Life And Death Row: The Mass Execution is a documentary series about the historic number of executions scheduled in Arkansas, USA, of eight men in ten days. The Governor of Arkansas, Asa Hutchinson, has scheduled eight men to be put to death within ten days of each other. The reason for the unprecedented timetable is to use up the state's supply of a lethal injection drug called midazolam before it expires.
In this episode we meet death row inmate Stacey Johnson, who is scheduled to be executed for the murder of Carol Heath - a crime that he claims he didn't commit.

I have no respect for these female correctional officers who fall in love with convicted murderers. You chose to let your guard down to someone accused of doing the unimaginable. Why would you even allow that to happen?
@who818
@who818 2 года назад
There were stats collected on women who fall in love with people in prisons. The majority of them, I think it was 80%, had been sexually assaulted themselves. They are broken and refused to fix themselves so therefore they search for a relationship they have 100% control over. That person is in a prison cell surrounded by armed guards and they can cut the relationship off whenever they feel like it. It's like a subtle cry for help but it's unacceptable

@who818 Claiming that SA victims "refuse to fix themselves" is a bit harsh, don't you think? No one with trauma in their past would willingly choose to suffer as a result of it, surely. Sometimes they can't access/afford the help they need or they are unable to find an effective treatment plan. Blaming them for failing to "fix themselves" is ignorant and unkind.

@Don Cardwell lol wot I don't get is, if that was a male C. O. Then everyone would be goin mental about him havin a relationship /marrying an inmate. I'd luv 2 know how much of there "relationship" occurred while he was an inmate in her "care", & esp if she is still a C.O. Cos obv they got 2 knit each other with her being a C. O, but I'd really like 2 know if she just got close 2 the guy, then started a "relationship" with him after. Or if it was all happening while she was stil working there. Cos if it was the other way around, if a male C.O slept with a female he'd be locked up for rape, & nvr work there again. Even if he nvr slept with her, he'd be hung out 2 dry 4 having a "relationship" with an inmate. So yea id like 2 know if she's still working for DOC, & if not how much happened wen she was. But she's most deffo deluded lol. Kinda feel sorry 4 her tbh.

LYDY LEWWI : People on death row don't seem to agree... Death row prisoners are kept pretty much isolated from every other prisoner. They could be on death row for 20 years or more, while locked in their cell 22/23 hours a day. Death row is incredibly isolating... Whereas in 'normal' Prison you might have a cell mate. If not, you'll have recreation rooms were prison can socialise, play games, go to gym, go to the outside yard. Plus, many prisoners either have prison jobs, or educational courses, or both. Prisoners can keep so what busy, while death row prisoners stay alone in their cells waiting to be executed... Here's a great book written about a young man who was sent to death row when he was 18 years old. He spent 20 years on death row until eventually been released because of lack of evidence in his case. Anotherwords, he should never have been sent to death row. The way he explains the isolation on death row is harrowing... www.amazon.co.uk/Life-After-Death-Eighteen-Years-ebook/dp/B00A25NLNQ/ref=tmm_kin_swatch_0?_encoding=UTF8&qid=&sr=

I'm from the UK. I get sick and tired of hearing about these people's rights. Apart from the "fact" that there are innocent people on death row and this leaves the only reason in which I have any objection against the death penalty, but those individuals who have taken the lives of others, some in the most despicable way and who are guilty should go to their own deaths much quicker than the current US legal system allows. Strap them in one every other day and expire them, make them face the same reality which they made their victims experience . Also it's about time they got to using a firing squad so there is no legal complications concerning these drugs which they are using. These individuals killed people, they took everything from them and they warrent nil sympathy.

It has been proven the death penalty is not a deterrent to crime. With all of the mistakes that have been made in the judicial system, this type of punishment should not be allowed. Too many have been wrongly executed. I'm not totally opposed to this method, but if there is any question of innocence we are obligated to exhaustively investigate all clues without bias.

If there is a possibility that he is innocent how can you possibly deny the retesting of the dna? I'm not saying that he is innocent, but eye witness testimony is notoriously inaccurate. How can you take a life on a maybe? Test the DNA and put it to bed.

I have always believed that a person can commit a crime that is so awful, so terrible, so despicable, that one should forfeit their life . . . Having said that, I would hate to be in a situation where I would have to decide one's fate on such maters . . . My biggest fear is that police, prosecutors and judges have a axe to grind to prove themselves instead of promoting true justice . . . My worry is that the justice system is NOT 100% accurate, if ONE person is wrongfully executed, the system in its entirety has failed miserably . . . I will say this much, I didn't then nor do I now believe a single word Stacy Jeohnson has ever spoken concerning his "Innocence" I will say it again, I do not believe a single word he says...
