🤔After years of seeing this again I realized that the Escalator scene was really to signify that a change of Life was coming Seth & Evan.The women coming into thier lives right before graduation prior to college taking the boys into 2 different directions away from each other. Seth's long look up at Evan tells you that Seth knows that him and Evan's time left together is coming to a End, that thier destiny's are changing. Seth remembering the precious brotherhood with Evan in that last stare on the Escalator. There are a lot of old friends I grew up with and have not seen in 30 years since I was a teenager. Some I have not seen are heard about in 35 years. This scene makes me think of a lot of old friends that were always genuine people.

@@Polled5s Well the Late Teen Years like 18-19 years old to 21 Years of age is the Time Line when your friends are moving on going to college, Joining the military, Moving away for work or some who married young at 18 or 20 years of age. Man I had great friends that I had Not seen since 8th grade because thier parents moved far away to different towns or states. Only so few I re-connected with on Facebook but most never joined any social media sites. Which caused me to only be on Facebook 5 years just to catch up with several people I knew. Once I caught up on Facebook I quit Facebook back in 2013. Without a doubt the adult life takes You away from that "World of Old friends, Ex-girlfriends"... Very much comparable to "The Wonder Years".... Those special years of your youth that are gone but the memories are there.

Went through a similar feeling when my best friend of 17 years and I graduated college. I stayed in Cincinnati and he went off to Indianapolis. It was definitely a very difficult change in my life not being right by each other’s side all the time.

One of my favorite movies, my only problem is that I’m surprised Becca and Seth didn’t reconcile after that p*nis incident in elementary. Of course I can’t blame them because that kid who pushed Seth’s drawings near Becca is responsible, I wonder how they would’ve felt around each other if they met again after the events of the movie.
