What a wonderful bed for sweet Rupert! He really has quite the personality now and discovery the world, and from a parents view it is amazing how the world looks like through a child's eyes. I only wish I had a bed like this for my daughter, way beck when,. I transitioned her at the age of 2, only because she was outgrowing her crib, and she was long. I started with a mattress on the floor for 3 weeks, then added the box spring for 2 weeks, and then putting it altogether at the end. She did well most nights, but it's all trial and error. It seems Rupert is going to enjoy his new bed, and best part, as you said, his cousins will have a place to sleep.
Very cute. Xavier is on his own bed and obsessed with Silk pillows. Apparently good for reducing hair loss so may be good for Meghan and, in time, Jamie!
When I saw the wooden bars I thought any child would want to swing on them. But yes it would also be difficult to make the bed. Good job! Rupert looks so much more settled

My 8yr old daughter watched this with me. She said wow mum they are a nice family and I like watching them. I love his new bed mum. They look like a loving family. I Then said to her, "Yes, they are a loving and sweet family, and I look forward to their videos." There is something so refreshing about your videos.. ❤ so I thought I would let you know what she said.
My mom always taught me growing up, that if someone has a baby and already has kid(s), you never just bring a gift for the baby. I tend to get something I know they'll enjoy and will have their attention. It doesn't need to be an expensive gift, so if you are on limited income or just on a strict budget, then something as simple as a matchbox car for a little boy. To make it even more fun, we saved a shipping tube and my grandson loves elevating it and sending the matchbox cars so they shoot out the bottom and across the floor. Of all the expensive toys I might have, he plays with that a lot. You just never want all attention to go to baby and have them feel left out.
We moved one of our sons out of their cot into a bed after we woke up one morning and found them in our room, which meant they had climbed out of their cot!!

What a smashing bed. I was thinking that the front bar might be too much of a temptation plus a head hazard for parents, and then you mentioned removing it - perfect. And Ru looked so happy to be in his new bed with his soft cuddlies.
