I own 2 and I would never sell either for anywhere close to that . 30 maybe if I was entertaining the thought. For 20k it would be the biggest pile salvage evo you ever seen.
the new ones are more reliable though bmw fixed the issues from the 1st and 2nd gen minis and the 3rd gen are way reliable but I recommend the 4 cylinder the 3 cylinder still has some problems
😒 nobody talks about the under rated/sleeper lexus GS400 I was keeping up with a lexus ISF with my GS400 with simple maintenance and a dropped in k&N filter
@@AlexAlvarez-yh2kq bro your GS400 makes 300hp and the ISF makes 416hp. You are dreaming you cant keep up with the ISF, no chance. I think you raced an IS350 with 306hp
Sorry first thing that comes to my mind is the 2G Eclipse, not a Lancer. Porsches do nothing for me. An R32 Bayside Blue is one of my dream cars, just not a 4 door. The 370z isn't a bad car, I could drive one. Mini Coopers remind me of something a 45 year old virgin would buy to take to Applebee's for happy hour. A mustang, no thanks I'd prefer not to smash into a crowd of innocent people trying to get some tiktok footage. An S2000 is a classic early 2000s car, I'd be ok with one. Not really a BMW fan either but I'd rather take one of those over a Porsche. Lexus smexus..... I'd take an R32 GTS-T out of all the ones listed here.
They’re usually heavily modded and owners want compensation for the mods. If you could find a close to stock one you’d definitely find them in the 15k-30k range depending on the generation
The ISF should be as reliable, if not more reliable, than the IS350 F sport. Toyota builds the most reliable V8 engines. The only downside is that you'll spend more time and money at the pump.

@Shawn Don003 well let me add more salt to your dish. The V8 is just a terrible engine for fuel mileage, you can get more mileage in the legendary rotary than in a V8, and the V6 are not only in machine from the Rising Sun, but are also used in motorsports like Indycar and F1, so how about you STFU XD, and I’m from the UK, the king of V6’s and In-line engines, and every person I’ve seen in a V6 car is a man riding with a chick, meanwhile most people in V8’s are usually drag junkies soy-boys, xd, Xd, XD
Something you didnt mention is that the Honda S2000 the engine is also built for race quality being completly forged internal engine ready to super charge or turbo and the car its self has the basics without all the high tech stuff that can break. they even come with manual windows
Yes they are nice but gas guzzlers !! Very heavy and when they loss or barely win against m3 or 370z ..just saying ..also almost forgot they do sound mean AF!!!
@@JT-bk1gp I definitely didn't buy it for gas mileage 🤷♂️😂 no regrets, and I haven't been able to race anything worth my time yet so we'll see how things play out lol
8:00 The Z (Fairlady) is actually the GTR’s Mother as it existed first, paved the way for *all* Japanese sports cars AND the RB engine is just a DOHC L-Series engine. The GTR is like the son that grew up, went onto college and became an engineer. Just saying!🤷🏾♂️😅
This is incorrect, the first skyline was produced In 1957, 8 years before the 240z, the first skyline GTR was made the same year, 1969. So at the least it’s a sibling, at best it’s definitely the predecessor.
Infiniti G35 was the platform that the R35 GT-R was built on. I have an AWD '12 G37 with paddle shifters and it is the most cost effective alternative to the GT-R. I paid $26k in 2016 with only 13K miles on the clock.
You always shows us cheap cars but why don't you buy a cheap jdm car or cars and do cheap mods on it like vlogs like every one does exhaust, dragraces , tuning please please reply to my thoughts or like the comment ideal cars please
Owned my R32 Skyline GTST coupe for 3.5 years now. Yes they go for 20k+ now but you will 100% be dumping money into it. Did an RB25det swap into mine and it’s def better than the 20. But even with the 2.0, has to be one of the best cars I’ve driven just such a fun light car to whip around
THE STI HAS BEAT THE EVO IN SO MANY MORE RALLY EVENTS AND IS MORE RELIABLE AND CHEAPER TO FIND USED (sadly egos went out of production) TAKE THAT EVO FANBOYS! SINCERELY, STI FAN

I got a 2001 bmw e46 325ci painted steel blue. But im gonne engine swap in for the 4.0l v8 from the e92 m3, pair it with a 6 speed manuel and paint it laguna seca blue
Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution Porsche Cayman S Nissan Skyline GTS-T R32 Nissan 370Z NISM0 Mini Cooper S JCW GP Mustang Saleen S281 Honda S2000 BMW M3 E46 Lexus ISF
The E46 M3 with the SMG isnt that bad but once it goes, i promise it will, you’ll have to py a load to fix it or convert it to manual. Converting it is so much cheaper and you get to experience the car with both transmissions
I love this video - I've done an AP1 S2000 and E46 M3 both under $20k and came out positive in my ownership. Lexus ISF is next, but that Saleen looks enticing!
