If women sleep with someone they better expect to raise that child alone since they are taking on the responsibility of child bearing without being married. YOU are the one who decided to have sex, you weren't raped. YOU allowed sex without protection. YOU couldnt control your sexual desires. YOU are an adult capable of thinking for yourself and making decisions like sex which can have life long consequences, and benefits. YOU are to blame for being a single mother. The man just did what you allowed him to do and now the woman wants to blame him for not wanting to be a father. If you wanted him to be a father.... Why didn't you marry him? 🤔

The ravings of a potential Deadbeat Dad (if he isn't already.) Blames women, not himself. No sense of responsibility. Ignore trollers like this Shay, you and your guests said it all in the video. 99.9% of your viewers know what this guy is. You don't have to respond to losers like him.

@@albraun-sq6rg You are wrong and the commenter was correct. Women control access to sex. Men control access to relationships. When a woman makes a decision to engage in sexual relationships without commitment, the woman is rolling the dice and the fault lies with her first and foremost. The accountability starts with her. Shifting all accountability towards others is wrong. We all know women hate accountability. It is part of female nature. Being a single mother in the Philippines is definitely tougher than it is in the US due to there being no welfare state or child support. All the more reason that women should take sex more seriously there.

Thursday, May 18, 2023 Metatron, you are as cold as ice. 🥶 You don't have a single drop 💧 of compassion or empathy. You are selfish, selfish, and selfish. 😕 Well, you did pick Metatron for a nickname. I see you're one of those overweight, nerdy, gamer, computer boys with next to no social skills. Most of what you wrote also applies to the boy. When a person abandons a woman he got pregnant, I can not call him a man. There is an old expression - it takes 2 to tango. 💃🕺 There is no sex education in The Philippines. There is next to no birth control. And sadly, there is a general stigma against using condoms. In one of her videos, Rubeauti recalled being in a convenience store. There was a western man ahead of her, and he picked a box of condoms from a shelf and added the box to the things he was buying. The cashier was a woman, and she gave him a weird look, as if to say - why are you buying condoms? The man just ignored her. And ... abortion is illegal in The Philippines. So with all those conditions, lots of young women are going to get pregnant. This is the reality of the situation. And Filipino men are famous for abandoning their families, being alcoholics or drug addicts, and gambling their money away. Ooohh, but you don't understand reality. You live in an artificial world of video games. 👾👽👻 And, of course, I am not writing this for you, since people who lack empathy don't want to improve themselves, but for other people who will read your sad note. Someone needs to act as a foil to cold hearted people. Thank you for your video, Shay! 😀 It was so touching to see all the love and effort you put into raising your sweet daughters. It was especially touching to see the 3 of you on the beach, working to clean up litter from other people and keeping the boardwalk and your beautiful beach 🏖clean. 🥰 I wish you abundant success and happiness! 😀 I love you, too. 💙

@@Life_WithShay You say that single Mothers are not damaged goods....but it is the filipino people that say this! You know that a filipina Mother would NEVER allow her filipino son to marry a filipina single Mother. NEVER. Because she thinks that the single Mother is "damaged goods." Am I correct? Which is why the only choice for a single filipina Mother is to be with a much older foreigner....because he is the one to accept her and her child. This is a fact! So don't get pregnant to begin with and insist your filipino bf use a condom! INSIST!!!!! No excuses!!!!! Or things will NEVER change!!!!

I dated after she left but only one seemed to be really interested in me. One day she came over and wanted to talk but left her 2 kids with her babysitter. She's asked me to marry her, but under one condition. I had to give my son up for adoption. I was shocked, very angry, and very hurt. I couldn't even speak to her I was so angry. I opened the front door and pointed. At that point she knew I was extremely angry and she left. She came back 2 weeks later and said, ok you can keep your son. The problem was, now I knew she didn't want my son around and I couldn't take the chance on her abusing my son. So I told her to never come back. After that I dated but never found the right woman. It turns out most American women don't like men with kids bcuz I'm still single.

I'm a single father, having lost my wife tragically a couple of years ago. If that makes me damaged goods then so be it. I'm living my life in a way to bring maximum happiness to myself and others and anyone who doesn't support that is probably not someone I would spend my time on. Much respect to all of the single parents out there. I'll also just encourage all of you to never give up. Like Paul said in the clip, there are men out there who will view it as a benefit. My children are not mine biologically, but they are mine. When I met their mother, I only saw good things about it. I promised that I would care for them if anything ever happened, and I'm happy to have an opportunity to fulfill that promise. Much love to you all. 🙏🧡

This video is really well done Shay, It's been my experience in life that people who have to overcome some obstacle or difficulty in life end out to be better people for it not damaged goods. Its how you respond to a situation in your life that makes you who you are. I follow all the women you interviewed and I'd love to meet all of them because I think they all are very special people who have a real depth to their personalities. None of them are damaged goods in any way, they are resilient strong individuals who I would be proud to call friends of mine. My mother had two children and her husband just took off and left never to be heard from again. My father married her and she had 3 more children. All 7 of us grew up as one family and my mother went on to get a doctorate in Education. The strangest thing to me about single mothers is that there is a man out there somewhere who has a child and he doesn't care about them at all. I could never live knowing I had a child and not want to be part of their life.

