You think that's fun? There's also the local culture of flagellations and flagellates in the country too. At my grandparents' home of Pampanga, there's plenty of them around Easter time, and though the Catholic Church has tried to persuade them to stop doing it, a lot of flagellates believe they're buying miracles.
