"Scooby-Doo and the Monster of Mexico" is one of my all time favorite of the 7 direct-to-video WNSD spin-off films! It was very interesting seeing the Scooby gang chase after a Cryptid even though it turned out to be another fake like always.

This movie made me interested unironically in Mexican culture 😭 as a Romanian Mexico and Latin America seemed like brothers from different mothers at times 😅😢😮

To be fair it was kinda nice for once to see at least one of them actually say something about the movie and how they enjoyed it at the end aside all the jokes. I am aware that the channel is more about the jokes than an actual commentary/reaction (at least that's how the channel feels like to me) but it was definitely nice to hear how he enjoyed the movie for once since they never actually say a lot if they liked something or not.

Scooby Doo had some amazing animated movies. Zombie Island, Ghoul School, Witch’s Ghost, just to name a few

This was my starting era for Scooby-Doo, the WNSD era. To this day I still love a lot of those films, Aloha, Loch Ness Monster, Where's My Mummy, Pirate's Ahoy, even Goblin King. I even have the dubious honor of having a signed copy of the comic book adaptation of Goblin King.

I remember this movie being praised in Mexican news outlets. No idea how it's held up since. Sidenote: youse need to watch Witch's Ghost as well, it's the first appearance of the much beloved Hex Girls. And is on par with Zombie Island for its inclusion of actual supernatural elements instead of just guys in masks.

Mexican here 1: This movie is so bad that I love it. 2: the chupa cabra is more lika a big demonic coyote than a big foot 3: in the part where Fred talks to the locals in bad Spanish, in the Latin version it is f funny since the whole movie is dubbed in Spanish, so throughout the movie the characters speak in normal Spanish, but when Fred speaks with the locals he makes it slower and more stuck, it seems that he suddenly forgot how to communicate or that he had a brain attack for a moment
