Thank you for doing what you do. The feeling these bands create is amazing and setting it to these movies is just perfection. Hats off 👏 keep doing what you do
DAMN, I miss the 80's!!.... The 80's and 90's were DEFINITELY the 2 GREATEST DECADES EVER!!! I was born in the late 70's, so I actually LIVED and remember all the things that made that era so special! It really makes me sad that my kids (who are pretty much grown now) have never been able to experience such a time!
You can't undersell that enough. Everything was great... hell we even watched Andre the giant every saturday morning. Whats not to love about Andre the giant. After cartoons and the saturday morning extravaganza with massive amounts of sugar in our cereals. We would go outside get on a bike/skateboard/three-wheelers/dirt bikes and find where everyone in the neighborhood was at. Tare it up until well after dark.
@@marcussmith4913 Absolutely!... Anyone that had a BMX, was able to see Andre (not to mention seeing Hulk Hogan and Mr T. team up at WrestleMania 3), AND got to witness the earliest (and BEST) years of Mtv,, knows exactly what we're talking about! 😁👍
Born in 2001...but yet, I still experience nostalgia for the 80s. That's how good their music is. Also...partly because I grew up with so much 80s culture influence in my home, that it was like I lived in a hybrid world of the 80s and 2000s
Just discovered the Midnight. Can’t say enough how living in the 80’s was a magical time. Kids were kids, the music, fashion, movies, soundtracks, that special crush, falling in love and that slow dance. Amazing song!
Being in love in the 1980ies was the closest one could get to paradise. The Midnight captures it near perfection and takes the heart on a walk through memory lane. Thanks! And keep the fire burning.
Nostalgia will make you feel good and sad at the same time. Things will never be back to how it was but you keep replaying events in the past in your head. These songs are a great way of unrealistically transporting us to a time we felt everything was real
Anyone else here listening to this multiple times in a day or weeks at time, questioning yourself? Are you also like me just missing the sense of innocence? Sense of purity of soul? I miss it! I miss feeling something real without any preconceived notions or judgment. I miss the innocence and the clarity. I miss the feeling of being vulnerable before people and especially among girls. I also desperately miss those periods in life where we don't put too much defense to protect ourselves from hurts and pain! I rather feel the pain of hurt than not being hurt at all. Then actually i know my feelings worth at least something.
You're a million % right! 1 song that came out in 85 was from TEARS FOR FEARS called, Everybody wants to rule the world '' and it started with the 1st lyric of the song, '' Weñcome to your life! There's no turning back '' I'm 50 now and I wish, I never heard that song!
If the sun's not up I'll bring it to you And if my mind says stop My heart will know what to do And if the stars are faded I'll blow the sun to pieces Make it rain Then the loneliness is gone We can role back time Before we we're broken inside Leave it all behind Forget the world for awhile Or maybe we'd be strangers And we never needed fixing We'll be okay Because we never met at all I could be a comet Floating through space Cause being lost in you Is the best place Let's go back to where we started I'll be right here Just follow the light Let me burn through your atmosphere I burn for you When the day turns night You know where to go You see the light in the sky You'll know then I'll know Maybe we can make it And hear when the air is cleared up In the blue Far away from gravity I could be a comet Floating through space Cause being lost in you Is the best place Let's go back to where we started I'll be right here Just follow the light Let me burn through your atmosphere I burn for you I'll be like a comet Floating in your space Cause being lost in you I'll be lost for days Let's go back to where we started I'll be right here Just follow the light Let me burn through your atmosphere I burn for you And I will burn through Cause I burn for you
@@Anthony-qb2gr Hi. no. Its been a disappointing spring and summer. Its drizzel rain at present time. We have had a lot of rain the past couple of months. Normally this time of year its hot and balmy weather. Somebody should ask Mother nature to change her ways.
@@4TheMotorist That's interesting, Mother Nature has been crazy lately around the world, here in South Texas it's been a warm winter, no rain, just eating them warm Tamales 😂.
