This is indeed the most epic vegan ice cream taste test I ever did see.

In order for a product to be labelled as "ice cream" it has to contain a minimum of 10% milk fat, and only have a certain amount of air mixed in with it. So even some non-vegan products can't be marketed as "icecream" and are instead labelled as "frozen dairy desserts" and such.

I have the PB & Cookie Ben & Jerry's in my freezer right now, it's sooo good! I'll have to look out for those Haagen Dazs flavours 😍

Another vote for Nada Moo. Their ingredient list is (typically) simple and their ice cream just has a really classic gourmet flavor.

If you guys have the chance, I'd definitely recommend you try the Talenti Peanut Butter Fudge Sorbetto and the SoDelicous Cashew Milk Salted Caramel Cluster. Those are our favorites. We're in a tiny little podunk town, so we have an hour drive if we want to find new vegan products. We're not exactly the usual demographic here. The upside to that is that it gives me the motivation to make almost everything from scratch. There must be a few of us here, because the owner of the restaurant where I work approached me about developing a whole vegan menu, and it's been selling really well! Keep up the great videos. Love you guys and it's great to see Theo. He seems like he always brings happy energy anywhere he goes.

There's no where near as much variety as this in the UK, but my favourite is a brand called Booja Booja. It's pretty expensive, about £6 ($8) for a pot, but well worth splurging on. But we're finally getting vegan Ben & Jerry's at the end of the month!

I always have very ripe bananas in my freezer. My recipe for amazing " nice cream " is 4 frozen bananas broken up into the vitamix adding 2 tablespoons of PB2 powered peanut butter and 1 tablespoon of cocoa powder and 1 tablespoon of maple syrup. Your videos are always so well done and fun to watch.

Can't wait to see more of these in the UK. We eat a lot of Swidish glance right now. It is soya based but it is super creamy and just tastes like vanilla ice cream. Many of my Omni friends enjoy having it with us ☺

My favorite Non dairy Ben & Jerry's is the Fudge brownie Yum... The Breyers Vanilla Peanut butter Yum those are the only two I have tried. I want to try the Breyers Oreo too! I always find myself smiling through your videos! Over here in the Netherlands we have Professor Grunschnabel's vegan ice cream! I think it's easily on the same level with the best ice cream I've ever had, which is saying something, because I've also eaten lots of gelato in Italy (before I became vegan). It's all coconut-milk based, and they offer a lot of exotic flavours. My favorite is "Cafe el Khatib", which they bill as "bittersweet Arabica coffee with cardamom and Bourbon vanilla in coconut milk). Great stuff! So far as I know, the company doesn't do any non-vegan stuff, which means I'm not supporting animal cruelty indirectly by buying their products (as I am if I buy B&J, for example). (I wonder how sustainable all these coconut-based products are, however.)

Not sure if they carry it in the US but in Canada we have So good Cashew milk ice cream. Theeeeee best! The texture is spot on to dairy ice ceeam.

The trader joes soy creamy is my absolute favorite vanilla and I love the so delicious salted caramel cashew bars. I like the luna and Larry's coconut bliss mint chocolate chip a lot but the texture is not quite what I want

Ben and Jerry's isn't the first major company to do vegan ice cream. Unilever has been making it for several years under the Swedish Glacé brand.

Its actually federally illegal for non dairy to name itself after dairy products. In order to be considered and labeled as ice cream its required to have so much % of dairy (same applies to other dairy products)

Trader Joe's soy based cherry chocolate and So Delicious's cashew based salted caramel are the best I've had *highly* recommended

I have to agree with Duncan on the Bryers vanilla peanut butter ice cream it does have a weird mute ending to the flavoring it just ends it doesn't have an aftertaste.

You should've gotten the cherry chip soy trader joe's non dairy ice cream, that one is realllly good. But I can imagine the vanilla flavor wouldn't be strong enough to overpower the soy taste. My favorite will ALWAYS be NadaMoo!!!

My favorite Vegan Ice cream is the raw vegan kind I got whilst shopping at Mothers Market in California, but since I don't live in CA anymore and have no access to any raw vegan ice creams I have to go with So Delicious brand frozen desserts. My favs are Dark Chocolate Truffle & Salted Caramel, both using cashews as the base. Then, for Almond based ice cream I go for the Mocha Almond fudge. I also tried the vanilla & the Chocolate peanut butter with the coconut base, but for me, it just tastes weird or tainted by the coconut flavor.

Van Leeuwen tastes great in their stores, my favorite ice cream. However, sadly some weird magic happens when they put it in pint cartons and sell it in other stores, I couldn't enjoy a single pint I bought at the grocery store :(

Fun (relevant) story: I asked my mom to buy me the PB & Cookies and she said no, so I bought a pint of chocolate Van Leeuwen's instead (yes, it was $9.49). In hindsight, I realize that I could have just bought the Ben & Jerry's.
