TheSunshineCorp I don't know man, the majority of their fans at this point are into raw lifting. They might not want to bring on the god of geared lifting to talk about a lot of incredible things that aren't all that relevant to most of us.
Stan is an inspiration, the way he does stuff is not to be taken lightly. Apply his way of life and one will succeed in life period. Mark is also an inspiration, funny yet humble. They give back and they are constantly looking to progress. In my world that's called being a winner. Cheers :)
I love when guests (Stan and Ed are two examples) don't find Silent Mike cute and funny. I feel like Mike is so used to everyone loving him, he gets really flustered and doesn't understand how to respond when guests don't put up with his bullshit
Ian Mcstruthers I don't see that at all really. Both of them know Mike pretty well by now. I didn't see either of them reacting to him negatively. I feel like Mike does a great job on the show.
Adam Evans Thanks! Mark kinda dropped a small fortune on the desk set up but it seems to have been worth it. Introing the episodes myself was suggested by several people including someone I was working with at RU-vid.
Jim McDonald Your intro personalizes things a bit more, works nicely.. Standing at the desk also makes more sense than sitting in those folding chairs you guys had lol
Another fantastic episode. The recent ones have been a massive step up in both terms of quality, and guests compared to ones a few months ago which I found were somewhat hit and miss. Also, checked out the Kooler website and it is pretty reasonably priced for what it is. Definitely a cool invention.
Jim McDonald Well you're definitely moving in the right direction. Awesome podcasts and general ST content lately, you've all been working hard at it and it shows!
Stan is unbelievably smart. I had the opportunity to attend a seminar he did by me last summer and it was a huge game changer in terms of my training and nutrition. Thank you guys for bringing him back on.
Stan is one of those guys that I just always learn something from. I don't know if I've ever listened to him that I didn't, at the very least, pick-up some little useful tidbit for my training.
Get Karl Erik Kristiansen on THE show!!!! Pleas......! Was in THE Norwegian strongman at 17!! 1200 somthing kg total!! Wr in 2014. He do not look VERRY jacked. Thanks fore a great podcast!! It geting me into lufting again, after a 10-15 years siesta
I used "the vertical diet" and put about 1 kg of muscle in 7 days. I would say about 100 gr of fat or less. I load on rice, lamb meat and eggs,( Vince Gironda style: i drink 2 shakes a day made of 5 eggs, 2 bananas, a bit of salt, no water. I use more hymalaian salt than before, oats only 2 times a week. Once a week potatos. Every day 2 green shakes made of kale and bananas.( for porassium vit c magnesium calcium ) The orange juice after training plus half teaspoon of salt. I didn t use whey protein or leucine - i have them, but didn t use them. I hope i add 1 kg more in a week. ( forgot to say that i don t use any "juice". But i eat nutritional yeast and i take b 1 & b 12, magnesium citrate, selenium, nascent iodine, macademia nuts for mono-unsaturated fats)7
“I don’t take stimulants,” lol but he’ll do selective hormone replacement therapy. There should be a constant disclaimer that these guys take performance enhancing drugs, I listen to Stan with a grain of salt. He wouldn’t be anywhere close to his size and strength without PED’s, none of these guys would.
How can these men talk for 1 hr and 40 minits about how to get strong and add weight and not mention steroids I no there ileagal but come on we all no stan is on jucie so is mark Jim ask the question for us please I like your show but all these episodes and not one mention of juice?
Why the heck would he mention that? That is not this powercast was about. Everyone in the show aswell as us outside watching knows Stan is on roids. It's the same thing with the mr olympia competitors, its the biggest bodybuilding competition in the world, everyone in the world knows that they are on illegal drugs, but does that makes us wanna confront it somehow? No, we just ignore the fact and dont talk about it. It's not an interesting topic anymore.
godzpower Well we DID actually talk about steroids and hormone replacement therapy in this episode and we do actually talk about them from time to time on the show. When we started the show, we acknowledged that Mark starred in a movie about steroids but that subject was not going to be a focus of this show. It would get repetitive and I see it as pandering to a particular audience. We might be more popular on RU-vid if we did, but we're dealing with a bigger world than that. I'm pretty sure that Stan has talked about the subject on other shows.
Silent mike is the only wise man on here, he is natural and healthy. Stan talks about food as being so important, get off the gear and silent mike would own u
Proly the part about his dad not gettin it up & his mom bein nuts and he turned out perfect. ha ha, Nah, I know them all. Buncha crap. Spoiled brat! Dads quiet, moms cool, poor ked!!! ha ha
Audio is horribly mixed - need significant compression and equal levels; I can barely hear Stan, which is the only reason people are watching. Couldn’t even listen to this. What a Shame
Nearly 74k views, it clearly wasn't that big an issue. This was recorded in 2015 by the way. The audio quality improved consistently over time until the show ended in 2018. The truth is that this audio is OVER-compressed, which was a pretty standard recommendation at that time. Check out my new show with Silent Mike "50% Facts." The audio is consistently better.
Always great listening to Stan, he's very articulate and always keeps it real. If at all possible, I think having Dan Green back on the powercast would be awesome especially in the midst of Boss of Bosses 2. Great vid as always Jim!
First, another great show. Thanks for all the effort put into making these. I am Interested in the box deadlift technique that Mikhail Koklyaev showed them. Any source(s) to find info?
Vanilla Gorilla pretty sure he has hinted at things he took and also pretty sure silent mike is the only natty guy at supertraining. Doesnt matter, Jim is the man behind all the great camera work and does all the important technical things on the powercast
Vanilla Gorilla If I remember correctly in episode #55 he mentions to Chris Bell that he experimented with gear while doing German volume training and gained about 13lbs of muscle that has never left him.
kifenehma3ak It's not bad for an hour but it does get old. Wasn't my idea. Someday I may get a stool to lean on. I guess we're burning calories while we're standing.
Everything awesome except the Rhinos bro science on cholesterol and animal fat. Hope he does some legit research soon and stop spreading lies through ignorance
