I don’t know if this will end up being a factor in the prices of textured cards in the future, but it’s worth keeping in mind the the textured cards in this set are both rarer and have more variation than the previous ones from double masters. So while in 2x2 a 4th of all textured cards were any given card, CMM will have the odds be at a tenth.

I saw you guys scroll to Extraplanar Lens and immediately reacted with "Oh no, you poor child... This video is already dated." You can start picking up that lens for $40, and I remembered looking at that yesterday. And the other cards are still dropping like flies. I unironically think the spoilers hitting as early as they did, all the openings hitting youtube, and especially Whatnot selling early, have DRAMATICALLY impacted the price points pre-release of the set. I could unironically see a Jeweled Lotus selling for $40 come the release. The borderless itself is sitting at $90 right now as of release of this video. Singles are lookin REAL appealing right about now... In about two months.

Mangara the Diplomat is a great buy at around $1.70 atm. I doubt it'll drop below a dollar and there's def some room for growth.

In general I agree but I sold endurance shortly after release for about $20. Last I checked it was like $50 lol. I hit urza's saga, scalding tarn, misty rainforest, and all 5 elements in one box lol. Only box I've ever bought just to crack packs.

I'm not sure it'll dip that far since it's the first time we've seen it in foil in CMM and it's the chase variant but it'll go down a bit for sure. I'm surprised I can get frame break finale foil for 30 something right now so anything is possible with these

I remember I bought up all the bowmasters I could for 1k when it previewed and ended up with exactly 50 of them somehow, some full art and base set versions. They were like $20 each. Pretty easy flip

Am I missing something? Cause 50x20 is 1000 so if you spent 1k, ended up with 50 and sold them at 20 you end up right where you started. Sounds like a lot of effort to accompish nothing.

it's not about the most expensive cards. It's all about the average price of top 10 rares (not mythics). That's the main factor that can determine the expected value of a draft box (the only box they should print imho). This is why sets with good rare land cycles tend to age better than sets without.

I bought textured lotus for $600 😅 I definitely think the textured cards are harder to find in commander masters versus double masters 2022. Way more variants too if you hit a textured in commander masters so it’s harder to even get the more valuable textureds, lotus, ur dragon, selvala. All things considered, sooo many playable cards in this set that are used in so many decks, even a lot of the “bulk” are fantastic cards too.

Foil extended jeweled lotus from legends is 450.00. Eteched dockside? Imperial seal is not as playable as lotus and dockside.

I think Jake is right on the Jeweled Lotus (textured foils). They look like absolute shit. Just a blurry image. Foils are garbage long term they always get bent. The only way this holds value is you get a PSA straight out of the pack and the case doesn't give enough room for the card to bend.

Dont like theyre now again seem to have cards as chase that very much remind of the chase variant from a different game. I mean, etched looks cool on some cards, but com on - theyre not thaat cool at all, maybe to some FaB players that still play magic but idk, has not the best taste.. does mtg has to cover all the other games to survive or just easy mind stuff? More originality would suit this game. Like with the full art kinda cards from this set here. Looking great. How do you guys like foil etched ? One of the good variants between all these different styles or one of the many that are too much? Glad to see the archive again soon!! ❤

SO FUNNY THE RUDY COMMENT> RUDY PUMPS HIS BAGS NON STOP. dude is spot on he didnt buy the draft boxes so he will not pump them. Dude is a salesman and dropping cardboard on so many people. So sad. Last video he even reccomended stores to open product for the singles if the price dips.....lololol HE WOULD NEVER DO THAT

Wow.... new textured cards..... BIG DEAL! Wizards will print so many of these down the road where NOTHING is special. Don't believe this hype. Remember that foils, Planes Walkers, Mythics, Serialized cards, Legends inserts, just to name a few were so special. Those so-called special Profile cards look like garbage. There was not much effort put into these cards. Thank you for the video Jake and Joel.

1. We all know the majority of prices will drop, they always do. 2. Imperial seal isn't a good card, it was expensive due too scarcity, we had this conversation last year. 3. Rudy didn't buy draft boxes and sold out his collectors boxes. 4. Ragavan's popularity in modern is down and had a lot of reprints in the last 365, hence the price drop. Plus most constructed playsets DON'T want foil /etched

I am commenting from 6 months in the future. The card prices have all gone to zero. Wizards has reprinted all of them 6 times since this product released, magic cards have become worthless! I'm traveling back in time to try to alter the future but there is nothing that can be done, they already have the 15th reprint of Ragavan lined up.
