There is a massive plot hole in The Town that's been overlooked. Fergie essentially sets up a heist that never happened and sent his crew on a fools errand. Follow us on Twitter: / baseballquotes1
@@chadsnyder301 This goofball "loved" someone's comment calling him a dumbass and he replied. "I know". Niga must have comed down a while ago. Tf is this video?
The craziest part is in the film after they rob Fenway they get into a massive shootout in the garage, but this robbery and the shootout was never broadcasted on the news or talked about until the film came out almost as if it never happened
Here’s the two ways to fix your plot hole: 1. Watch and just enjoy the movie for what it is. 2. It’s fucking Hollywood, it’s a movie, who gives a damn. It’s fiction!
Is it plausible that they could have had a four-game homestand against the Yankees in September? Very unlikely. I'm now convinced that the robbery never happened and the whole thing was a movie.
Exactly it’s a MOVIE!!! OxyContin was the big issue going on in Charlestown back in the early 2000’s which is what this movie is “actually somewhat based on” not robberies of banks but robberies of pharmacies…. Just a different take on what was going on back then…. And I’m not talking about 2009-2010 but the early 2000’s….
Or...due to a robbery earlier in the movie that did not happen in our timeline lead to Boston shutting down games and the mlb reworking the schedule. The florist strategically planned earlier robberies to impact yankee games this pushing multiple makeup games to the end of the season. Having a rivalry directly before playoffs would bring gin larger crowds and more money meaning there could be 4 games and a bigger pot of loot to take. He was one step ahead of you this whole time 🤯
Holy SHIT this is the most in depth tongue in cheek criticism I've ever seen! To burn this many calories pull off something so damn pedantic as a goof is impressive! Bravo
Didn't take place in a suburb, it took place in Charlestown (Boston neighborhood). He didn't want to escape Southie, again they were from Charlestown... completely different part of Boston.
Exactly!! Dude is HYPER-FOCUSED on all the baseball which wasn’t the main point of the whole movie, yet he can’t even EDIT his own vlog correctly?!!😂 Great job hahaha I think he should stick to watching baseball!!
oh....this is a baseball thing. The town was a recreation. It was based on robberies from the 90s so they filmed the plot with whatever games they had available in 2009
Wow. I don't think you grasp the whole tune of the movie. That "mini-boss" is the florist. The florist is your daddy's friend. Your dad is in jail. He got caught. Your intro is perfect. You see.. Doug knows that life won't last forever. Get rid of the florist /last heist idea. You cannot even grasp the idea. Guess the ending: Claire planting flowers.
First off SPOILER ALERT, if you haven't seen it, it is a great movie. The only noticeable plot hole in this movie is at the end where there is a plaque on the boards of the kids' ice rink that states: "Anonymous donation in memory of Doris McCray"...right. It was a feel good ending to have the stolen money pay for the ice to be put back into the ice rink, but this was AFTER they had just taken down Fenway, shooting a bunch of cops in the process, and the FBI still on McCray's trail. I'm sure Jon Hamm's character wouldn't of loved to investigate that donation. I'd consider that a massive plot hole IMO; it's just unrealistic. But it is just a movie after all, and I thought it was still perfect the way it is.
I mean they probably wrote the movie not thinking or knowing when the actual game dates were gonna be by the time they got around to filming because even the people who organized the dates for the games in the NBL didn’t know yet. The movie and games might of came out 2009-2010 but they probably wrote the plot for the movie 2007-2008.
Wait a sec, do you mean to tell me the stuff I watch in the movie theaters didn’t t actually happen? Next your gonna tell me that Tom Hanks didn’t play All American football for Alabama, Go to the moon, and survive a plane crash and a deserted island for FedEx…. Say it isn’t so!!! Lol
Continuity stuff like that bothers me, too. It’s not called Contingency. You failed to mention that Boston and the Yanks have a major rivalry hence the increase in attendance
The biggest issue I had with the movie started, and it’s a huge issue, is that Clare tells the detective she’d recognize the robbers voices if she ever herd them again; but, never reacts to hearing their voices when she meets Affleck and Renner in person later on in the movie.
I bet you a lot of people who were in that spot would have said the same thing. We all think we would recognize their face/voice but memory is not reliable. I definitely disagree with you
So, I guess your house look like one of those FBI walls with dates, times, newspaper clippings and photos of suspects, right? Did it actually take you more time to conclude this "hole" than the actual runtime of the movie? Thanks...I guess. 🤷♂
A real plot gole is Ray Liotta playing Shoeless Joe in Field of Dreams batting right when Joe Jackson was a left hander. They should have reversed the film during his batting scenes.
I'm going to say Fergie was mistaken and he later corrected himself. It probably went something like this: "My fault guys, it's actually 3 games not 4. I read the schedule wrong." "Cool."
This is one of the most incredible videos I've ever seen on youtube! It's an absolute tragedy that this didn't go viral! This is the first time I've seen one of your videos, I'm going to go check out your other vids in Hope's that you've done more like this...
Nicely done! Best line of the movie was botched though...."No one's robbed the Sox like that since Jack Clark!" Should have said Dice-K, but he was still on the team when the movie was filmed....no doubt that would have annoyed the Red Sox management as well as Dice-K himself. LOL
