The situation with the Jumbo, seems like most likely, one of two things. 1, maybe he really did mean to aim right there, and that little smidge of knowledge just worked really well to his favor. After all, with a 75, at least from my experience, you gotta make your shots count. Or 2, it was purely luck/accidental. It seems like her was aiming right for where the camera sits for you, so, he may very well have been aiming to either hit the barrel, or more likely been trying to hail mary a shot for the breech, and just got a lucky/accidental miss, that popped right through that little perfectly available spot. Either way, i see this as a win, not only for him, but for you and frankly the rest of us. Since sure, we all COULD go and check that stuff our selves, but because it happened here, it means more people will learn about it, and for someone like me who may not use or encounter this 122 all that often, now if i ever do, and i have something a bit "underpowered", if nothing else, i can give it a go.

I’ve had a lot of fun lately playing the 2C bis at top tier. You should give it a shot, it eats more darts than an Abrams.

Speaking of useful HMGs, a fun challenge would be to play the BTR-152A or the newer BTR-152D. 2 (or 4) 14.5mm guns with 49mm of pen are really strong against both planes and tanks at low tier.

One feature I would like to see in WT is the option to range multiple weapons at the same time. For example, if you Range the 75mm with the M3 Lee for 500m, it will use the same elevation on the 37mm and have the gun way overshoot. So it would be nice if you had the option, so that ranging 500m, would also range 500m on all non-coaxial guns.

That situation with the m36 is my full war thunder experience every time I play. Playing the game perfectly only to put myself in a position where I don’t have 1 degree of depression, or hit a invisible wall I can’t see through the gun sight

I'd just really love to see more low-tier planes. Like the P-66 Vanguard for the US & the WM-23 Ezüst Nyíl for the Italian tree (Labelled as a Hungarian vehicle, or course).

I recently spaded it. It's fun but as you said it often doesn't work, but whenever it does work, it's absolute chad of tank destroyers. I also use APDS+HEAT-FS combo because at this caliber 4,5kg APDS is quite effective and at 6.7 you often meet tanks which aren't easily penned by 122mm APHE/APBC and that extra velocity and penetration power often saved my life

It would be fun to see you do a vid on the 90/53 m43, it only has 8 rounds but if you're skilled you can do ridiculous amounts of damage

You gotta play the way meaner younger brother. The SU-122P. The same 122 as the IS-2 1944 but at 5.7. It can bounce 88’s pretty reliably and will absolutely clown on tigers and panthers.

It’s an amazing long range sniper with its HEAT-FS and APDS combined with the 2+km rangefinder

I find it funny you end up playing it like a lot of World of Tanks players usually do with their Russian/Soviet casemate TDs when their team collapses; just running around trying to sneak up and being cheeki breeki.

@Spookston When you have the hiccups, say out loud and very calmly "I am not a fish." It's stupid but it works.

When PLA was questioned about their MBTs are lacking gun mantlet, they answered "it's just tiny spot" and continue to develop and produce the ZTZ-99A series, on the other hand, Russia start to care about that 'tiny spot' as you can see the sudden appearance of something unusual on T-90M turret as well as T-14's despite the turret is unmanned. It's probably the same reason why British army also start putting gun mantlet on their combat vehicle since Chally 2.

Loved the video but that kill on the M36 @14:14 is just my life in the U.S lineup at that BR. So because of this I would love to see you play the either of the U.S M36's.

i absolutely love this tank same with the 279, the Russian casemates are absolutely fun, but when i saw the 75 jumbo oneshot you like that, i just couldnt even begin to believe thats possible with such a low penning gun. if that happened to me i would just leave the game and eat a bucket of icecream at 2:46 AM.

Dear Mr. Spooky. If you wish to play a vehicle to suffer. I recommend getting help....or playing the Stormer HVM in War Thunder. It works, but you will have to be lucky. (It has a Minium range of ~1.4 miles and is now 10.3 because it got scouting).

Can you play IS-2 1944? Once ot was at 6.0 but got uptiered to 6.3 and recently to 6.7 and the only reson being is that Tiger I also got uptiered. Even though its much higher BR then it used to be i think its still a great vehicle and you should give it a chance

The concept 3 seems like it'd be right up your alley. In real life it had a laser rangefinder, but that'd make it pretty unbalanced at 4.3.

The regular su-122 is also stupid good, enough pen to kill basically anything, an HE shell that'll over pressure basically everything, and real good armor for its BR

that jumbo shot on you reminded me of how I once killed T95 with a shot from Ro-Go Exp (the SAP round) I was shooting the guy like 12 times from side as he ignored me then he got fed up with it and turned to shoot me and somehow I pened him from the front, so I went to check it after the game and somehow there is a pixel weakspot on the 300mm front of T95 where the 63mm pen SAP round of Ro-Go Exp gets through... I still don't understand some things that can happen in war thunder but I like the game still.

I just love the use of 'The Death of Stalin' in the intro bit. It's such a funny semi-historical comedy that I wish that more people have seen it. Too bad it's banned in Russia (I think) because the Russians can't take a joke about their past.

I think this thing might be better if it were brought into higher BR games, the armor would do a little better against autocannon fire and you get a rangefinder, and the cherry on top would be the 122 APHE making short work of light vehicles and some lightly armored MBTs. But that's just a theory I own it myself and rarely deign it fit to take it out at its own BR which led me to wonder about other applications.

It never gets old watching Spookstons jump scares.

Frustrating? 400 games, 65% wr, 125 air kills and 900 ground kills for a little over 300 deaths says otherwise. Fucking love this tank. And most of this was done before the br changes.
