If your going to review a car especially one you’ve owned for two years know what you are talking about. I also stopped it after you said it was a twin turbo. Uhhmmm it’s not.

I managed to ignore your slip on DLRs but as soon as you said 'twin turbo' you lost my attention completely. Read a spec sheet, it will buff your credibility.

I can’t wait I just bought a 2019 jcw I’m soo stoked ! I bought it after testing a 2016 cooper s which blew my mind cuase it’s faster than my Audi TT which effing rips! And it’s steering is sharp and precise, I haven’t even driven the jcw but after the cooper s I was sold so this jcw I’m waiting to show up is no doubt going to rock my socks 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻

I have a Mini Cooper that I absolutely adore. I love my car as much as my pets. When I bought her I was looking at a JCW but sadly the bodywork was in poor condition so I ended up with a regular mini cooper. Minis *are* awesome cars, great fun to drive, economic and beautiful.

Really honest review however as a constant watcher of your vlogs I understand how much you love this car, but as a new viewer you are underselling the car!! Why give 3 disadvantages of a car when your trying to sell it to someone, yes I agree cover disadvantages but don’t dwell on them, overall it is a sick car!

Generally, a good video, decent delivery. As others have said - DRL not DLR. Daytime Running Lights - I also stand to be corrected here but I don't think you can 'spec' these - aren't they standard with LED lights? Also the movement of the lights with your steering input is Adaptive LED Headlights which is an optional extra. It's a not a centre console that is 'down' and getting in the way of your click wheel infotainment controller (iDrive in BMWs) it's an armrest. Which BMWs don't have the front windows go the whole way down? Also, the speed limit display on your Head Up Display? That's a Driver Assistant Package not an 'autonomous' car - there is no such MINI (yet!) I don't mean you any ill will with your videos but the lack of knowledge is odd. The steering wheel reach and rake adjustment discovery...You do though have 365k subscribers so you must be doing something right!

Got to drive the JCW last week with pro tune kit and it’s so much better than standard especially with the pro exhaust

DLR - Docklands Light Railway or DRL Daylight Running Lights ??

Had mine for a year and 2 months now. Still a blast to drive every day. DO NOT SPEC WITHOUT THE TRACK EXHAUST. IT IS A MUST HAVE!

Re: Gearbox: Its a ZF 8 Speed with GPS shifting. Torque converter box over a dual clutch as in the Golf R. Fwd, RWD or 4WD it doesnt matter. Its a good box but it wont let you change when it doesnt want to. Looking forward to seeing what your bring on board next! :)

Found your channel today with this video. A few glitches on your descriptions but an overall great review and a you are a natural. 300k subs, 21 years old and plenty evolving potential mean you will be a big name amongs youtubers.

This generation MINI does change a lot if you are driving in different modes. Sport mode means, quicker throttle response and stiffer suspension if you have the adaptive suspension.

Great JCW reviews from Alex and he's right they are fun to drive and with all the toys fitted what a blast, I know as I actually bought one last week, yes very expensive but an excellent build by BMW. Got the eight speed auto, yes I'm a lazy buck, even our MX5 is an auto but for real fun my Honda motorcycle isn't.

I've had every generation apart from the Peugeot engined variant from 2007-2013, the classic is unpractical in every way but the ultimate experience (love the smell of fuel in the morning!) the supercharged modern take sounded nice but drank fuel (and had it's share of problems such as the radiator) They nailed it with the new one (apart from the massive owl eyes at the back) that engine has loads of potential aswell I believe it's out of the Supra (Z4? lol) so expect an easy 300BHP don't even need a JCW or GP

you said it Minis have character and are a hoot to drive. I have the basic cooper and even that just flies thru corners.

Mini does come in Four door OR you can get a Mini JCW CountryMan🙄... Need bigger but ride low... Mini JCW Clubman🙄... But yeah... I thought about switching things up a bit to get the BMW Z4... I fell back into getting another Mini Cooper S with Pro tuning kit later down the road... Kool review... Alex ur the Best... 💪

To add on to what is a well known problem for mini cooper - the interior panels start making flexing noise after a couple of years of ownership which can be irritating for someone who likes a peaceful drive.

it's a 2l twin scroll turbo, not twin turbo... it would be a shame if it was twin turbo, and only have 232hp... but i totaly agree that the MINI is a awesome car!! i drive a Cooper S LCI

Alex there must be a fault with your mini because I have the same car and you say there is no difference in the steering between the modes, wrong there is a massive difference in the different modes if you still have it get it checked out.......great videos you make......superb car
