A shoot interview is an interview that is conducted out of character with a wrestler, promoter, manager, or other insider generally being interviewed about their career and asked to give their opinion on wrestlers, promotions, or specific events in their past. Back in the day… there was a huge market for wrestling shoot interviews. I remember the second any wrestler left WWE, everyone would be waiting in anticipation for their shoot interview to see them absolutely rip into the company and anyone else.
