Females are far more pressured than male idols, seeing as females have higher standards of beauty and personality. For them to get more hate is somewhat not surprising, also seeing how traditional some South Koreans still are, considering Korean females are supposed to be polite, cute, kind, (sometimes) sexy, basically everything opposite of cold and "mean". But I was a T-ARA fan even before the whole scandal broke out and I loved them all but I did have a bad feeling about Hwayoung and once the bullying scandal broke out I couldn’t believe it. I stood with T-ARA and was attacked for supporting ‘bullies’…it took years that these girls had to endure all kinds of hateful comments/attacks against them till the truth finally was revealed. Better late than never I guess but I am glad my queens came back and were on Knowing Bros even. 😩 They stayed so strong for so long. I am proud of them!

People are terrible!! this is mentioned in another video about the situation, but Tzuyu's parents were being threatened back home and told her themselves that she needs to apologise. The standpoint on this 5 years old situation should be that she had to do it for the sake of her family, career, and literal political tension between the CCP and the Taiwanese Government. I think it's a clear point that you don't want to piss off the CCP as a Taiwanese person, especially when a situation was caused on the basis that your actions offended their political position. The most that could have been changed to improve the situation was that the people who gave Tzuyu the Taiwanese flag should have also apologised, as well as editors or people involved in deciding what was aired was acceptable, surely knowing the possible backlash and outcome.

Yerim was hated because she cried in one of the tv shows after Jonghyun's death. How cruel can people become? She mourns for his death, as a child who grew closer to Jonghyun as she continue to age in the music industry as a trainee and as a rookie. They criticized her for being unprofessional, but they forget a simple thing. She is also a human, capable of emotions.

After that, Sulli was harassed by incels for being feminist and changing her image. And we all know to what extent they pushed her.... But netizens couldn't help, but be litteral monsters, and shamed Krystal for not speaking out about Sulli when the thing happened. They also shamed the other members because they "didn't react fast enough" (when I say people are obsessed with drama-porn), but when it came to Krystal it was really vile. The girl stayed days and days at the same place to honor her dead friend, she stayed next to Sulli at her memorial for so long, and only talked when she got out, but she still was attacked for that, being accused of "not being genuine"... Never hated people more than when it happened... A bunch of monsters and hypocrites... And I can promise you this type of things never changed the way people acted. If more, people are really happy to use Sulli's name in petty fanwars, drag her in controversial things when she can't say anything anymore, and use her for numbers and clout by lurking people seeking drama-porn. People are rotten on the inside, especially some being so quick to use this type of tragedies to brighten their images when in fact they engage in heavy harassement and rumours...

I have never seen an idol hated at that level and I blame blinks for this.
