coming back to say i played this deck on mtgo for monthes and got many wins and learned the lines very interesting idea was super fun, thanks for the idea
Absolutely love the channel! I have been binging your content and incorporated your ideas into my decks. This really inspired me and I also took your advice on adding blue with the Ghost of Ramirez DePietro and Tormod, the Desecrator instead of Egon. The blue helps with mill a bunch
Personally, I won't be using egon. Granted I haven't played the deck but I doubt the 1 black for constant mil is vital to black. As even just a random penta color commander (I think) will be better just for access to even a single different color. Although your deck tech has given a foundation for many ideas.
Nadier, Agent of the Duskenel and Miara, Thorn of the Glade mono black elves partner EDH? Inspiration struck after I watched the deck tech video, and I brewed it! I'm missing a couple elves from Kaldheim and some other stuff, but I scoured my collection and built my own version. I took Ayara, first of Locthwain out of my other mono black and I took Coat of Arms out of my 60-card goblins.
Every time I watch one of your deck techs or quick takes I’m impressed. I was fairly disappointed with Egon before, but here I am debating if I should build this on Cockatrice just to try (since I can’t afford it irl T-T). Not totally certain I could manage to play this monstrosity, but there’s only way to find out 👍🏻👍🏻
Thank you so much for the great content! Can you help me with this question? In your video, you say necropotence is expensive and viewed as CEDH by some, and may not be OK with all play groups. At the same time you include Yawgmoth's Will should be included, but it is 2-3 times the price as necropotence. Is it just the power level of necropotence that people have an issue with?
great question. i made a video exactly about this topic you can check out: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-erNvQSPEiRI.html. price isn't always the deciding factor and necropotence is often seen as a card that is just way too powerful and some even think it should be banned. the only reason it isn't more expensive is because it's been reprinted alot. yawgmoth's will, as i talk about in the video is a card that was seen as a super busted card since it's printing but has sort of been pushed aside because of the increasing power level of cards in the format recently. for me personally i don't have an issue with either, but i've seen many people have issue when a necro gets played in a casual game and never seen anyone have an issue with yawgmoth's will.
I’m building Ghost of Depietro/Tormod Turbo selfmill/ exile from your graveyard deck and Egon can really work with Mirror of Fate to put back your wincon into your deck. Its kinda janky with Mirror-mad phantasm and a Zombie theme.
@@edhdeckbuilding Is there a chance we might see that version of this type of deck on your channel? I'd like to try this style of deck, but the Egon version is far out of a price range for my playgroup.
What a cool deck idea. I love how the flavor text on Stunning Reversal is basically the motto for the deck, lol. People certainly wouldn't be expecting to play against a deck like this. How do "you win the game" cards (triskedecaphile, thassas oracle, second sun, etc) from opponents interact with cards that don't allow you to lose the game?
Man, I just fell in love with your channel. What interesting deck techs! Any chance on some interesting techs on Hamza or Belbe? I'm trying to build a deck where I cheat Eldrazi.
@@edhdeckbuilding by curiosity when are you planning to show this new version? And where do you start when try to build these kinds of funky deck? I've tried, but I never know where to start since there is a lot less reference points than "normal" deck.
"As Lich enters the battlefield, you lose life equal to your life total." which means your life becomes zero. also i don't care what tappedout says, this deck is ridiculously janky. you shouldn't be taking your casual/competitive advice from a websites A.I.
