Iman Vellani needs her own movie. With a good story and good writing she’d become a massive star overnight . She’s got the it factor

this film got so much hate, but it was incredibly fun. i physically jumped out of my seat in excited in the cinema when i saw beast, as he is in my top 5 favourite x-men

I’m so happy to see that a lot of people loved The Marvels as much as I did. And after the ending of the movie, I was so excited for what comes next. I’ve been waiting for a Young Avengers, maybe with another name, project for so long. I think the timeline placement you put it in makes a lot of sense. It’s a bummer that we won’t get another timeline book for a long time, but I’m so happy that you are here to warm its place.

Kamala recreating the scene from Iron Man was so epic to me. Kinda shocked there was no reaction to this in my theater LOL

One of my favourite things about the film was that the main characters always took whatever situation they were in seriously - it proved you could have a funny/silly Marvel movie without having the characters acting stupid to manufacture silliness (like Thor riding Stormbreaker like a broom, or Drax and Nebula turning lying on a couch or opening a door into a painful 2 minute skit)

So Carol is basically a Disney Princess now right lol? This movie was a lot of fun, with Kamala/ Ms. Marvel being the highlight. Her pulling a Nick Fury on Kate at the end was hilarious, and I swear her wearing the baseball cap is a riff on how Kevin Feige is always wearing a baseball cap.

After watching the movie, I couldn’t help but feel like it would have been largely improved with one small change… replace Dar Benn with Yonn Rogg. Very little would need to be changed with the overall script and it would immediately give the villain more history. Also, bringing back Jude Law would’ve been a great move.

The Marvels was a lot of fun, all three of the women had great characterization and performances, and who can complain about musical numbers and cats? Definitely recomend it.

I watched The Marvels yesterday and had a blast. I described it to my friends as "Marvel Studios presents Grease: The Musical" in that the characters and their relationships to each other is more interesting and entertaining than the plot of the film itself. This was Brie Larson's best performance as Captain Marvel and finally made we feel like I understood the character of Carol Danvers rather than Vers. All three heroes are treated as competent and effective which is really important for a shared universe, because what Marvel does not want is to say one character or merch is cooler than the other, they want all of them to make money and have fanbases. I hope this film does well on Disney+

Here’s my two cents: - This movie was not terrible I feel like most people need to chill especially that manosphere echo chamber. - Was it the greatest of all time? Absolutely not, but was it at least decent and enjoyable? I say to some extent I honestly thought it was boring in the second half of the movie - The best thing about the movie I like was the chemistry between the three titular headlining stars I think it made for an enjoyable experience and dynamic. - Another thing about this movie that I can say I never seen before has to definitely the teleportation fighting effect. I believe they show that off really well and hope we can see more of it in the future

I overall liked the film, curious to know how far this takes place since Secret Invasion with Fury being comic relief

I honestly don’t understand the amount of hate this movie got, i thought i would hate it but i really enjoyed, such a solid film

Loved this film and the post-credit scene put such a huge smile on my face. I kind of knew what was going to happen because It was spoiled on a different YT channel...but I had no clue that character was going to be in it, which BTW is my favorite character in the comics... and they were played by the OG, felt so good to see it.

I absolutely loved this movie, connects so many loose threads (ms marvel, wandavision and even hawkeye), phase 5 has not had a single bad one yet (maybe antman but i still enjoyed it)

Really love these breakdowns and the commitment you have to the timeline. Marvel needs to hire people like you and the wiki-crew to do their timeline 100 percent. I am glad they added the “peace talks” line to the finale of secret invasion to at least acknowledge this movie. And I jumped out of my seat when Kate bishop and beast appeared on screen

Had a good time with this movie! Little things that are lingering on me- would had liked the training montage to be longer and develop the team's chemistry and build comparable skill set- especially for Kamala. I am happy there wasn't some weird tie in from Gia since technically she has Cpt. Marvel's light powers from the harvest as well... bullet dodged!

