My favorite hands-down will always be Animal Kingdom Lodge. The food, the peace and quiet, the animals, the atmosphere, it’s amazing and makes me want to go become a Disney vacation club member just to have that as my home resort.
We are going for our first Disney trip this coming July. After much obsessing and research we booked at the Wilderness Lodge. I was so excited when it was #1 that I cheered out loud!!
Absolutely love the quietness of AKL! It is our favorite resort. The distance doesn't bother us. Contemporary is just too loud for us. Poly was just ok.
I totally agree with you, after all day continous stimulation at the parks it is so nice just sit back and watching the animals or take part in the endless hotel activities. CMs seems to always be the best in AKL as well.
This video was great, but I really love the in-person hotel reviews. Molly did a great one for Universal a while ago and it still has me thinking we might stay in one of their hotels for part of our visit. I hadn't even considered it before her video.
I look at a Disney world vacation like taking a vacation to Europe. For many people, it’s a once in a lifetime experience because it’s so expensive. Chances are, once you go, you’re not likely to return again, at least not for a very long time.
So…people are confusing Wilderness Lodge with Fort Wilderness Campground - there IS NO INTERNAL BUS SYSTEM at Wilderness Lodge! The only way you’d have to deal with that is IF you traveled next door to Fort Wilderness!
From ex-cast member, Wilderness was definitely my favourite Deluxe purely because the theme is unbeatable. One of my most priced memory was watching Pocahontas and eating s’mores at the nearby campsite too. Surprised Animal Kingdom got no mention, it is another beautifully themed hotel with a zoo in the middle (what?!)
Too far from everything, and you can MAYBE see animals from the balcony of a savanna room that you pay extra for.. stayed there once and that was good enough for me. Much better options in the Deluxe Resort category. (My opinions, not facts, obviously)
Honestly zero reason to stay at YC/BC now that there’s no Magical Express next year unless you want to pay through the nose for the pool. The resort layouts are horrible and the quick service is atrocious. Just stay at Swan/Dolphin and save money and get/use Marriott points tbh.
Worst take I've seen in a long time lol.. because of Magical Express being gone? What does that have to do with anything? Magical Express didn't ONLY go to YC/BC and nowhere else.. It's called uber, it cost me 45 bucks to uber from Orlando Airport to Yacht Club. If 45 bucks is too much for you than Disney World shouldn't be a place you vacation. Resort layouts are atrocious? They are literally positioned between two parks within walking distance, sky liner right nearby, and quick service options at the market place next to yacht club gift shop has plenty of good options and so does the Beach Club market. There's also Ale & Compass for quick sit down buffet meals. The fact that you said stay at Swan & Dolphin instead means nobody should take you seriously whatsoever.
You guys only ranked four hotels? They have over twenty. For a video this size, you'd be better off doing a ranking of the Universal Orlando Resort hotels. Maybe you should do that next.
Hello fellow Yacht Club lovers.. I thought I was alone in loving Yacht Club the best outta all deluxe resorts in Disney. Glad to see I'm not alone in that.. Yacht Club location is the best, hands down. Near not just 1 but 2 parks within walking distance (or boat ride if ya feelin lazy lol), easy access to tons of different dining options between yacht, beach and boardwalk restaurants all nearby, sky liner easy access nearby, best pool in all of Disney, elegant and quaint theming, and I prefer Yacht over Beach because it's smaller and less crowded and less spread out than Beach Club is because of Beach Club being a DVC resort. Every time i stay at a different deluxe resort i always find myself saying "would still rather be staying at Yacht Club" lol
If you stay at yacht/beach u get a paper bracelet and have ur name in their list for entry to stormalong bay. I think it should be this way as it’s expensive to stay at these and people at value resorts should be turned away. This is coming from an AP that has stayed in value/mod/dlx resorts.
Contemporary retheme is odd. Not loving the aesthetic. Wilderness Lodge has always been a favorite. If Riviera was near Magic Kingdom I would love it more because it’s stunning.
@@TJMatball yup.. GF overrated for the price, better to just visit instead of stay there. And AKL location does suck. Stayed there 3 nights and paid for savanna view and didn't see any animals from my balcony, not even once.
I’m a huge fan of everything All Ears but I have to say that your facts are wrong regarding the Wilderness Lodge. There is no internal bus and the resort is not “HUGE”. It appears you are confusing this with Ft Wilderness. I’m a little disappointed in the incorrect info provided - especially if someone new to WDW watches this.
