Watching with this movie first didn't really spoil the larger story being told. However, I do recommend starting the series of Marvel Movies at the begining and in release order. If you enjoyed this one, most of the others may seem like masterpieces.

Worst Marvel movie to start with! You start with Iron Man, and see them in order of release, period.

Omg i LOVE THE MARVELS! It’s like a comic book coming to life! The camera work, colors and the action! Omf Brie ❤ she delivered the best Captain Marvel ever - obviously Carol now is for the first time ever - on her own skin! Such a development omg! Her invulnerable hero side and her vulnerable humanity. She started jaded and tired with all the pressure on her shoulders, alone.. and ends up loving being part of a team! We saw more layers to Carol’s personality. She couldn’t act on her max power, always holding back, so they wouldn’t randomly switch. Plus the fact that the bangle Dar-Benn wore weakened her. That made they think about real Great team ups! Awesome. Oh Kamala oh boy!!!!! She’s a delight! Monica so cool! Everything here is amazing. Their chemistry is out of this world! Goose and the Flerkittens! ❤ The flaws are normal, nothing we haven’t seen in the MCU before. Love it so much! So good to see my fave Captain Marvel back ❤

Love this film! Very much like the first era of the MCU. Phase 1… 2. Great pick! It has some of the BEST action sequences in the franchise

There is only one way to watch the MCU….from the beginning, in RELEASE ORDER. Starting here makes zero sense.

No heels, no cleavage, no constant ass-cams like they did with Black Widow, no bare skin, and no idiotic slow-motion hair choreography. This movie was such a breath of fresh air.

lol that black sheep thought bubble was hilarious bruh. lol i fell off of marvel hard. after end game and when robert downy jr left it stopped being interesting to me. like loki, wanda vision and doctor strange wasn't bad, just okay. but i heard a lot of bad stuff about captain marvel, so it made me not want to watch this movie, but this wasn't bad either. it was cool. kamala was funny. i think they refer to aliens as people because they see other races and civilizations in space as people, just not humans. that's just not in marvel but most space travel shows, like star trek, star wars, doctor who, etc... if you want to get into marvel movies i suggest watching the 1st ironman, the 1st avengers, and the spiderman movies. mainly the ones with tobey mcguire and andrew garfield. there's a big debate who's the better live action spiderman(i choose andrew), but they're all good. the only spiderman movie i like with tom holland is the last one he made, no way home. the 1st three x men movies are good, and the days of future past x men movie too. but i think you'll really like the 1st deadpool movie. it's mainly comedy and nothing serious to keep up with.

monica was captain marvel in the comics first before carol that’s one of her biggest connections to the title of the movie tbh and the ppl in these comments are some haters this movie was not bad…it had its problems (like most movies) but it’s definitely on the better side

Even with complete context, it's a fun movie. People need to stop expecting masterclass level shit for everything and sometimes just have fun with some silliness.

I love your reactions, especially when you two are on together, but why oh why did you start with THE worst Marvel film 😭 Please, please, take this advice - Start with Iron Man and finish with Endgame. 23 films over 10 years produced, arguably, the GREATEST cinematic event ever. Don't bother with anything after Endgame. Ofc, you are are free to watch what you choose, this is just my advice if you want to experience what most ppl refer to as the MCU. 🙂

Sorry that she made you watch this first as your first impression of Marvel. There are other and better Marvel movies than this. I guess making you watch this first doesn't give you the opportunity to compare and relaize how bad it actually is. Also the MCU selections of Marvel are in a specific order and by watching this first you just skipped most of them and those were the actually important ones. This movie was meaningless filler.
