To be fair poison is harmless so long as you don't take any further damage and a mushroom island is just about the safest biome in the game

I have an idea of what a feature could be: For the mushroom creeper when it explodes and leaves a poison cloud, you can trap the poison in a bottle and it will turn into a splash potion of poison gas which will leave a cloud of poisonous gas when thrown

The mushroom creeper could be FAR worse. Imagine if you punch it and it explodes and hundreds of spores blow outwards to grow hundreds of new mushroom creepers in the place of one. Like a Hydra but on steroids.

Theres a creeper in the 1.7.10 pack that teleports you randomly. Sometimes it can help other times you get put in lava, a random cave or just straight up inside blocks
