Fortnite has changed. It's no longer about being og, bush strats, or sky bases. It's an endless series of build battles fought by sweats and pro players. Fortnite - and its consumption of life - has become a well-oiled machine. Fortnite has changed.
My very 1st time playing FortNite was due to Eminem back round December, after so many years of avoiding that game and smack-talking about it, but I caved in with Eminem's concert and cosmetics. I un-installed after a few matches, but with the MGS update, I guess I'm back in again. I got the battle-pass for Solid/Old Snake and I also got Raiden's pack as well, I really enjoy both Snake's cosmetics and Raiden's pack, Old Snake looks clean, both wraps go hard and I really enjoy the FortNite version of Old Snake's "War Has Changed" speech.
@Sumdoofus yeah tbf lol, though it was the debut of the Cell skin and thankfully Cell is my fav character in DBZ so for me it technically counts as my 'first'. There was also Invincible too! Forgot about that collab
I think Snake especially Old Snake is one of the best looking skins in the game. Edit: I hope they add Ocelot and Big Boss. Meryl, The Boss and Sniper Wolf would be great too. They have a bunch of Dragon Ball characters so who's to say they don't have a bunch of MGS in the future.

I'm very surprised with the fact how the mg comunnity had a good reception with the fortnite x metal gear collab, 'cause i though i would be something like when the gow or halo collabs came to fortnite and the fanbase of those games took very bad the fact of seeing kratos or master chief in the game, and i'm very happy how the mg fanbase accept this with the arms wide open
I think just at the time, the concept of having collab characters in a game like Fortnite was still foreign. Several years later, people are used to it now, or at the very least desensitized. I still want Master Chief and Kratos though.
I'm not going to lie. The game itself visually and gameplay wise evolved and is enjoyable. And the Metal Gear collab is perfection. I unlocked all MGS stuff as well as Raiden. I would love a Big Boss skin but I'm happy with what I have.
Can’t say I was ever a fan of Fortnite but seeing how much attention metal gear is gaining again puts a smile on my face, as naked snake would say after eating a delicious animal, “That’s damn good!”
The whole reason i got back to fortnight was because of the mgs collab since i loved the mgs collection, and honestly it was pretty fun. the skins and references are also amazing epic games did a great job with it hope they add other mgs characters like big boss, gray fox and otacon.
@@PerfectStealth no it wasn't, my first game was rising and i loved it. My second was ground zero and a handful of mgs5 and then mgs master collection at release, and my god i love this series now and can't wait for them to re release or remaster mgs4
@@PerfectStealth i though rising was amazing and great but mgs1,2 and 3 are somehow even better. Especially for me sons of liberty, it is so good that I can't explain it. Mgs2 is definitely my favorite mgs game and honestly favorite game of all time. snakes speech at the end was so well written and is chiefs kiss to an already great game.

I do know that the skins that were mentioned on the survey that were tied to metal gear were, word for word, "Cyborg" Raiden and Solidus Snake Hopefully we do get some more, several of the collabs get updated with more skins later down the line all the time, tons of people definitely want a cyborg version for Raiden after all
Im happy that they made raiden un-cyborg for this update he fits more with solid snake. Me and my duo have been sneaking around the map in those skins and its really fun. Were trash but whatever😂
Finally tried out Fortnite for the first time when they announced Snake was coming. Jumped in at start of this season. Absolutely loving Zero Build, Rocket Racing, and Lego modes.
Keep in mind that collabs won't stop by simply adding two skins and bunch of items and emotes, they will probably add more Metal gear related things at least few months later
I literally never played Fortnite until this season's trailer dropped with Snake and the Rhythm mode, those are what made me cave and finally give it a try. The Festival mode is great and is going to be getting lots of support to make it even better, and I got hooked on the BR gameplay. Snake being just a few weeks/months away was all I needed. I was pleasantly surprised to see not only a great deal of love for MGS4 but to see usable items in the game that come from the series. Add in MGS2 Raiden, and we have ourselves the perfect collab for a Metal Gear fan. The survey news has me excited for what else we could see in the future. We're likely to see either the MGS Master Collection Vol. 2 or MGS3 Delta later this year (possibly both?), so another collab is far from impossible. Thinking about who else could show up in Fortnite is exciting, I've seen a lot of hope for characters like Gray Fox or Ocelot (the latter I'm VERY interested in how they would translate), or some more Snake and Raiden variants like Big Boss/Naked Snake or Raiden as he is in MGS4 or later in MGRR. Personally I'd be excited for any characters (and would buy them all), but a few I'd love to see are PS1 Snake (old polygons and all), Liquid, and EVA. Regardless, this was a really fun collab, and has me excited for what else is in store for Metal Gear this year.

I disagree with the fact that they all look like Metal Gear cosplayers and not Metal Gear characters, i mean it looks like they reused older models and added beards and wigs
Yeah I think Brawl + Twin Snakes got a lot of primarily Nintendo playing gamers into MG back in the day! Crossovers like this help expand the playerbase and that’s a good thing!
Late comment, but this collab is what pushed me to start the metal gear series. I’ve always been interested in it since my brothers loved it but this is what did it. Played through 1 and 2, loved them. In the middle of 3 right now and while I don’t like it as much it is still enjoyable. Made sure to get all of the Metal Gear cosmetics, and am waiting for Collection vol 2 + Metal Gear Delta
Ah, no way they'd do that. Fortnite wants the skins to NOT provide any tactical advantage so that they're not considered "Pay-to-Win". In the past, they released some skins based off little green plastic army men toys, but players found that the full green color allowed them to blend in with bushes, etc. So, they ever up having to charge the texture of those skins so that they're easier to see. Putting in a character that straight up wears a ghillie suit would be OP AF.

