Kileleshwa, Lavington and Kilimani are CERTAINLY NOT the most expensive neighbourhoods in Kenya. It's important to tell factual narratives. Check on places as Karen, Old Muthaiga & Kitisuru/Spring Valley areas. These are the more serious addresses. That said, nice penthouse. Can only work hard to own one in the future.
As an ex Kenyan living in luxury home in Canada ( world leader in exquisite housing and civil infrastructure), I find this most expensive penthouse really dated and poor in architectural design, except the outdoor area. The wood look, window trim and door are more for wilderness country cottage homes. How about clean white nitrite look? The windows should be ceiling to floor all glass, the balcony doors should be double pane glass sliding door, the cabinet hardware should be soft closing, N.American crown molding strong recommended, wash sinks can be recessed in quartz counters, stairs look like in a warehouse, balcony walls should be higher for child safety. I can go on but suggest builder fly to Canada view how to build state of art homes all Canadians live in. Or view Canadian and American homes, condo apartment and townhomes on RU-vid. Nice Nairobi penthouse but I wouldn’t pay more than US$200K as I would gut it all entirely and renovate it N.American style, most materials imported from Canada and designed by a Canadian builder. Sorry if I offended the excited agent.
Let’s agree Afrikan traveller that the penthouse was the worst kind in Kenya and for that price it’s not going to sell we have apartments that are way better than that penthouse.
Such a hideous apartment. If it's taken down from the 13th floor & set on the ground floor, it'll go from 75M to 7.5M max. The realter also suffers from verbal diarrhea... Ends up throwing shade on a property he's supposed to be promoting. Also, whoever did those prison style windows just needs to get covid. I'm done now...
75 MILLION is impractical for such an establishment. That money is more than enough to buy land and build a proper six bedroom house.....this is insane.
Kileleshwa, Lavington, Kilimani are at best upper middle class areas and a few affluent people live here as well. The rich live in exclusive mansions in Muthaiga, Karen, Runda, Kitisuru and other exclusive enclaves of Nairobi.
This house is just overpriced, it doesn't match its price, Mr. Boris has showed us much better looking houses with considerable prices. Thank you though for the show.
For 75m Its safe to say that whoever buys this property is getting ripped off. One can spend that money on land AND build a world class home with high end materials.
Since i don't own or have one its good however, there was room for improvement like much could have been done there are better designed rental houses than this out there...this being a penthouse i expected much more than this.
The most expensive areas would def be Karen,Muthaiga,Upperhill has the most expensive land per sq mile. Immediately i saw this house i thought it has an Asian type of finishing, not my style at all, the wall paper looks cheap. The price is overatted 100%.. With that price you can get the gorgeous chocolate condos that Boris reviewed sometime back or top up a bit and get the Karen, Deer park mansions that have a private swimming pool and verandah
@@mahbubmo im sure it's negotiable...but some people with money to afford it can buy it, upgrade it, and sell it for 90 to 100 mill. Most people see what is and not what can be
this penthouse is not even that good...they are better penthouses and duplex even within the same neighbourhood.. this dude is a sales man thats all... that neighbour isn't the most expensive ...the same amount can get you a stand alone in the same neighbourhood ..he lied...
Instead of that fountain below the staircase you could have put something else like a plant, big fan of the 200 year old Japanese trees. Could do the magic
This house was so poorly decorated. And if you're selling a house that costs that much, isn't there something in the budget for staging? You can afford a fridge and sheets at least, gosh. The rooms are also waaaaaaay too small for that price. Are you actually telling me someone with 75 MILLION Kenya shillings is going to spend their money on this? Boris overexaggerated so much omg hata nimeshindwa 😂 We have much better to offer please. Don't believe this guy!
The penthouse is overprized bigtime, 75M is a lot. This is why most common Kenyans will never own houses in Nairobi because the prize is crazy. Even 40m for this unit is a no no!! If you are really on the ground you will know the kind of a house that money will get you, not this one unless you are a foreigner.
He needs to improve on : poise, slow down while talking , listening skills , not overtalk prospects, watch real estate shows to deepen his vocabulary and pronounce words properly. But for the average kenyan, he is ok.
First of all that exchange rate is wrong. $750k is at least N350m and won’t get you anything close to this in VI, Ikoyi, Eko Atlantic or Phase 1. Nice one though, this is really reasonable.