Just left the theater after watching The Marvels - my dad and I loved it! It was so entertaining and Kamala and her family were our favorite part. They were so funny! The hate is so overwhelming and we simply don't see what was so bad about the film. Loved it and can't wait to see the X-Men again 😤🔥

Man, being member for the best MCU youtuber out there is a no brainer! Easily one of the best channels on the site. I really really love for the marvels, definitely better than the first in my book. Iman really deserves a season 2/movie after she's done with Young Avengers, shes easily the best addition the the MCU since Boseman. Kind of funny how little this and secret invasion connected - I really thought they woudve been more intertwined!(not that I really care, secret invasion really wasn't a favorite of mine!)

Loved it man! Thank you. You must be busy with the way everything came out. I liked the movie, my wife loved it. So far reports from others are that they liked it. Didn’t love it. Plenty of spots to poke holes but definitely not fair that some channels are just destroying this movie. Not necessary. Definitely an enjoyable movie. Overall I wish they gave us another 20 to 25 minutes to better develop some of the story lines. A little slower with some scenes would’ve also been easier to follow

Dar-Benn was actually willing to relocate the Skrulls before stealing their atmosphere. She wasn't planning on killing them until Carol showed up and she thought they were working with the Annihilator. That's when she decided to go ahead and kill them instead of relocating them first. I thought it was interesting that they called the bangles Quantum Bands, seemingly doubling-down on the idea that Kamala's time travel was quantum time travel. I don't think it makes sense to call this an incursion. We're told that an incursion is when the boundaries between two universes erode, and they collide with one another and one or both are wiped out. That's not what we see here. The two universes exist next to one another, but there is no collision. The walls of the universes aren't eroding; a hole was just punched into the wall of the universe, and then that wall was restored. Neither universe collides with the other, and neither universe is destroyed. So it doesn't meet any of the definitions of an incursion. There's also Dar-Benn who says 1995 was 30 years ago which also points to a 2025 placement, but of course with big numbers like that it's easier to say it's a rounding error. Personally I prefer keeping all of the projects in 2025, but I realize the issue that raises with Guardians. However, there's nothing in Guardians or the Holiday Special that would prevent us from placing them earlier. The only reason we place Guardians Holiday Special in 2025 is because 2024 already got a holiday special in Hawkeye. But it's possible that Hawkeye and Guardians Holiday Special both take place in 2024 and then we don't need Secret Invasion to be all the way out in 2026. Then everything would fit perfectly... except debatably the reference to Cassie since it wouldn't make much sense for Kamala to be considering her for the team unless Quantumania has already happened, and if we move Quantumania back to 2025 then Cassie's age potentially becomes a problem (unless she wasn't 10 during Ant-Man and the Wasp or we place Ant-Man and the Wasp in 2017 instead of 2018).

Your breakdowns are so good, again I admire the respect u bring to these works! They're goofy, they're sometimes genuinely crappy (am i the only one who noticed Carol doesn't have floaty space hair anymore? how could they forget to put that in?) but they're still works of art! Also love that you point out all the bi/homo subtext they gave Carol. Not as much as in her first movie but less subtle than that, too!!

I wish that first act was just 25 minutes longer

I just saw this movie this saturday. I had no expectations because of the bad press. Actually I was pretty surprised how good it was. I don't give scores but I would say 8/10 if not better easily. Ms Marvel made me laugh everytime I saw her. So good.

Fabulous film. Deserves much more love than it’s getting. WRT to the timeline, I don’t think this is December 2026, but much more likely November 2026 immediately after Secret Invasion. My only evidence that the month is November is that there’s no cold weather clothing at all in the movie. Anyone that’s ever been to New York & New Jersey in December knows that it’s hella cold (even with climate change/global warming). Her father spends the whole movie is a sleeveless sweater for pete’s sake!!! It’s definitely NOT December 2026.

