After the destruction of Gurganj, Genghis Khan and his armies continue their conquest of the Khwarazmian Empire. Follow up sieges take place at the cities of Merv and Nishapur as the empire sits on the brink of total annihilation.

The Mongol Army didn't count 200,000. The entire population of Mongolia was 800,000. The Army had much fewer warriors. They didn't destry every city. They spared the cities which surrendered peacefully. Genghis Khan strived to establish friendly relations with Khwarism and to set trade with it. But Khwarisn executed the Mongolian envoys. It treated the Mongols as inferior. Invasion of Khwarizm was the last resort.

They resisted, so they paid the price. The Mongol envoys were very clear, submit and live, or resist and get deleted.

You Deserve more recognition. Really good quality vid, Would have thought you had 100,000 subs. although I'd recommend trying to use more animations and such. Would really help with viewer retention and watch time. Keep it up!

I just visited Otrar, Samarkand, Bukhara and Merv. Sultan Sanjar's mausoleum is impressive and one of the only buildings left standing in Merv.

I think that story its writting from the point of the ( the losers ) so i think that the numbers are to 5to 10 times minus .How many medieval cities have 100000 people?
