It featured on a youtube channel called fasterproms. The RU-vid channel owner co owns a car tuning garage in Florida with cletus McFarland. They drove that same car.
You seriously can't tell that you're looking at a supercharged LS engine sitting in place of the original polaris (actually gm) inline 4 cylinder? It obviously has a 4 wheel conversion and an exoskeleton resembling a Corvette body.
Son #1, That Cotton-picker ain't no Slingshot! Who would build such a monster out of the center section of a normally 4 cylinder Cruise platform! I like it, I like It!
Polaris slingshot is normally a trike (3 wheel vehicle) roughly costing $26000. That owner probably got a trike and modified it to be a 4 wheeler. And it depends in what state rules are to like a motorcycle. They speed like a ninja bike seen them around Missouri.
Mods (I don't know names) First the obvious one's Roll cage, and the quad conversion, the motor, wheels, and the spoiler. Body removal, probably to fit the roll cage. Racing seats (I think), E brake, even the floorboard is after market. The majority of the interior looks aftermarket as well. My estimate is that it is 95% aftermarket if not 100.
Maybe you could do your own "B Is For Build" style crazy build and vlog the progress. For as interesting as your movie cars are, a custom build would be off the hook. Being at SEMA is the perfect place to make the connections to sponsor some of the build anyway, if you're into that kind of thing.
That looks awesome. I agree with you on the orange powdercoat on the cage? Space frame? Shell? Or imagine wrapping it in that flex body shell stuff that BMW used on their concept car.
Kirsty Sinclair def is a sling shot you can see it right there. The cage is shaped like a corvette and it has a corvette engine. But that’s a sling shot with a 4 wheel conversion with corvette parts
I built that car at my shop in Holiday FL Bulletspeedanddesign.com the engine is a an LS3 430 hp crate with an Elgin 1840p Cam and whipple SC made 505 wheel hp at 7 psi in 2nd gear Tuned by Jeremy Foramato at FasterProms in Clearwater FL the initial build took 73 days and went to SEMA 2018 the car was on coils then. We put air ride on it in 2019 oh and the trans is a 4L65E Thank You for the video sir
Not sure it's street legal with 4 wheels. All kinds of safety things change when you add a wheel. That's why Polaris gets away with calling it a motorcycle even though it is a side by side with a car drive train in it. There was a BMW based GGQuad that was super cool but they could never get it legal for the road with 4 wheels. It was more motorcycle than the Slingshot.
I wonder how he's getting away with a Texas motorcycle license plate on a 4 wheel vehicle? Normally, the Slingshot is 3 wheeled and can be registered as a motorcycle, but with 4 wheels it should be considered a car!