I really enjoyed the Marvels aswell! I love the dynamic between the 3 of them and Iman Vellani is one of the best castings in the mcu. The villain wasnt great but i had a fun time!

I really liked The Marvels! Way more than I expected! It seems like most people who have seen it also liked it a lot, while others just flat-out refuse to see it. I agree with your comparison to Elemental (which I still haven't gotten around to watching, even though I've put it in my watchlist), that hopefully it's another movie that will at least gain popularity on Disney+ after people continue to talk about it. Great points about the timeline placement! I couldn't remember how old Kate Bishop was in Hawkeye, so it's pretty cool the movie fits right into December 2026 because of her age. I totally didn't notice that alternate (X-Men) Maria was wearing two bangles! This makes me even more excited about how the X-Men will get pulled into the MCU from that universe, and how the Kangs will get involved, especially if the bangles are Kang-tech as you suggested... and if the Ten Rings will also be connected, etc. Carol said she hadn't seen anything like the Ten Rings when she analyzed them, but now that she's seen the bangles, I wonder if she'd find any similarities. One last thing: Flerkens obviously live way longer than cats! Goose has to be AT LEAST 37 years old! (We saw him in a 1989 flashback in Captain Marvel, and we now know from The Marvels that he wasn't blipped.)

I had a great time at the Marvels which makes me question how much people let their own opinions get in the way of just enjoying a movie. It’s not perfect but it was a joy to watch. I do think the age of Ms. Marvel is a bit odd but I just assumed she’d been working on all those drawings for a while. Love the content and that you reply to so many comments.

I'm totally in Pre-Secret Invasion placement tho. I think is just a couple of months after MsMarvel, even Samuel L Jackson said otherwise. We'll see when they realease The Marvels in Disney+ I guess Great video as always✨

A good detail is that I think the black dude that informs Fury of the eggs is Asgardian or from other of the 7 realms (besides Midgard/earth) he swears saying "Svardelheim" and says to Kamala's dad he is 500 or 300 years old iirc

Rather than the Skrulls being kicked off of SABER, I'm headcannoning that some Skrulls left to settle down due to the peace talks, and the rest are blending in on the station as more humans and other aliens join to fill the void left by old Skrulls leaving. There's no evidence for this at all but I just like it

It’s one of Marvel’s best 2nd sequels and definitely one of thier most entertaining 😆 it’s kinda crazy how much negativity is actually about its box office and internet hate, then the actual film.

I don't love it being December but it is the only possible way like you said. But,I think it could work as this could further fulfill the need for the council of Kangs to act now,after the possible incursion. Granted that's if they want to continue that storyline

I honestly had so much fun. It was a fun movie, and so rewatchable. I would put it at the same level i put age of ultron, in the sense that i don't think they're perfect movies but they're freaking fun and so rewatchable. It honestly was good.

What i understood about the Quantum Bands/Bangles is that both working together allow these time/space jump points to extend to other universes. If it's Kang tech, it would make sense why he would want the ability to travel across time and space within one universe (using one band) and the multiverse (using both). I really enjoyed the movie and there wasn't inherently anything wrong with it. And even though i also enjoyed that it was a quick, straight-to-the-point action flick, i can't help but feel like it could have used more. 7 extra minutes dedicated to seeing Hala's strife (thereby further solidifying Dar-Benn's motives), Carol actually attempting to help Hala after knowingly causing it such destruction, something like her attempting to jumpstart their sun but failing, and finally, having Dar-Benn USE both bands to fight the Marvels before trying to open the portal, giving Carol a chance to use her full strength and go full Binary to push Dar-Benn out before she opens the portal. And the musical planet was fine but I would've liked it a lot more if they went one step further and made the singing alien-like, not straight out of a Disney movie. It would have elevated the weirdness of the movie. Overall, still very enjoyable.

