I read the New Testament before work everyday. It has deeply impacted the ways I interact with the world. Every meaningful piece of info in the self-help genre can be found in the Gospels. I recommend the Word on Fire Bible Volumes 1 and 2.

I was in a comfort rut because I had read the Bible for years so I thought "I know what it says". But when I took some of it and spent time malling it over it was so different, much more realization of what it is we're given.

I appreciate the way this person encourages us to identify and record what *our own* ethics/morals/values are! He doesn’t encourage us to start with the ethics/morals/values of *others*. There is a boundary there. We are encouraged to think for ourselves, AND expose ourselves to the profundity of others! 🎉

With hindsight I still prefer the wisdom of Thich Nhat Hanh: “Breathing in, I am aware .....” THIS ☝🏿 is much more complicated. And for me, that is discouraging.

Pyramid: 3. Moral value, 2.Meditative Practice 1. Read wisdom...agreed: Balanced w/ open heart, getting rid of your judgements & daily yoga/exercise & EATING WHOLE FOOD PLANT BASED EXCLUSIVE DIET. No/little need in most places to kill/eat animals for food or the skins(leather) or use them 4 amusement: circus, rodeos r some examples. LOVE