@@StevenNdukwu yea that’s true but I was comparing pent house prices. I’m sure a terrace in that area of Nairobi will also be cheaper than one in VI or Ikoyi.
I saw the most beautiful how in Kenya sometime back on this channel and now I just watched the most ugly house in Kenya! The interiors and finishing on this apartment is below standard for a property of such calibre. Then let's not talk about that staircase and those wallpaper! Only good thing I love about this apartment is the location and views.
Kileleshwa, kilimani & lavington are not hot addresses. Back in the 90s maybe but now it serves middle class and crooks. Nyari, karen, runda, kitusuru, kiuna, spring valley etc are the hottest addresses.
The apartment is overpriced even for the location. The interior leaves alot to be desired , at 75m you shouldn't be forced to change almost everything inside. Even the staircase is 3rd rate. Small windows , bad color scheme and galvanised sheet roofing - everything that could go wrong is going wrong. I wonder who would pour 75m into that monstrosity.
I love Steven from the best houses in Nigeria I watched it once with my mom and now it's can't breathe anytime i meet with her is just build me one kind of the houses shown by this guy am like mum do you know how much they cost? LoL
The interiors of the place make it look like Eastleigh. The house isn't worth more than 20M. Its a rip off. Steve you were misadvised on where to get good houses.
I've noticed this guy has been criticizing everything since he arrived in Nairobi. It started with the weather, then food, and now the architecture wow! Nothing is good enough for him
That’s not fair. You guys from Kenya are too judgmental. I remember when African traveler a RU-vidr from Kenya was in Ghana, he complained about the weather as well.
The property is way below it's price and not monies worth by many standards except for view and that's not enough for the price. For me it's like robbing someone off huge cash. There are too many several things that could have made it a great property and money's worth.
@@StevenNdukwumy dear brother i KNOW Kenya and can tell you a lot about Nairobi and for instance it's the cold in Nairobi that's making them use wooden floors .. Kenya is a very beautiful Country and i have plans for buying properties there also and i have been visiting for about 12 years, i have stayed about a year also. Location yeah great but it's not monies worth honestly trust me. You have better ideas that can help them if they'll listen to you am sure.
lets do the math 75m is the cost, this house from its address can command at most maybe 500k a month. and this is a very generous renter. so in a year that is about 6m. to break even the house has to be rented full time for about 12 years. judging from the to let signs i see on the area this house is it would be near impossible to get a renter month on month for such a price. of course with the wash wash saga maybe just maybe but that is a very slim target market. for 750k one can buy an apartment in a more business friendly country like dubai or even the us and the roi would be far better than here.
The pent house is not worth it too much noise in colors plus there are better penthouse in Kenya worth showing that’s the worst penthouse I have ever seen in my life and add to that they used iron sheet on top which is very cheap.why would I pay 75mil for such I can get a townhouse in Karen .Also correction Karen and Muthaiga and upper hill are the most expensive places to own a house .The places he mentioned are expensive but not as much as Karen,Muthaiga, kitsuru,Runda, there land alone will easily cost you 1m USD.
No value for money,,easily the most overrated penthouse have come across with a clearly exaggerated price tag. With such kind of cash you get yourself an exquisite 5-bed detached townhouse complete with a swimming pool and half acre lawn in the upscale leafy suburbs of Nairobi🤭🤭
I think the realtor should have chosen his words better. The decor might not be for everyone but it was clearly approved by the owner and the interiors company. I think both parties are highly insulted by this. Someone put this sweat equity & a lot of money into this project.
Poor job. The areas mentioned are neither the most expensive nor the most lavish. The title is also click bait and is not reflective of the best Kenya has to offer. To the house, immediately the showing starts it’s a disappointment. The house is also poorly staged. FAIL
See how Stephen stumbles to answer what $750k would get us in Nigeria because the truth is sad. In the nation's capital city $750k would only get you a terrace within the city center and if you want a stand alone house, you would have to go farther out of the city just as Stephen mentioned about Lagos. Lagos is voted the "Worst in the world in the quality of urban living index" according to an article in Forbes. Horrible transportation, political instability and no safety. Which has quickly become the image of the entire country. Its a sad fact that our currency is weaker, our country is unsafe, unstable, volatile and standard of living is freaking high. Thank you Stephen for your videos I'm happy to see that we have options in Africa 🌍 God bless us all
how is the status of ownership...and how is the government policy about property purchase for foreigner ..probably this kind of information should be included
