And notice how he said LIKE a group of actors. Also, why would someone want to make a game about something that never really happened? Who cares if Mario and Luigi are at their throats in Mario kart and Mario party, and still be friends in other games. What? Does every relationship with someone have to be perfect without a little competition? And what if browser is a good guy in some games? Who cares if a fucking curtain opens and freaking blocks screwed to a background? It's a fucking made up video game!!!! Does everything have to make sense to you all? It's just like saying ER MAHGERD SPONGEBERB CAN TALK SO HE MUST BE A MUTANT!!!!!!! All just lies and speculation. Five Nights At Freddy's actually gives you hints in the game to try and piece together the story. But this theory is just pure bullshit. It's a video game. Anything can happen!!!! Has anyone ever heard of a creative imagination??
.....*Face palm* BTW, Mario isn't a cartoon character, he is a video game character. Just because he got a show after him or a movie doesn't mean shit.
Here's something I wanna say to Game Theorists around the World! Your theories are lies, and I know it. I've been close to Nintendo for 15 years and I know everything about Mario, Zelda, F-Zero, Star Fox, & Super Smash Bros. In case you want to hear me, here's my Nintendo Network ID: MarioMVP. I'll be waiting for you all on Miiverse.
I know this video is really old but what about Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door, the battle scenes are literally on a stage and have an audience and Mario and his partner can 'appeal' to the crowd
My guess would be that the Bowser in every game after the first "Super Mario Bros" is a different character. The same would apply to all the goombas and Koopa Troopas. They were a menace in the first game, but represented by actors in the subsequent games.
Can Elsa be related to Joan of Arc? In do you wan't to build a snowman, they say "hang in there John" when they mean Joan. And her ice powers come from Joan being burned at the stake, fire, ice, etc.
no i dont believe this no dont ruin mario for me your gonna destroy my entire childhood its based around nintendo as a 5 year old i'd play on the Wii the first original version
Anime Ray listen, I know you're joking but that's not funny. Right at this very moment my friends and I are trying to save our friend from suicide. It's all fun and games to joke about but the more you joke about it, the more it's accepted as the cultural norm. So please don't make jokes.
What? I never posted anything like this. I know full well the effects of suicide. My father and uncle took their lives. I'm not sure why this has come up but it was not me!
there is a video game theory i'd like your thoughts on there is one that states all video games take place on the same timeline and possibly even the same universe
Just watched this on my New 3DS and looked it up on youtube. Why would Nintendo have this video on their video service if this is false? IT'S CONFIRMED GUYS!!!!
I just chalk it all up to Bowser being a weird character who can't decide, through all his goofiness, how evil he really wants to be. Also, he probably only shows up in the sports games because he figures that, if he can't kidnap Peach, at least this'll give him a chance to one-up Mario in some other sort of competition where he may have an edge. As for the Mario and Luigi thing, anybody who thinks that they can't be arch enemies in a competition, then friends when facing a common enemy, never had siblings.
the camra crew thing can be explained in mario 64 ds the dude with the camra wakes up yoshi with the camra and says that mario is missing. have u ever seen in any movie or tv show the camra guy reacts with the people so it more than likely is a live thing where people noticed mario is saving people so if they caught it on camra people would find it interesting and the mario cart camra crew is well um sort of the same thing
You know, or, maybe Nintendo just wanted to make games but didn't want to spend 50 hours making new characters. Maybe all of these game theory don't exist and the game programmers just made a game normally.
If you seen wreck it Ralph you will know that villains and good guys mostly get along after the game is shutdown or over so that's a good reason for Mario to invite Bowser over to play tennis and golf
If I remember correctly, the Lakitu with a camera in Super Mario 64 was actually a journalist capturing footage of Mario going to rescue the Princess for the Lakitu news network or something.
i don't believe in these theory's i kinda hate when people say it's all a play the only game that would prove this super mario 3 and super mario 2 so other then you don't have any thing els ageist me or this theory i don't care if i'm wrong but old enough to except when i'm just so ya know i'm 13
Miyamoto already confirmed that all the Mario characters are just actors that fit the role of whatever game they play. That's how bowser is the bad guy in one game and his doubles partner in tennis in another
I have no idea what you name is but one thing I do know is just leave the game theories to well the game theorist's in fact do you know him I think you could be good friends
Give me a second... I think I got it. Perhaps they're playing against each other in these games for the fate of... something, I don't know. Or maybe those games are role play? Still, Bowser still seems to be against the plumbers and the Mushroom Kingdom in those spin-offs. CORDYCEPS! ONE WORD: CORDYCEPS (see Game Theory).
Someone told me his theory years ago for Mario, and it's so crazy that I love it. Not saying it's true, but still fun. Donkey Kong: Simple. Mario rescuing his woman. Donkey Kong Jr: The Apes revolt, and DK Jr is going after Mario to rescue DK. Sometime before, or during these two events, Super Mario Bros 2 (Super Mario USA) takes place. After this, Mario is sent into a coma. All of his adventures at this point are all in his head, and the characters within are either based off of people he knows, or figments of his subconscious. We know about "subcon" because of the events of Mario 2. So what happens in the real world with the Kongs? Donkey Kong 3 takes place with a teenage DK Jr being attacks by Stanley. After this, flash forward to the Donkey Kong Country games. In another part of the world Wario is creating the Wario Ware titles.
This does make sense, this I agree with as a Nintendo fan. But then I am reminded of a theory that is growing in major popularity even though it, not only destroyed MANY childhoods, but also makes Nintendo's most popular character look like a total psycopath. Yes, I am talking about the "Mario is Mental" theories. In the theory, there is a lot of rather controversial things brought up, stuff Nintendo doesn't even TRY to hide, and it makes me think the 'play' is being taken WAY too seriously.
"Why would Mario and Luigi be at each other's throats in Mario Kart, only to be partners in crime in other games?" Because Mario Kart is not canon. Neither are Mario Tennis, Mario Baseball, nor any of the other sports games. As much as I love Mario Kart, and love it I do, it is not canon. Realizing that makes a lot of arguments for this theory unravel. Furthermore, Shigeru Miamoto's quote is about video games in general, not just Mario games. He says that character graphics are automated "actors," and the screen is the "stage," regardless of what happens within the Universe that is depicted in the game.
O.o HOLY CRAP!!! I never thought of it that way. But now that I think about it, a LOT of the Mario games have a stage and curtains in their opening scenes. i. e. Paper Mario, SMB3, Every Mario Party, etc.
this theory should be 5/5 remember when you did the whinie the poo theory, the only reason you didn't give it a 5/5 is because the actual creator couldn't say yes here you have just as tight knit a theory as that one and here you have the creator saying straight up YES and this still doesn't get a 5/5 i got to say bad call BAD FUCKING CALL ps. you never debunked it your "how it holds up" section was you saying i don't think its true this is a 5/5 and you and everyone knows it.
Left... Mario Exits Stage Left in SMB3 -.- Stage directions are given as if you're facing the audience (the gamer). The actors left (audiences right). Now I shall resume the video.
