I can't be the only one who still goes back to watch this amazing movie from time to time. It has to be the best simulator-based rail series since The Full Bucketniers. Not even dajara521's films come close.

Truly a classic series of my childhood.

Almost a decade later and this series is still my favorite trainz videos on RU-vid. Just rewatched everything and brought back so many good memories. 🙂

Ah the Nostalgia. Hard to imagine this is a Decade old. Thanks for the memories in these trying times.

For those who are still patiently waiting on the sequel to this series, I am happy to announce that a new PC has finally been secured! Next step is to secure myself a copy of Trainz 12, and then filming can begin!

This. This brings me back. Thank you, this was my childhood, I love these videos, even though I have moved on to cars, these hold a special place in my heart, especially Ep. 5 those E7/E8/E9s were my favorite locomotives and still will be, this has brought back nostalgia, memories, so much, thank you for making these, in a few years, I might revisit these, who knows?

I is sad that he died. But it always makes me feel so good when you said the diesels got the same punishment as the steam engines. They diserved it!

Thank you Ron for creating what became my childhood! This series stuck with me up till now, and they still evoke the same emotions it gave me back then!

I’ve only watched part 5 and 6 of this series but I already understand the plot from those parts. This was beautifully made. Amazing job on making this!

My sincerest apologies to those who have been waiting for a sequel to this. Everything is in place for production to start, but I've been rewriting the screenplay in hopes of producing something a little higher in quality. That, combined with my line of work, has made production slow. I thank those of you who are patient, and I hope that whenever the sequel is released, it will have been worth the wait.

You know, if Disney did a Trains movie, they should come to you for suggestions, because this movie was awesome :D

Aaron (funny, that's my name too) I want to thank you. Before I watched this series, I had no clue where I wanted to take my life. I had a few ideas, but there was no passion in them. As a child, I loved everything train related, but lost touch with that passion as time went on. Your videos started me on a binge of train videos, reconnecting me with this passion. Inspiring me to become a conductor, and maybe one day, an engineer. I found a program to train (haha) me to be a conductor, and once I save enough money, Ill be on my way. I don't know exactly what got me hooked, the cinematics, the music, the story. Maybe it was a combination of those things. All I know is, if it weren't for you, I wouldn't be close to a career like this. I hope you make the sequel as good, if not better then, the original.

oh my gosh! my 9 yr old is in TEARS! He came into the living room after watching the final episode and was just beside himself. When I finally got him to calm down he told me I just had to see for myself. LOL!! Poor kiddo! I tried to explain but he didn't understand. That boy LOVE trains!!

boy if only they could make hollywood steam railroading movies like this. this is incredible stuff. and i cannot get enough of it. awsome work ron keep them coming of the mohawk that will never quit.

Neutral ending: 3124 runs away never to be seen again Bad ending: 3124 collides with a UP reefer train head on. Good ending: 3124 instead goes to San Juan Colorado and ends up on the San Juan west Worst ending: 3124 gets scrapped along with all NYC steam locomotives. Best ending: NYC spares 3124 for eternity. The ok ending: 3124 gets put on static display in a museum.

The whistle at the end made me cry.........Great series!!!

The Reaper Diesel is just trying to help the 844 to do its work to be behind.

I do have plans to make a continuation based on the diesel shown at the end. However, I do not have TRS 2012, nor the time to properly work on the series. I may be able to start serious work at the end of this year. Sorry for the long wait, but that's how things are right now.

Just remembered this again cuz i watched a video on the Niagara steam engine from high iron YT channel.. Man, this is still such an amazing series. I didn't know it really then, but this helped teach me its better to die on your 2 legs than to die on your knees from tyrannical powers. I wish this could have continued into what it would have been!!

It will be only a few years before we hear the sound of Mohawk 3001 whistle again hopefully it will sound like the whistle at the end. I hope there will be another series of the SP engine 8364.

Years later, I watched this series for the second time! Would be nice to see a happy version of the ending. But other than that, this was very well done! Something like this can be made into a live action movie, but there is one that I know of; “587 The Great Train Robbery.”

You know this series will and is probably be remembered as one of the greatest trainZ series ever made and I bet the second we get a better Mohawk some one is going to jump on making a remastered version of this film.

ron, i think you should make a video called "The SD-40 that wouldn't quit" No. 8364 could escape from the scrappers in california and head to EMD headquarters in ontario and be assisted by the spirits of engines and trains whose lives were ended in vain, such as 3124, a GG1, or perhaps a United Aircraft TurboTrain.

I loved this series. It was the greatest series than any other. I had a good idea, if another series was about a steam locomotive in the U.S. that surived to this day. But did the same thing #3124 did only this time she accomplishes her mission that #3124 could not. Steam holds a special place in my heart. Than those electric boxes on wheels.

If I remember correctly, the first route is Desert Wood, which can be grabbed from USLW's site. The second route is the Clovis 2 route from checkrail. The E units were distributed via email, but I unfortunately don't have them anymore. Let me just note that you can still make a series like this and not use any of the content shown in mine. Just a matter of being creative. ;)

To those wondering what the music that lasts a few seconds at the beginning of the chase is, It's the original (not season 0) Yugioh Theme.

I do hope you eventually do make sequel series for 8364. Given the limited material in the series, it's actually quite moving and inspiring. A nice piece of work I'd like to see more of.

good job that's a really good movie the part I like about this when the locomotive brakes and a diesel kept on going and then and then the steam locomotive on brakes and then pushes the diesel and then they it crash

You should make the mowawk that still didn't quit Episode name : the rebuild Basically it's where mowhawk is now a diesel and and helps other steamers to escape from scrap

Wait when the daylight steam engine passed by, did that get scraped too? Because it is a steam engine. And also are you gonna make season 2? I want to see more train simulator and fun and exiting chases. I have a idea for season 2. What if one of the diesels feels bad for the steam engines and helps them? That whould be great