Its a sunday evening and its almost dusk. I can see the sun setting over the horizon of trees and mountains. I have a great job, am financially secure but there is this void in my life that i can't fill. And this song reminds me of someone I thought could fill that void. I wonder where she is now and what she's doing. I wonder if I ever mattered.
While listening to this song, I feel so much nostalgia for the best decade ever, that I could exchange my entire life for a single Saturday night out at a disco dancing like a maniac!
She is so beautiful back then. This movie is taking me back in time where all the wonderful things happens without smartphones. Wonderful memories of the 80's
What is with all these perjorative comments about smart phones on these nostalgic videos? I was young in the '80s and I've no issue with phones. In fact, had I had one, it would've saved my butt a few times back then.
@@user-wh5ir4fo4r your knee jerk reaction shows how addicted you are to smarphones and social media. Look around you: people are ADDICTED, kids, elders, you name it. I cross paths with beautiful women and they don't look into my eyes because they are glued to their electronic screens. Is sad as fuck.
John Stamos once said that Laurie Loughlin was the one "THAT GOT AWAY". He said he had a huge crush on her when they were working on the TV show FULL HOUSE, but was afraid of being turned down. I guess now we can say, he dodged a bullet.
I've never thought falling in love with a song was possible, but The Midnight proves me wrong time and time again! This song combines nostalgia, romance and hopefulness in a way no other band could, just a spectacular piece of music.
It really was. It didn't have all the fancy things like now, but it had life and hope. I would go back asap if that would be possible. Sun was really shining then and it was warm.
Man. I barely turned 13 in 1988. And I had already been to juvi & had sex. lol Thought I was so grown. But looking back now, I was just a baby trying to grow up too fast. Shoulda took my time to enjoy the years I would spend the rest of my life wanting to get back to. Oh well, guess that's life. Least I got to do it in southern California. Grateful for that. Anyway. Sorry for the flashback. lol Good to meet you.
I am from the 80s, it was an unforgettable time, thank you for your music, it’s just awesome! I am a filmmaker and am just thinking of how great I could make a film with your music.
I discovered this film just weeks ago thanks to this video. I must say that despite of it was a 80's teenagers movie it surprised me. It was funny and reminded me my younger days. Keanu overreacted but Lori did a quite good job.
The scenes in the video are from a 1988 movie called The Night Before starring Lori Loughlin & Keanu Reeves. I saw this movie when it first came out, already had a huge crush on Lori since I first saw her on daytime TV a few years before. This was most definitely when she was at her beauty peak...
80’s the best time in the human history. Happy the ones who can say i lived in this time. Those who haven’t… they don’t know what they missed. Maybe it’s better for them. They can’t regret this age of gold like we do.
The 80's wasn't some golden age. It was horrible. It was the age of Iran contra the start of the war on drugs and the outbreak of the aids epidemic. It may have been a good time for you but that doesn't mean it was for everyone else.
@@galactic85 each ages their horrible moments. But the 80’s is the richest time in maybe movie, musics. All of it was with a quality you can’t find today.
@@galactic85 yeah, there were no wars or horrible times until the 80s. Every era has wars and unpleasantness. What you can't deny is that for music, TV, films etc, the 80s can't be beaten. That's why all they're doing in Hollywood these days is remaking 80s films. And as for music, do you think anyone is going to class anyone from 2000-2021 as a legend in 30 odd years time?😉
Your songs never feel old.your songs are evergreen songs+ nostalgic. I pray you guys live a longer life and keep making such music so I could listen to new ones from you guys even when I am in my 50s 😊😊💕💕❤️❤️
I wish I could understand Cyrillic alphabet to be able to sound out the letters at least. Ah the East-West separation. I am sad. We would be better together, stronger and happier.
this music and visuals make me both happy and sad. Happy it happened and i got to experience it...and sad that its not how things are now...but i think more important;y, it makes me FEEL!