Lexus IS F and the Honda S2000 are great choices for reliable fun .... I had an Evo VIII putting down 450 hp to the wheels and it was a blast to drive. Looking at Auto Tempest though..... not many of the cars here are 20k or less.... hehe
I had to stop at the first. They show an evo 10 then show 7,8s,and 9s. Talk about the 4g63 hahaha in the 10 it's a 4b11. You guys REALLY NEED TO SEARCH YOUR FACTS.
Love the Evo. My friend had one back in High School. That's actually the car that I learned stick in. He crashed it a year later during a street race. 😭
Id go with the M3, but I do need to start looking for a fun family DD. Not sure if there is such a car to fit 4 comfortable, 30+mpg, manual trans, good in snow, and fun to drive...
My dream car featured on this list: Mitsubishi Evo IX. That car to me will be like owning a Lambo, I will forever feel like I'm on top of the world with that car!
Well I know I'm not gonna find a decent one for 20K or less. Anything under 20K would be pushing upwards of up to 200K miles and/or have a significant amount of wear and tear on it. I know I'm looking at least 24-25K for a decent one
@@rileypaynestewart maybe an RS… not an ST… you’d need big mods to get an ST to 400 hp. Not to mention they struggle with traction at stock power. Don’t get me wrong, I owned one, it was a fun car. Just not actually fast.
Downvoted because this guy is on crack. EVO, GTST, Nismo 370, Saleen mustang wtf? Naw dude. None of these cars will be 20k or under unless they are salvaged or have 160k+ miles... Your e46 choice OK, buy it I dare you. You will easily be over that 20K threshold less than a year later in repairs because the SMG went out, the subframe ripped in half or both. Easily Obtainable cars under 20k under 100k miles: G37, G35, 350Z, regular 370z, Mustang S197 & S550 (gt if you are lucky), Camaro-Challenger-Charger (v6-v8?), E90/92 335i, etc.. Dude is giving out horrible advice that will put you in a financial hole.
S2000 more reliable so you can buy more after market parts or just keep more cash in your wallet!! Porsche's are nice but like all German/ European cars after 100k they can be money 💰 pits on repairs..I know I've owned several..know I will only buy lexus or infiniti!!!
MK4 VW R32 missed the list. I’ve driven a lot of those cars, and the R32 is by far my favorite, sound, tracking, just that analog drive feel. Probably will never sell that car.
LEXUS - owned mine since 09 all its ever needed is an oil change, she is a kitten and with over 200K need I say more!! I did make some mods, apologize but BMW's & M3 does not hold a candle to it. love the vid.
Lol I could have had 2 r32 gts-t's 6 years ago for 2500.00.....U.S. market always ruins everything. Or you could buy a 2 door evo for 2-10k called a dsm.
Is it just me or being a carguy/cargirl is expensive well the apart from obvious and also the its the thing guy/girl to date well because theyre gunna buy cars alot and if they are not satisfided about their garage they might buy a storage unit or maybe a new house but it will kinda be the worst choose well the thing is we will always and i mean always have our car as our number one love so dont even try to impress us with the you know and also dont even think about asking where is our money well because we already spent it all to our car and also to the people out there that has a boyfriend/gilfriend thats into cars and they buy a trubo kit running 25 psi of boost and we lose and get gap by a turbo civics pls dont say our is slow or else you see yourself in the highway stranded well atleast thats worst case scenario
The evo 9 on the thumbnail is stupid misleading. For 20k you get a totalled slavaged parts evo 9 that needs at least another 20k in repairs to get back on the road.
Hi Brad, I've been enjoying your videos for a while now. You often focus on sub 10 to 20K range cars or the higher end 50k+ cars. What about if you got a budget in the 30 to 40k range? Hate to admit it, but I am looking for that mid life crisis car and need some more ideas. Ultimately I want a GTR, but in the meantime I keep looking at Nissan 370s, Camaros, Corvettes, or BMWs. Won't buy a Ford, and don't want something that requires constant wrenching to keep on the road. Appreciate what you do and any feedback you can provide. FYI, my first car was a Dutsun 200sx, and miss that manual transmission.
I own a bmw 07 335i 6 speed manual with the n54 engine twin turbo and love it, currently sitting at 183,XXX miles and keeping it for life , im 24 years old and bought the car when I was 20 with 80k miles . That being said it's a bmw and without a warranty you'll either have to pay or work on it yourself when it comes to it . The n54 is known for being one of bmws more complicated/unreliable engines , but apart I've mostly done regular maintenance and some few things I broke on my part. Car is not stock , pushing around 450 hp so things do wear out a little faster but overall worth it . You can always go with another model or newer one with a warranty. I chose the n54 for its forged internals, twin turbos, manual transmission and love the look of the couple. Its also my daily . I added a spec stage 3+ clutch and its been amazing. Clutch is rated for 670 torque which is overkill for my set up right now but its there for when I want more power. Performance was my goal , there are way more reliable bmws to chose from that arent as fast, not saying there slow just not an n54 . I would love a c5 c6 corvettes, which I wanted to buy also but wanted a decent interior . I might still buy a corvette down the road or another bmw like a e46 m3 , E90 m3 .
