I noticed two small things you got wrong in this video. 1. You can actually activate the wing to go in its upwards position while stationary, however, in order to retract itself you have to be driving for at least 9mph. 2. The engine cover is fully accessible and can be opened by the customer, I don't know where did you get the information that only a McLaren specialist can open it. In order to open it, a special tool (screwdriver like) is required which is located in the frunk and there are no gas struts holding it up instead you have to secure it with a carbon fiber "stick" for lack of a better word. This was done due to weight saving reasons.

Doug, you're my favorite. Your grand car reviews, your impeccable style, your daunting dry jokes. You have saved my life, you have given me joy, you have single handedly saved the world. And for that I give you a score of 4/10

Doug, you missed a view quirks and features: 1. None of the digital gauges or infotainment screen can be seen with polarized glasses. 2. The spring in the stalk for the brights is insanely ..... springy... if you pull it to flash brights, it releases back beyond the neutral setting and you incidentally drive with brights on. 3. Love the carbon roof scoop. Any phone you’re using as navigation won’t as it firmly blocks all gps signal! Also, that center console armrest does open, but they are easy to jam. I bet the unique 675LT decklid “key” is stored within. This key is spring loaded and opens the engine bay. Lastly, if you drive in active with gearbox in sport, excess fuel is dumped to the exhaust on gear changes for insane pops and bangs not heard in any other mode. Just a few quirks and features that to me, truly identify the 675LT from other Mclaren models.

This is a beautiful car and I am glad Doug got to experience it. The best part is the hood scoop. That reminds me of the McLaren F1 which also had the hood scoop to allow the driver to hear the engines intake. That was a beautiful sound and something I miss in modern cars. :( Here's to turbos with very little noise. Here's to n/a with a lot of induction noises. (:

I spent about 20 years in that general area and did a LOT of driving around, from that area all the way up to SB and down to SD. And spent about 5 years in NB specifically, 11 floors up looking out at the ocean. I do miss quite a bit about SoCal.

I'm never able to understand which McLaren is which, they all look the same to me!! I was sure that I watched already this review but then I saw that the video has been uploaded like an hour ago 🙃 I mean beautiful car but they have like 20 models that look the same and the Senna ...

I thought it was OD to have a roof scoop costing that much until i seen the interior. The design, architecture, and engineering given for that function makes it worth it. This LT is insane Edit: Also there is no fighting for the center vent by default it goes to the driver

There is a tool to open the clear panel over the engine along with a prop rod to hold it open both located in the tool kit in the front trunk.
