Argentina (World Champions), Uruguay and Canada also went through by winning on penalties. Yes, England should improve but wouldn’t it be hypocritical saying that England can’t beat Switzerland and now that they have you are saying they went through penalties. They are a part of the game. Acknowledging it won’t hurt. And this is knockout tournament, everybody wants to win and plays at their best and a bit of luck is needed.

Unfortunately for them they didn't or couldn't do that more against England or they might have won. Still, I expected more from England. @@rezo6212 Sometimes it takes a few games for a team to “click,” shake off the nerves & grow confidence. The problem for the England team has always been the weight of expectation on its shoulders. I guess you could the same about Brazil & Argentina, but they have a whole different approach to the game, they always look like they’re enjoying themselves & having fun out there. Maybe it’s the intense media attention on England that gets to them.