My wife was a single mother of 3 when I met her. I had already raised two sons and being a father is one of the greatest joys I've experienced. Not every man would agree and they are certainly free to have their own opinions but, my wife gave me three amazing gifts that bring immense love and joy into my life. For the deadbeat dads, out there, real men that are ready to STEP UP say thank you for getting out of our way. Any boy can be a sperm donor, it takes a MAN to be a father. For all ladies that are facing fears, struggles and misguided opinions because your partner wasn't a real man, BE PROUD! You are the mothers of the human race just like any other mother!

A very thought-provoking presentation on a topic in which everyone should give introspection to, especially those who tend to cast labels or judgement onto others without really knowing their backstory first. The challenges of single mothers in PH is quite different from the same in other, more developed societies where support systems abound....and the statistics provided are rather sobering. We all should invest more time in observing and familiarizing ourselves with someone new before we place any kind of a label on them. Well done Shay 😊

So, I would prefer to date a single mom because I want her life to be complete.

Hi Shay, Richie Rich here, I have watched a few vids of yours and stitched a few vids that include Leahs and your content. I already have a partner, and I dont simp so im not "fishing" here. I do, however, want to pay you a compliment regarding how you carry yourself on a public forum and your ability to succinctly discuss difficult topics like this one. You are likely an inspiration to other women here in the Philippines, whether single moms or not. Keep up the hard work. I wonder if it wouldn't be really beneficial to talk about some of the mistakes you may have made as a young girl that you would take back in retrospect. Maybe that would also help a lot of the teens or young ladies here to consider your words before making the same decisions as you at that time. Keep up the hard work. It always pays off. Sincerely, Richie Rich

Everyone grows up and learns the lessons of life their own way. I do believe once we have made decisions that makes life harder for us individually, we usually adapt and carry on the best that we are capable of, and this will make us stronger as we age on. These struggles I believe make us more aware of the downside of poor decisions that we are capable of making, and thus we focus on slowing down and careful thought for ourselves, to make better choices for our futures. That isn’t being damaged in any way to make poor decisions as young adults, that’s just called life and learning from it in our own special way, to proceed on our unique journey going forward. All the single Mom’s are stronger and cherish their children, everything usually works out in the end for most of them. My best wishes for you and your daughters, you’ve been blessed in so many ways, you’re very lucky indeed. 😊

In Europe women initiate 70-80% of divorces. For comparison, in informal relationships, breakups are initiated equally. In the west, it's women who kick the fathers out of the family the most. In the Philippines, men often use a "hit-and-run" strategy. There is a big difference between our countries.
@Life_WithShay
@Life_WithShay Год назад
I agree with that Daniel, but I think Filipinas are becoming less tolerant of bad behavior from their men. Like I did, many will leave or get rid of their partners and choose to be on their own rather than stay in bad relationships. Not enough, but it is changing.

Shay, sitting here in Melbourne Australia, I want to tell you that you are a hero of mine. I decided this when I saw the video of you and the girls cleaning the beaches of Dumaguete, and I'm further convinced after watching this. In fact, all the single mothers that dust themselves off and raise their children without support from either fathers or the government, but from their own hard work, are to be admired, not looked down upon. I am retiring to the Philippines, in the next few years and will be there for a visit later in this year. I would have no hesitation in being with a single mom and supporting both her, and her children, except for one thing... When a single mother is a married single mother, that is a scary thing for a foreign guy. It means that we would be breaking your laws and opening ourselves up to the repercussions of that by being with someone else's legal wife. Until the government make annulments easier and more cost effective, I'm not sure things will improve. Your girls will always know and remember the sacrifices you have made for them. People like you make this world a better place.

You see many videos from vloggers in the Philippines relating to this style of video that do not have any direct experience with the topic of this video. This is the second or third video in your collection that I have viewed, and I continue to be impressed by your calmness and style on presenting your subjects to you viewers. I have to admit I am very busy personally and I pick your videos at random to view and see your style, and it seems to be fluent at this stage. Children may not always be planned in peoples lives but they should never be a regret. I have two beautiful children from being married in my life, and they now raise their own beautiful children within their marriages, but I would never have judged them for marital status as my children and grandchildren are treasures of my life. As mentioned by an earlier commentator the marital rules and divorce costs there are prohibitive and a deterrent for those of us that live abroad. Enough said on this video :)

Data from around the world shows that children raised by single mothers are statistically more likely to; go to prison, fail at work and education, fail romantically and be more violent and antisocial. So what are the positives to potentially ruining your child's life? On top of this, single mothers are a burden on society that all men through their taxes have to shoulder. (in case you don't know, women are net tax beneficiaries and men are net tax payers.)

