The better question is why wouldn’t you want to train your QLs? It’s one of our deepest core muscles that’s connects to each of our lower back’s vertebrae. We can begin to strengthen them isometrically with movements like the QL Plank and Suitcase Carries - with the end goal developing strengthen through length in the QL Extension. While QLs are one of our back’s lowest hanging fruit, a robust back is built with a variety of core, lower back, upper back, and hip movements. You want to attack the back and its neighboring muscles from ALL angles. My programs like Gem Back Rebuild or Hip Harmony on the Movementgems App provide that structure to take the guess work out of the equation. I needed to find this channel so much right now!! 🙏🏻.. suffering for 3 years with pain from a herniated disc in my neck that has spread in to my shoulder, hip and ankle.. finally decided to take my recovery into my own hands after receiving no help from medical professionals.. there is so much good stuff here I can use to help me 👍🏻 thank you so much

elevating the thing is pretty smart to get full range so i don't gotta curl the weight. will have to try that next time.

So I’ve had lower back pain for almost 9 years. I was doing a bent over dumbbell rear delt fly and when I stood back up I felt this very sharp pain shoot down my back and I couldn’t move my Uber body or flex my abs without my lower back hurting. It’s gotten to a point where pain is minimal but the injury never went away. I can still feel it when I bend forward. Sometimes I even reinjure my lower back from exercising. I went to a trampoline park while pain was minimal and all the jumping reinjured my lower back. Is there any cure for this or will I have this back pain forever ?

I think it's disc herniation get an MRI I have got same symptoms

I have similar symptoms. Never gotten checked, but I hurt myself like 4 years ago doing a Romanian deadlift. Haven't deadlifted much since because the pain would come back. Recently I've been doing Romanian again with just one dumbbell, focusing on my breathing and engaging glutes. I have progressed to using a 50lb DB now, where even a 25lb would cause me pain before. Watch some vids about deadlifting by squat University if you're interested.
