Yes, it's brutal, but I wouldn't mind losing a tournament like this. It's better than donking away my stack.

Rather lose like that instead of a 2 outer on the river.

Facts, that's much worse. And this wasn't brutal, at all. Dude just won $600,000+

No joke, I was watching this on highlights while running treadmill in a hotel. The flop nearly got me killed.

I would have just limped with the AK and folded on the flop.

This is just a cooler, probably the best way to go out of a tournament rather than making mistakes or your opponent putting a nasty bad beat on you. Just my opinion.

I think worst is when u got say AK, KK or AA. N some one wins cause the entire flop gave him a straight or a fush. Like u go all in on AK ,KK. The villian has Jspade-Jclubs. N board is 7,9,10,K,8. or its blanks but 4 out of 5 are clubs hitting the flush. Ive seen this alot more than i would expect. So many times ive seen the 2,4,5,10,3 n your A gets straight. Ive seen that more than the flop hitting 4 of 5 with the same suit.

I’d much rather lose like that than lose with AK vs 44 or something shit that usually happens 😅
@jimmydane34

I mean statisitcally AK vs pocket pairs is always gunna be a coin flip. The stat of u hitting ANY type of pair is low. So pocket pairs already has the advantage..... When u watch a 8 hour poker session. Prob 60-70% of the time (there is def a stat somewhere online so im just completely guessing the stat) but 70% of the flop there isnt an A or K on the board thus losing to pocket pairs isnt that brural. In my opinion
@jimmydane34
@jimmydane34 2 года назад
60 is low. Im sure its like 80% of the time.u dont get an A or K on the board. Idk......ima google it now cause im completely whiffing haha. But my pocket pairs vs AK argument still stands

I quit playing poker at card rooms, mostly because I wasn't good enough, but also because of flops like that. Card rooms make more money the more hands and faster they are dealt. Flops like that are simply due to horrible shuffling. At least in cardrooms...maybe not in these tournaments but I got tired of seeing pairs flopped. The odds are 16%, 1 in 6 hands, that a pair is flopped...and I would sit there and watch 5..6...7 straight hands with pairs flopped. That's like 40,000 to 1 odds on 6 hands in a row...7 in a row is almost 250,000 to 1. It got so ridiculous that it made it easy to quit. I wasn't winning anyway.
@Vahn421
@Vahn421 2 года назад
That's a shame. The odds of a bad shuffle are way, WAY less likely than online poker being rigged. And when a shuffle goes wrong, there's a 50% it goes wrong in your favor, so it's not like your opponent gets any favoritism... unlike online poker.

@@Vahn421 I started playing just for the high hand/ bad beat jackpots. That didn't work either

By my calculations, flopping quad kings in this situation would be about 1 in 17,296. Odds of flopping quad kings OR aces would be about 1 in 8,648.

@@LoudounDemocrat player’s perspective so not including dead hands. You could include dead hands, it just doesn’t feel authentic to me. So 3/48 * 2/47 * 1/46
