Hey bro! You should maybe try a three way swivel set up when you are having that snagging problem ..go with about six inch hook leader off the side swivel circle with same test as your main line then on the bottom swivel in line with your main line run a sinker line weighing less then your hook and mainline that way when that sinker gets snagged up on something it breaks off without everything else breaking and usually you still get your fish. Doesn't always work but it will up your percentages of getting the snag freed and only losing a sinker and not and not your whole setup .. that's how we do it In the northwest fishing for sturgeon .. you want to make your sinker line around 14 to 18 inches.. you should give it a try.....

MAN'NNNNN, Turbo, I use chicken fat, and the small pieces on the leg quarters. That's small and round with bone's in it. I season it, and put it in a jar with the lid on. And keep it for "months," and the catfish here in Columbus Ohio. MAN'NNNNN they can't get enough of it!!

When it first hit ,that was no gator. Im from South Louisiana and have caught plenty of gators in my time. They don't bump the line like that ,they just swim off and take the line down. You missed a good fish.

No more gator catching for me ,lol first I'm way to old at 63, and second, I'm up in Oklahoma, moved here 20 years ago , they ain't go no gators here , but the fishing is great, I'm learning a whole new concept of the art of fishing