Bro if they put in some of the famous bosses from metal gear like fortune with her railgun ability, vamp with his high jumping and fast running abilities, Vulcan raven with his mini gun , etc etc would be so freaking cool

My only real complain about the Raiden Skin is that they didn't include his MGS4 version, for the sake of synergyzing with Snake who has the "MGS1" and MGS4 version
I doubt it hard considering it's Konami, and we all know Konami is a bitch and a half to deal with, the fact we even got Snake and Raiden is a small miracle

The fact that they included (and arguably improved) an actual gameplay element from the MGO series is really nice. The ability to distribute boxes as decoys instead of having to dive out of them is an improvement, if you ask me.
Epic Games should bring more characters like Ocelot with his MGS3 ,MGS5 and MGS4 styles , The Boss , Big Boss with his Naked Snake style and MGS4 style , Grey Fox, Ninja Raiden
Metal Gear, the console selling franchise, people will buy a whole new console just to play a single metal gear game, in this case, people will start to play a whole different game because it has Snake in it, that's how loyal we are, that's how much we love mgs. Thank you Kojima.
This collab has been so amazing! I absolutely adore MGS2 and 4 out of all the others in the series and the fact we got both of those represented hits me especially well. I was hoping for MGS2 Raiden and expected he might only be the MGS4 or Rising version, which ended up not even being here at all to my surprise and disappointment. But still, what we have is great. Old man Snake looks incredible. I took a ton of pictures of him in the theater mode. I imagine we may see a Big Boss skin at some point in the shop given what you said about the surveys, just so people that miss out on the pass can still get a Snake skin down the line.
I got into fortnite due to the first dragon ball collab because of Beerus. it was the 5th try I give fortnite a chance and honestly I admit I had alot of fun for once. I have been playing it alot since late 2022 and it has given me thought that it's okay to be an adult n enjoy something silly, I enjoyed attending events on music, tv shows, etc. But for the base game the Battle Royale and the Save the World game I saw the gameplay technical side of why fortnite is actually fun but has some deep mechanics to get on the "Sweaty" gamer level and adapt to new or creative play styles depending on the match situation with specific tools, weapons, spots to find secret healing loot (fishing/digging some areas or hidden healing followers.) There is also the infamous sweat building mechanics which after few days of practice became very addictive to outsmart players through player made maze buildings along with other terrain nearby. There is that sense of satisfaction of getting better at the complex build mechanics n out smart a player in your maze like building, also it feels fun having to parkour, yeet around while having about 11 to 23 kills while you get top 3 placements in the match. Even if I dont bag that new crown victory I feel happy reaching top 3 enough. I do think fortnite haters who can actually put up with playing sweaty in other games should give this game another shot, heck some of the ladies n men are packing some nice asses in that game which I can't deny personally. (I should go to horny jail) There is no shame in playing Zero Build mode which I prefer most of the time because it forces you the player to pay attention to your surroundings more and use them effectively in combat, evasion, stealth etc. So if the build mode is too annoying, don't worry there are alot of people who play zero build mode who are very good shooters but suck at the building feature or they just need a break from it. Infact out of me and my friends there is only 2 people who can tolerate the build mode out of 15 of my friends who play fortnite, 13 of them would rather play zero build. However I didn't know that Jill Valentine was in this game until I saw a sweaty chris redfield just one shot me and I was so happy to see him in the game then I found out that Jill is in it and dude she's my favourite gal since the 90s
Whats great is that for the Bonus Skins (being what the Solid Snake outfit is taking the place of in the Battle Pass) is that they always try to Tie in their ip in to the gameplay itself. This has been true since Chapter 2 Season 2 and hasnt stopped since. This is where Spider-Man and his Web Shooters came from back in Chapter 3 Season 1, How we got Attack on Titan's Eren Jaeger and the ODM Gear all as available loot in the BR gameplay (For a limited time in Chapter 4). While it is cool, there is a huge asterisk that with the Battle Passes You only have about 3-4 months to finish it/do the Challenges. MGS got really lucky as there quite little for their source material besides from characters and ofc the Items. But these skins are gonna be gone forever when not acted on. WHICH BLOW when its characters that are a big deal. Although there are. some other IP didnt get as good of representation much like how The Witcher got represented in Fortnite with a bad sign up only Challenges and some Creative maps just for an extra Sword (as a Pickaxe) and Banners. Besides this Fortnite handles Cosmetics alot better as it usually Never gives a competitive advantage. And also with Battle Passes are usually Cheep. (and get you to Keep on playing since you get 1500 Vbucks apon completion). Even with Item shop skin bundles, for all Items in a set are always about 23 to 37 Dollars for a set depending on Size.
The only downside of the collab is that Solid (not Old) Snake and Raiden don't have a built-in emote to wear/remove their headgear. I'm hoping for mgs4 Raiden later.
We definitely need big boss and The few iconic weapon in the serie in Fortnite like the Socom wait i has even more crazyer idea A Full Pilot Metal gear Rex or Ray it will be like the mecha from Fortnite chapter 1 season 10
One thing I do need to mention is that the two mythics are actually reskins from previous seasons I don't remember where the EMP stealth camo first originated but I know the box first originated in chapter 2 season 2
I need revolver ocelot mainly from metal Gear Solid 3 but I'll go with any revolver ocelot I just need him he's my favorite character next to Big Boss and venom

im especially surprised about the mgs4 style, i imagine they have some 20 something year olds who played alot of it in their teens on the ps3 like i did trying to advocate for it lol
There so much detail in old man snakes suit it puts the others to shame. Still feel like Raiden should of got a rising skin with and without the mask maybe lighting reactivity