First off, shocked at membership addition. My first guess would be November 2026 because I don't get a December/Christmas impression from when we're on Earth. I actually forgot we've heard nothing regarding SWORD. As far as the staff, we know at least one isn't Human given the guy's age. I don't however think the Bangles are Kang tech but they are called Quantum Bands. I also won't drop that Kree sleeper cells line either! Will say I loved seeing Monica's powers in action properly and of course Iman is just so good. But even Brie stood out in this movie for me. Speaking of the Skrulls ... oh boy. Wonder how the world's militaries will react to New Asgard having Skrulls. And yeah the team line was in the movie. The entire baby Flerkens eating people like some kind of horror movie was priceless. I knew I saw a black hole! Honestly I thought the Khans were moving into Monica's home but this makes more sense. There is the interesting tid bit with Maria having her universe's Quantum Bands too. The other universe is not 838 but I don't think it's the Fox universe either. I didn't consider a 97 universe. I do think this MIGHT be the universe Wolverine is from in Deadpool 3 however. Ah now I see why the 16 thing doesn't make sense. It's possible the 16 age is just referencing when she got her powers and such. But yeah hope they fix it then.

First off I really enjoyed this. Not the best by any means but I had fun with this! Seeing it again this weekend. I do have an observation. I keep my ear to the ground (i.e. I read Marvel Studios Spoilers Reddit) to keep up on rumors. When I sit down to the movie,I set everything I may have read aside and just soak in what Marvel has for me. But I do remember that the Kamala and Kate Bishop scene WAS rumored to be one of the post credits which tells me that they moved it to the end of the film instead. Why does that matter? Because if that scene is a post credits, it doesn't have to be happening in the same time frame as the rest of the movie. Therefore Kate can be 23 IN THE POST CREDITS. It might have been months later that Kamala went to her. And it may be irrelevant because them moving it to pre-credits might send a message that the Studio intends it to happen almost immediately. I'm just raising the possibility. Love the breakdown regardless! Another thing I noticed, it's really subtle but when Kamala sees all the information SABER has on her, her family wants to know "Is she under surveillance?" Fury says "Surveillance is a strong word." This confirms something I suspected for some time. Fury controls Damage Control. It's part of SABER. I don't know why they felt the need to create SABER to do the same thing that SWORD does...unless SWORD is more directly under the control of the U.S. government while SABER maybe is run internationally (just a thought!). Lastly taking Droge's Refugee Skrulls to New Asgard makes perfect sense. Love And Thunder showed us lots of non-Asgardians live there so it's like a sanctuary city and it probably has diplomatic immunity so Ritson can't threaten them! Keep up the good work!

Throughly enjoyed the movie and your breakdown obviously, it’s everything I wanted ! The visuals were out of this world! Placement wise, I really think this is before Secret Invasion, I don’t think Captain Marvel would put Valkyrie in a situation with the all off world entities that are “enemy combatants”, and its directly after Kamala Khan. You definitely made some points that make it fit after Secret Invasion. Can’t wait to find out in 3-4 months

Kind of confused as to why Jimmy Woo's page on the MCU wiki has no mention of him appearing in the movie? Did something happen recently where Randall Park said he wouldn't be appearing in the movie?

I still think that Echo Season 1 takes place during March 2027, so that means it takes place after The Marvels, which had Kate Bishop who showed up during the post-credits scene to meet Ms. Marvel!

I’m annoyed with the folks saying “what does this have to do with Thanos?” Like BRO Thanos was Carols last big enemy . Thanos also sent Ronan after the infinity stone which lead to his demise and left the Universal Weapon open for the taking or it was reconstructed . Darben also believed she was being noble for the sake of her people . She didn’t desire power . She was already the leader of her people and wielded a powerful weapon . Also in the Krees eyes Carol was the Villian . This does make Darben more compelling and similar to Thanos. Where Thanos wanted to preserve resources Darben wanted to replenish Hala’s resources . Like why are these nuances and writing techniques so hard for people to grasp . Yes some of the stuff was rushed but there was a clear direction and a clear effort to make this digestible for the general audience with Easter eggs and referenced and events to please hardcore fans and folks eager for the multiverse narrative to move forward .

