yeh they are not a small yt channel that should do a very amature review that a normy would do. 1- they nitpicked the worse parts from the story (it was torture for me too) and used half of the review to berate it and how much of a deal breaker it is. 2- they barely talk about the combat system and what's unique about it( intro and outro, animation canceling, characters staying on field to preform attacks, contring, dodging, the forte system and how it makes every character unique and have a different play style). 3- they didn't talk about exploration and how good/bad the movement in the open world is. 4- they didn't touch about the weapon banners. 5- if you are reviewing a game you need to test everything (adjusting saturation or brightness, when i Changed the VA to japanese it felt many times better i didn't believe it) 6- they didn't talk about bosses and end game content. 7- didn't talk about other issues like performance issues. watch the ign genshin impact review, and how different it is in terms of writing a review. for me i hope that kuro upgrades the story, add voice lines for many of the quests, and not be afraid of writing something more dark and solid with plot twists first and for most.
If they nitpick on combat? actual score would be lower. ironically combat is the strongest aspect of wuwa but it is also their weakest atm because of silly optimization and camera errors, locking mechanics is baf

As someone who plays this with story in mind.. yes I like a story while I play action games.. I like Yangyangs slowness. it makes her unique. As long as its consistant by all means... HOWEVER. I use JP voices. So I ignore english VAs completely. Yangyang in JP has been very cute. Especially her battle/fightinge sounds. Also the IGN review.. its lackluster sure, but I dont know how it gets soo much h__te (I been having susans bots remove my comments lately for her free speech awards).. I feel like it could of been way worse. Hes still pretty way out of his element I suppose. Its a normy reviwing an anime game. Also reminder, IGN gives better scores the more they get paid. Thier reviews are not really that credible. Lately they been running hit peices on the likes of Stellar Blade and Wukong. Because someones probably paying them for it.
Going from one evil to another doesn't fix it. What REALLY fixes it, is to try it for yourself, see actual people playing it, then conclude if you'll like it. Somethings are best done by yourself.
I don't understand most games use complicated or made up words in their world that you need to search the meaning its not Wuwa thing.... also the story isn't at peak level at first yes but COME ON... saying it sucks is just wrong... like yeah because Raid shadow legend, Epic 7, Summoners war and 90% of gacha games got great story right? the voice acting is only on the EN side the Chinese, Korean and Japanese are amazing! also most of the bad stuff IGN say also Apply to genshin impact which had 4 years to fix it and didn't do nothing to change at all..... while Kuro only a month in try to fix everything.
For the story about yangyang i think its fine just reading it for the first time i read all the story and its okay as long as everything has a skip button so you dont have to read it all over again in a new account, the side quests tho i skip them
Yeah its strange to hear that "it miss" a elemental something LOL, genshin's elemental system is not a standard. If you look at honkai impact the element are just damage categories like in wuwa and ... PGR too. The concerto is not an elemental system its a total other mecanic. We will see if ppl in the futur (jully) will said when they will play to zenless: "Ho, its the concerto system from wuwa !" or the reverse when they switch to an other characters. Biases everywhere ... If we only spoke about pity, its not only genshin, its all Hoyo games. In honkai impact 3rd its 100 pull for a character, genshin 90, hsr 90 and zenless 90 too and I even don't speak about weapons and stuff (honkai impact 3rd : you pull equipment too) and 50/50. Even with soft pity, which is really cool, its a high price for every one, f2p or spender. iirc 150$ equivalent gem for one character if you loose the 50/50 and slightly lower reduce by the free pulls (like 120$) but no so much for ppl that spend and want pull on all banner or almost. You can buy more than 1 video game with that amount ...
Honestly, I don't miss the elemental reaction from Genshin Impact nor do I want it in WW. And the reason is that a lot of characters can become underwhelming because 2 or 3 elemental reactions can out perform other synergies, this way you can play who want, how you want, buff specific Characters Varina, Mort into Jiyan or not sweat so hard and just play whatever. That's me anyway it's a PVE game after all.
i like how pretty much the only one they showed while talking about the story/va is yangyang. and yeah i feel like the score is fine, but what they say doesn't match the score i feel
The review feels cut short, the points expressed were good (the beginning of Wuwa leaves a lot to be desired), but what about the rest? Combat, Endgame, time to do the dailies (it seems like a silly point, but it's been taken into account a lot lately), and...parkour?? where is the parkour? XD (it's not the best thing in the game, but Kuro shows that he wants to take advantage of the map they made)
elements did MATTER if u fight same element u can clearly see that in tower of adveristy and holograms/bosses on same element have incresed resistance and prims works like slimes u cant deal same dmg element to them so even if not that complicated in elemental reactions still u need to use diffrent character but i agree with that statement on free exploring 4:20
There are many aspects that they mentions about story is bad take. They only mention about act 1 to 4 and failed to provide the overall review on the story. As game reviewer that should be the standard. They are not a typicall CC. And what the hell is with 40 hours story, it not even close to that numbers. After, in act 4 they go through why mc is important for any of them, it not just lore dump without an explanation.
what i hate about the storyline is that it force you to play an alternate version of your characters that is weaker also forcing me to play characters i dont care about...i wanna play my usual trio in the story too DAMN IT!!!
I think people trying compare intro outro to pgr switch in attack, not the QTE. When you switch into let say Alpha CA without QTE she will do her red orb attack. I think they prefer to that and not the QTE.

