I love movies like this because it shows us also how vast and diverse the earth is. Like it looks like Mars terrain and with a little bit of editing like the background and sky it truly seems like Mars! Earth is so cool and there are locations that look alien!
Well in Private Ryan they were tasked to bring him home not necessarily save him. In the Martian he saved himself and logged it, they again just really brought him home. In Good Will hunting he ended up saving they guy that was sent to help him. In Rounders he saved his buddy and himself from the Russian mob.
Ohh you would be dead as soon as it creates a hole in the suit you’re fucked space will suck the air out of you I don’t think mars has a atmosphere so you’re basically in space but idk
@@nedenburayabaktn2981 He had to sacrifice his dignity for survival. He didn't like the idea of rationing the ration he had already rationed, but he did it anyways because they told him it would stretch it to 4 more days.
One thing about this movie is that Watney walks like its Earth. Mars' gravity is only a 3rd of Earth so he'd be skipping along much, much faster. In this scene, he is injured so we put that aside, but he does that the entire movie. It's actually harder trying to force a "normal" walk on a low grav planet rather than just take advantage of it by 'bouncing' along, He'd expend less energy (calories) _and_ go a lot faster too.
They explained that in another video, the suit ways enough and Mars has enough gravity that normal movement is possible. Its when hes in the hab that he should bounce around at least that was their thinking for the movie.
@@nedenburayabaktn2981 not really he would suffocate before dying of blood loss. the blood clotting around the hole in the suit is the only reason he still had air his movement back to the hab broke that seal so he was losing air quickly. He had to reseal the hole quickly or he would die of air loss so he had to remove the antenna first to create a proper seal.
They didn't think for another alarm that comes before oxygen critical? Like maybe "Hey man. Getting a little low. Wanna maybe top up?" Another alert for impaled would be good too.
He was no doubt unconscious for said prior oxygen level warnings, it's just that the critical warning was probably the loudest and most urgent out of all, say five or more of them. The antenna puncturing his suit being another likely factor to how quickly the final alert came up. In an ironic way, the fact he was knocked out was both what kept him alive and what brought him dangerously close to dying, because humans tend to breathe a lot more slowly while asleep, though if it weren't for that last alert, he would've suffocated to death without ever waking up. Love the little details in this movie.
@@Sir_TigerShark Nobody is required to read a book to judge a movie scene. What can reasonably be discerned by the viewer in the scene is what matters.
if you watch the movie .you will see two people on mars .at the one hr mark , you see him in the potato pit and to the right of him behind plastic you can see someone there and they realize there on camera .not kidding .look for yourself.
