You've made an excellent video. You were really really lucky with the lighting and the timing of the clouds/afternoon time...the golden hour of photography with the nice golden shades on buildings...I've seen another one with the same route but the lighting ruined it. :-)

I am a native New Yorker and have been to the most beautiful cities in the world. As a kid, Istanbul was not on "the list". Thanks to the forward looking mayor in the 80's, this city is indeed the finest in the world !! DANKE !!

Istanbul is a lovely city! I was there for two weeks during winter. It was snowing and the weather was cold but it is different as I live in a tropical country. The interesting places are all the old buildings such as the Galata Tower, Hagia Sophia. The Bosphorus Cruise was also nice.

Der Ort, wo ich hingehöre. Aber Istanbul ist die faszinierendste Stadt der Welt. Danke, dass du mich mitgenommen hast. Danke, dass ich jedes Jahr meinen Urlaub in Istanbul so in Erinnerung rufen kann. Achhhhh...:( Aber sag mal, warum seit ihr über die asiatische Seite geflogen? sorry, zu spät gesehen! ;-) es gibt zwei anflugrouten je nach windrichtung, wenn der wind von marmara kommt, fliegen sie über die ganze stadt, ich wohne in gayrettepe und hab dann alle zwei minuten einen flieger über mir. wenn der wind, wie er meistens dort weht, vom schwarzen meer kommt, dann fliegen sie relativ langweilig übers maramara meer an. man sieht die nordwestlichen ausläufer von istanbul in etwa 1500-2000m bevor der flieger aufs meer zur landeschleife ansetzt... toitoitoi!
