Hard to believe that just in my lifetime TV has gone from the size of a sofa to something I can hold in the palm of my hand! ✋️ ☺️

Morey Amsterdam was such a talent. He was great as Buddy on "The Dick Van Dyke Show". RIP Morey.

And believe it or not, he also wrote songs. "Rum and Coca-Cola" was one.

I can't believe I recognized Art Carney right away, even with the mustache, after not seeing The Honeymooners for 50 years! 🤣

Vic Damone's birth name was Vito Farinola. Early in his career he sang on a New York radio program. At the suggestion of Morey Amsterdam, Vito changed his name to Vic Damone. It only seems logical that Morey would feature Vito/Vic on his first telecast. Vic was only 20 when this show aired.

Jacqueline Susann, somewhat later the author of Valley Of The Dolls and other potboilers (her novels drew on her years in showbiz, and she even appeared in a Mannix episode at the height of her fame as a writer)

After finally hearing Yuck a Puck, I can see why Sally always made fun of Buddy for it😅

Whoa! I was just checking out super-old-time TV and while is on my laptop, I had the TV on and Art Carney came up in the Honeymooners. Considering the I had the Olympics on moments ago and lost the channel, that is a bit of random spookiness.

okay, I love Morey Amsterdam and also Art Carney, but man, these jokes are so not funny....stale.....just not funny......it's like there's no rythem to the comedy routine, it's all over the place, one subject to the next not even remotely tied together. Good Comedian's routine flow, this like shot gun approach of jokes hoping something lands.

Geez! what a crummy show. If i'd of been in the audience i'd of heckled Morey Amsterdam.

And he would have shredded you and his background included standup comedy where comics like him and Don Rickles and others learned how to dish it out to hecklers.