Rewards are diff from compensations., If the game was smoother then the compensation would be less but they fucked up I guess thats a thank you buddy also you said they ddnt touched on the combat which is will complete the package of this review but if they nitpick on combat the actual score would be much lower. Camera? hello? locking mechanics? even a sophomore IT college student can code an actual *Target nearest option* *Press tab to lock on target* lol. Combat is nice but the bugs like dragon ball circle spikes? you know? if you play wuwa you wouldve encountered this specially on holo fights, the one bug when you parry the Parry Impact animations will ping until your dead. combat optimization? I mean not just combat tho. I really hope they fix this things, I myself will give 1.1 a chance after that I will decide if I will whale for Jinhsi or not
you know elemental system is just a system assisting combat in tons of video games, some of them have combo system, some have weakness system, some have burst gauge system, if someone can't get rid of the elemental system, i think he should stay in genshin for life long. And actually the elemental and triggering system limited the team combination a lot, which annoying me that i put all the oneesan characters in one team cannot deal good damage to open world boss...
As someone who plays WuWa, I can agree that it's a 7/10. However, the only thing I don't like about the review is that the reviewer focused more on the negative aspect without balancing it and adding the positive aspect of the game in the video. A good reviewer knows how to balance those thing.
You wanna know why they focus on such "Story" and "Voice-acting" review? Who knows... maybe they want "the" consulting company to target this one too. ooopppsss..
Not a perfect review, it glossed over some stuff, the reviewer evidently didn't reach mid-late game but it was expected since the review was very early (let's remember that these outlets preasure reviewers to make an insane amount of reviews with little time). Having said that: 7/10 is a very fair score and it is especially generous if the reviewer only played the early game. If you only consider the early hours with the terrible story quest and horrible voice acting performances plus all the optimization issues we had at launch, the experience wasn't more than a 5/10 in my opinion. It gets better later, I would say that right now it's a 7/10 game with a lot of potential to be the best gacha in the market.
You know why? Because WuWa didn't had canon girl to girl relationship, I saw a lot of reviews who said the same including mobs in Twitter and that said vtuber, _"No Yuri Not Good"_ they hate WuWa cuz there is (1) Jiggle physics, (2) Difficult gameplay (3) No Girl to Girl relationships, these are common review and comments I saw which is so stpid.

Yangyang made me switch to Japanese dub because I just couldn't tolerate her English VA anymore. My ears felt cleansed with holy water with the Japanese VA
IGN is such a trash entity! A true stain on the industry I wish we could just was away! Whenever I hear anything from IGN, I go dead inside. Anything review from IGN falls on def ears as far as I'm concerned. The reviewer had high "Genshin fanboy" energy. Extremely bias, to be expected from IGN....
