I think my favorite moment from that fight with Max was when NetoTigr kept screaming at Max to pick any character that wasn't takeda, and Max's only response was a deadpan "pick any character that's not Jacqui." Neto was convinced that surely if Max used any other character he'd lose, so max proceeded to annihilate him with both ermac and Jason, with the latter half being hysterical because it sounded, at least from Neto's end, like the dude was actually being stalked by a real life horror movie character. All the while he kept complaining about the lag and how he didn't have the right song or anything else to divert attention away from his bad playing. Whether the man's trolling or not is irrelevant; that's comedy gold right there.

Netotigr was genuinely crazy. His entire attitude and playstyle made him the most annoying person to play against. I remember playing him in MKX Online when I was like 9. I ended up never playing Online again for the next 3 years.

What makes Max's victory even better is that he beat Neto with Jason Voorhees later on. Neto before decided to make it personal while Max treated it like it was just a Tuesday.

As a guy who rages alot when he loses an Online Game in MK11, I really can't say anything about that other than I don't make excuses when I lose. I only tell myself that I suck and stuff like that.

But what Neto and Dale both seemingly fail to realize is that you can't be stream-sniped in a 1v1 fighting game; it's literally impossible for someone to gain an unfair advantage from an opponent's live-stream.

Dude, seriously, a person CAN get that dang mad over the stupidest crap in the game. I personally know a guy like this: when I was his roommate, he was once playing a Madden game. He was winning with 80+ points, and had already reached the two minute warning of the second half of the game - no way he could lose now. However, when the AI team scored their FIRST TOUCHDOWN OF THE GAME (making it 7 to 80+), he began screaming his head off like it was the end of the world! When my g/f and I told him to calm down, that it was just a game and how ridiculous it was to get this made considering how far ahead he was and that it's literally impossible at this point for him to lose, he then argued with us and tried to justify his anger by saying it didn't matter, because now he wouldn't get the shutout. So... ...yes... ...some gamers really are that immature.

I remember seeing Neto way back when, he certainly was a character. I vaguely recall fighting him at some point in my life, and whooping his behind sideways with Scorpion, before almost breaking my left stick TBagging him. Good times…

The best way to deal with these types of people is to ignore them, because what they want the most is attention. I don't know if that's the case in the US, but here in Brazil there's a saying for these types of people: "speak well or speak badly, just talk about me."

Netotigr's excuses for why he was losing were definitely on-par with LTG's excuses. I'd love for him to explain how you can be stream-sniped in a 1v1 fighting game. He really doesn't have any ground to criticize how his opponents play when all he does is spam projectiles. That is what you'd call incredibly cheap. I don't think he's joking when he says that he doesn't acknowledge his losses. He just might be that delusional.

Netotigr was an act, he could play the game and he showed this multiple Times on His calmer streams and was explaining his character when he lost popularity. This was his strat to get over the top from the pool of other random streamers on twitch. He was pretty chill dude when not in character.

Like this is spamming, but when your frame trapping, anti air baiting, mixing in jumping projectiles, and aimed projectiles your doing wayyyy more work than someone mashing safe block strings and 50/50s in the corner. Netotigr is a massive example of how not to be as a person in general.

I think a good series would be to find the strongest iteration of each character and explain why. For example: What scorpion is strongest MKX or MK9

I remember playing MKX a while back and seeing a video online of Neto getting demolished while trying to spam the assault gauntlets, he was one of my favorite players to hate on and I kept hoping to one day to find him so I could give him a taste of his own medicine. Never was too lucky in that department.

I love watching people who put the time into fighting games and seeing the skill and time it takes to actually get to the point where move spammers are just mild inconveniences

This is why I'm glad that Midway/Netherrealm Studios slowly learned their lesson when creating the achievements and trophies for Mortal Kombat vs DC Universe to Mortal Kombat 11, by making them easier. A good example is MK vs DC's craziest achievement/trophy for online play which was to win 25 Ranked matches in a row, compared to Mortal Kombat 11, where there is no Ranked match achievement or trophy.

I'm curious if the devs could have just invited him to a live venue tournament just as a humiliation. It would be like that one event where the guy challenged someone and lost 12 straight matches.

The thing about Jacqui machinegun is that you could low profile it but low blocking would cause the bullets to still land, so newer players would just block and take all that chip damage + giving Jacqui more meter to work with.

I can sort of understand taking the concept of a wrestling-styled "heel" fictional persona and applying it to other forms of entertainment, but I've always had the mindset that, no matter if I win or lose, I still feel genuinely happy just to be able to test my mettle againts another person, which makes the idea of getting matched up against someone who's refusing to actually engage with the game feel like such a bummer to me. Like, I'm not saying people can't have fun with their "bit", but I also just want to fight them for real, y'know?

Man I just don't get sinking so much time into a game and actively choosing not to learn it. By the time I was done with MKX, I'd learned Sub-Zero, Jax, Triborg and Jason. I wasn't a pro, I still struggled with landing longer combos that depended on the run mechanic, but I was fine and had so much fun and I learned more when I lost too. I loved MKX and I think I logged around 1000+ hours in. If all I did from launch when I mained Cryomancer Sub-Zero was spam ice ball and slide, I'd have gotten bored and dropped the game in a week.

The thing about people like this and LTG is that even if it is an act (It probably isn't), it still affects other people negatively and actively makes their lives worse, even if only because they have to deal with a short moment of bullshit. A shame people like this also can wind up popular and well-known, making the behavior pay off.

I find a lot of the higher players are actually the worst especially in the kombat league, I like to learn combos and characters but, i'm no professional at all, but beating some people when I got to master rank, would get me screamed at or even people sending me messages and some of these dudes sounded like they're in their mid forties and stuff

Max's tone leads me to believe Neto really is that much of a jerk. He didn't respond with outrageous or comical anger. He just had that same almost resigned tone most people have when they see BMW drivers make a left turn from the right lane and then honk like other people are wrong. The same tone in which we would respond, "...of course..." Max uses when he says "Oh this f----n guy."

Truly the Charlie Zelenoff of fighting games. That Zelenoff guy, aka Z Money, would claim an undefeated boxing record and rage quit when fighting better boxers, as well as sucker punch people in the back of the hear while feigning to give up. Truly the best pound for pound fighter of our generation.

This guy reminds me of a former friend of mine who I used to play fighting games with. He found out that in BlazBlue Central Fiction, Nine had a fist ability that could hit players from anywhere so he spammed that constantly. Years later, Nine the Phantom comes to Cross Tag Battle and obviously, he chooses her while I chose Yuzuriha and Merkava. It wasn't until he tried to spam the move that he realized that now it couldn't hit the player anywhere. After that, he said "Fuck me" and I beat his ass in game. He then tried to ban Yuzuriha and Merkava so I said fine, I then chose two other Under Night characters and he said no more Under Night characters. The thing is, he would have to ban every character in the roster because I had practiced with every single one of them, so eventually he tried his old Es spam technique and after I beat him again (because Es is no longer a viable corner trap character), he quit fighting games altogether because we had all gotten better than him so he could no longer get victories off of us. I'm obviously rusty as shit now, but I respect the hell outta my friends Nero, Nate, and Austin who have all improved in fighting games. My buddy Nero has even been invited to Evo on multiple occasions but he's not the type who enjoys competing at an international level