This is an amazing video!!! It is definitely the single best I have seen about single moms in the Philippines, SERIOUSLY. There was not one comment from any of your guests that I did not agree with (I follow Paul and others for 4 years now). As Paul mentioned, I am one of the men who actually thinks finding a partner with a child or children would be a blessing because I don't want to make a baby at 67 years of age. But would like to know that I have been able to provide for my family and enjoy the love and joy they bring to my life. Thanks for sharing this especially because of the personal information, took courage. Oh my mom was single mom too.

First off thank you for the many hours of labor, blood, sweat and tears you put into filming and editing this film. It really is well presented. Many points of view are bought into the comments section and people don't generally change their opinions so I'm not sure mine really matters. What matters is you bravely said what you've wanted to say for a while now I think. And you've shown the community that a life is not defined by a few bad choices but can be redeemed by taking responsibility and changing what you can and accepting what you cannot. You should start a women's support group. You would make a difference. Your daughters can be proud to call you their mother.

Thank you so much as always Chris! Your comments are always so thoughtful. My woman's group is my channel. I don't feel much like an activist as I'm a little too nervous around a lot of people. I don't know if it damaged me or not, but I raised 2 kids for 14 years from an ex-wife. They were not mine, but I raised them like my own. My ex lied in many ways including cheating. She was stealing and lying, mental, physical abuse because women know they can do it here (USA). I finally left them all. Oddly, I found out a few months later, one of her new bf went to the oldest kid HS graduation. For some reason that broke my heart thinking of all the love and energy I devoted to those kids. Then I also realized my worst nightmare is raising child(ren) of another father and them growing up and wanting to go find their biological father. Which I have seen happen with every friend that raised another father's child. They seem to be understanding of the now adult child, but it never make sense to me why child had to find dad that didn't care. When I am dad, I am the only dad. I don't answer to him or ask permission from him or his family for anything. Just how it works for me right or wrong to anyone else opinion. Never had child of my own blood by choice. No win situation here if she leaves me.
@Life_WithShay

Hi Johnny! You are not damaged. What good things you did for those children will come back to you in other ways. We should do for others because we want to, not because we expect anything in return. I expect nothing from what I do, including for my children. I just do it because I care about them, and I care about certain things as well. Hope to see you tomorrow at my livestream :)

First of all Shay, its wonderful that your feeling better , Now I understand why editing took a while , this vlog I'm sure took a while to put together . I feel that most of your subscribers are aware of the problems singe mothers face . Me personally a single mom is ideal because at my age I wouldn't be able to watch a baby grow , watch them go through school ect . But having said that I love kids . I personally know several single moms who have had what I will call " sperm " donors who go from girl to girl leaving a trail of children , and that's not limited to pinoy . Shay , I've watched enough of your video's and seen enough to know you are raising 2 wonderful loving kids any mom would be proud of and its easy to see the type of person you are ..Any " good " man would be blessed to have you by their side to share that first smile each morning .. There is a whole bunch of wonderful in this 4'11" mom and creator. All of the beautiful Filipinas here are well-spoken, caring, and very capable young women. One positive in the Philippines about a single mom that did not get married is a little weird. If they are a single mom and never married their partner she is free to find a good man. However, if she got legally married, then the guy ran away. The Philippine govt makes it legally dangerous for guys to become a partner. I hope this changes in the future. Sometimes videos need to be done honestly. This was a great show. Have yourself and your children a Magical Day.

Personally I didn’t ever think of her as being a poor single mom, that needed me to rescue her. She knew that my intentions was to settle down in a secure relationship with a partner that cares for me and wants to build a future with me even though I’m a busy man that is still working and isn’t looking for a early retirement and minimalist lifestyle. I feel that I have been blessed to meet her because she has come from a very stable family in a beautiful home with a mother father and two brothers that all worked together to keep their home since they were born. The home her papa built. Her father has passed and I was blessed to have met him and spend time to see the values that he passed down to his children and granddaughter.I know that I have “big shoes to fill” to carry on his values for my wife and our daughter that I love so much.

This video is well done, but difficult to watch. The trolls posting below are absolutely ridiculous. In the U.S., if a deadbeat gets someone pregnant and tries to walk away he can be forced to pay child support or, in many states, be placed in jail. The fact that an American and/or a Filipino man can walk away with no ramifications is tragic. Men should be forced to take care of their children no matter where they were fathered - it's not like he wasn't present and participating enthusiastically when the child was conceived. If he decides to engage in sexual activity, he should be 50% liable for the outcome. Saying it's up to the female is a disgusting copout and society should force him into accountability.
@Life_WithShay
@Life_WithShay Год назад
What's done is done. The mothers are not running away from the responsibilities, the dad's are. It's tiring to hear men always blaming women. They only see that women engaged in the act, as if the men had nothing to do with it - and then the women have to be the mothers and fathers of their children . And yes, I completely agree with everything that you said. It's heartwarming to know there are real men out there who show compassion towards other people . Thank you!
