8 Bit a.k.a. the third generation of gaming started in 1983 with the Japanese release of the Nintendo Family Computer and Sega. Can you guess what games inspired our 8-bit version of The Matrix? Comment below and suggest the next movie 8-bit Cinema should "gamify".

Trinity doing flips for movement makes this complete. The only thing it's missing are the flashing direction arrows telling you which way to go.

If you're thinking on NES only, so yes, he wouldn't be capable of handling all that stuff. But NES wasn't the only 8-bit platform at the time. I'm pretty sure the Sega Master System, the MSX or even the Commodore 64 could handle a game like this.

Couldn't help but notice you used a lot of assets from Metal Slug in this. The machine gun on the helicopter, the blood splatter when Neo gets shot, even some of the poses seem like they've been lifted straight out of the game. Solid work though, very charming.

You can draw them in paint and make it in there. But in a different more efficient way I wouldn't know. I made a video game using sprites made in paint on a tiny computer for a project.

Yeah. We had to be dedicated and really put in serious effort to beat a game. There weren't unlimited "continues". This instilled a work ethic that few kids have nowadays... (didn't think this would turn into a philosophical monologue :P)
