I'm a male, but this movie was so bad it gave me menstrual cramps.

My favorite part was when they were herding the kittens and Nick Fury says, "I have had it with these motherflerken cats on this motherflerken space station!"

Endgame was a slap in the face, The Marvels is a kick in the groin.

She's just barely a step up from how psychotic she was in the comics. I wish rogue would have shown up and put her into a coma and become the Rogue we were always denied in the comics.

It’s about time that the Brie-Bot got her emotion chip installed. It wasn’t quite ready for prime time, but you can definitely see the emotions that it was attempting to emulate during her performance. Kind of like when I go to my third grade niece’s musical recital I can definitely tell the piece of Beethoven that they were trying to play. Can’t wait for Brie-bot 2.0 now with AI enhanced feelings playback.

By the way, I'm surprised no one just winds up calling the villain here "Dhar Mann" because that's legit all I hear whenever someone says her name 😂

As a guy with Autism and ADHD, I can confirm it feels like this would be something that would be made as a fan made project for a school presentation. Watching movies with ADHD is hard enough for me but watching this was like trying to fight a dark souls boss while blindfolded without the sound cues. R.I.P Fury Nickolas J. You will be missed.

The craziest part with Brie singing is she played Envy in Scott Pilgrim and sang pretty well

As a marvel fan who has watched every single movie and TV show something I have never experienced was an opening night on a Friday around 9 o’clock or so I went to go see this movie and there was nobody else in the theater…. I was the only one!

Not a speck of dirt, Nobody sweats. Nobody bleeds. The most evil and powerful beings in the Universe! Blowing up worlds while they're fixing their hair.

The trailer reeked of cat piss and witchcraft.

I think another remarkable aspect is how much it cost to make it.

Forgot to say thank you - it's a lot of work, but you do have insights that others don't. For instance, no other reviewer has called out the casual and supercilious racial stereotyping of Family Khan. I guess it's because... they're middle class? From Joisey? Have oh so amusing tight family values and dynamics? ESOL accents? Understand math? Ho ho ho, so funny. They make Apu seem complex and nuanced. I guess they're not a minority bc there are 1.7b of Them in south Asia. Right? This is token race placement which toes the corporate line that all people of a race are the same, therefore you can place them anywhere and do anything, and the one stands for the whole, put one black woman in spandex and she stands for all identikit black women. This is abject nonsense, but hey, Disney.

Thank you, it’s so hard to talk about this as a guy since it seems like I’m just hating on women in cinema but I just can’t stand poorly written characters. I love women in cinema, but not directors that add female leads/characters just to say “yeah look we have so many women on set!” Since it leads to poorly written characters and a non cohesive narrative. Just write the female characters with the same quality we’ve seen before in movies like hidden figures. I know that movie is based off of real events so a lot of the writing was already done but man, those women KILLED it in hidden figures. Should be a golden standard for women in cinema, those performances were just incredible. There shouldn’t be a difference as to which gender is on screen, if it’s well written it doesn’t matter

Disney should sell marvel at this point to someone who gives a shit and understands that people can’t identify as frying pans

This was actually the best review of the movie that I've seen. Kudos to you, this is my first time on the channel and I'm really impressed.

I didn't have much hope for this,but i feel like Ms Marvel was the only one trying The kid actor was the only one trying,even after given a cringey bad script while the major names barely show emotion with a Frankensteins monster plot that was put together,with dozens of plot holes and a pointless story.

The best part was when there was multiple jump points in sky and BGM played.. "there's some holes in the house 🎵🎶... there's some holes in the house" with she-hulk twerking with Megan the stallion in background. So empowering

The Marvels is a pathetic movie. The only redeemable part is Iman Velani who actually showcased excitement. Feel bad for her. She deserves better. The film has plot holes and isn’t consistent and Carol Danvers can power the sun. WTF. Comes out of nowhere and there’s no risk or consequences. Contrast that with Disney Hercules where he needs to save Meg from Hades by jumping in a well of souls that eats away at his life. But this is modern Marvel; where the writing has been bad. I can see why this movie failed box office.

Would someone PLEASE explain to me: 1. How destroying a computer causes a sun to go out? 2. Why the King of the Singing People on a planet in a completely different planet is Korean? 3. Why, with a whole fleet of space ships, the Kree don’t just move to a new planet? 4. How Capt. Marvel is simultaneously powerful enough to restart a star, but too weak to defeat Kree-girl in hand-to-hand combat?

Oh, I am glad this movie wasn't made for me. As a white middle-aged Scandinavian male, I am absolutely defaulted forbidden to see this movie. Patriarchy and all that.

This review was entertaining, significantly more than the movie I'm sure. I like you tied together the girl power themes of the movie with your own sarcastic remarks throughout. It makes the whole video flow together nicely. Can't say I've ever heard of you before but the RU-vid algorithm has spoken. I'll check a few things out and figure out if I should pitch a tent.

Till the point these kind of movies are going to be made in MCU, my money would be safe inside my pocket.

There is a difference between an explanation and an excuse. Thanos was a villain making extreme decisions for a perceived greater good. Decisions he didn't always like, but had to make. This made it easier to empathize with him and served as solid explanation for his action without trying excuse them. Thanos was at fault for his own actions and he knew it. DB blames Captain Marvel, who is at most a catalyst that started a chain of unfortunate events.

This film is the dictionary definition of mediocre. I genuinely wonder how much of this film was edited out before its release as it felt all over the place but yet nowhere at the same time. At least it wasn’t as bad as the Eternals.

The 7 people in the theater were busy looking around the theater looking confused... at in and out i saw one person talking about how this plot was taken from spaceballs lol... the girl was like, i want my 18 dollars back Edit: i thought i was the only one who noticed that captain marvel killed millions of people and she went about it with no care in the world lol