Hey . I found a HUGE EASTER EGG no one is talking about upon a second viewing . The black assistant to Nick Fury on Saber, He’s from the Shi Ar Empire. When he discovered Goose’s egg he proclaims “SWEET VOLTAR” . He also mentioned he is over 300 years old . Man this movie is actually FIRE and I know it will age well . The Shi Ar Easter eggs connect the McU to the 90s X Men animated film. This movie is low key very x men and annihilation wave centric . It sets up the cosmic side of Marvel so well. I think it suffers like Quantumania in that regard where both films are actually extremely smart but because they live by the set up they lack the isolated story some people want.

Heard all the negative stuff so I went in expecting to be disappointed but I really enjoyed the movie. It was a breath of fresh air and it was fun. You can tell that this movie isn't for the fans still hung up on end game. And thanks for a positive review and breakdown.

What happened to the second bangle? When she gets off the spaceship at the end shes only wearing one.

No one is talking about when Kamala used her powers without the bangles near the end. I can’t remember for what but it’s when Dar Benn has both of them. Also did Captain Marvel end up with the second bangle in the end because I don’t think Kamala kept both (she should have), this means Captain marvel is even more OP now?

I also thought about Binary opening another hole to send Monica back to 616, but what if it's the same case as MoM where they couldn't help Strange and America because they could cause greater evil? Maybe they would realize that it is dangerous to go around causing incursions just to send a person to a different universe and they would keep Monica there to avoid doing more damage to the multiverse

my biggest problem is that it's clearly been gutted in the editing room, probably because they didn't have much faith in it so they tried to make it as short as possible. might be reaching tho.

I don't think that the post credit scene takes place in the X-Men 97 universe because we've never seen an animated universe be portrayed in live action or vice versa. In atsv Tobey and Andrew were both live action and even in MoM when strange and America go into the animated universe they turn animated

Just spitballing, what if Secret Invasion is actually in November 2025. Then The Marvels could be spring of 2026. Then the Ms Marvel timeline works, the foliage works and Kate's age works. I can't recall your 2026 reasoning off the top of my head but I feel like this would fit everything else.

I have yet to see the movie because I promised my friends that I'll see it with them this upcoming Sunday but I am incredibly hyped for it and to watch the video afterwards

I'm a bit unclear on incursion terminology and how they used it in films. Is a direct connection between universes already an incursion? (I don't think it is, necessarily. For instance Chavez opens such portals, but presumably these are not incursions and don't negatively affect connected universes - she, or the portals she creates also change her own nature to be consistent with the universe she enters). Or are incursions portals between incompatible universes that won't change the nature of passing objects? Or are incursions specifically about objects themselves of inconsistent nature within a universe they find themselves in, destabilizing it? Or is incursion already the process of destruction of destabilized universe? Depending on definition, a random portal/opening between two universes that we know little about isn't necessarily an incursion.

Easy placement for the movie as it's late 2025 after Secret Invasion and before the Guardians Holiday Special, Werewolf by Night, Guardians of the Galaxy vol 3, and Ant-Man & The Wasp: Quantumania. With Secret Invasion making it clear it's 2025 and with Ms. Marvel and Kate Bishop's ages are making it crystal clear that this is the correct placement

Primarily because it would not be a great story to have Kang effectively be the reason that Ms. marvel and her family are special. Now, perhaps he studied ancient mystical artifacts like them in order to develop his tech, which would serve your Kang connection theory

This was a absolute great movie. I loved it I took a few kids with me. The kids said this is the best Marvel movie of late. My issue with Marvel is this constantly shifting of direction. Roumers of them going away from Kang to Doom. I can't keep up with investing my time and money and it's all for nothing.

Wasn't The Marvels originally supposed to come out before Secret Invasion before it was delayed? It wouldn't surprise me if it originally took place beforehand and they had to reshoot parts to retroactively fit it after.
