I remember commenting on one of your videos about a year and a half ago about a concern with my new pups behavior. I watched many of your videos to educate myself. You were right, he needed to settle down first and trust me. Let me tell you my shy, submissive boy is now a freaking beast!! Always on guard and ready to protect but never aggressive unless it’s his last resort. Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us.

Wow, this is such valuable information. After raising 3 GSD, I thought I knew a little bit about training--but never focused on the socialization aspects. Fast forward, now I have a 16 week old GSD who is going to get max socialization beginning today.

You have so much knowledge to share and help all who need help. A well socialized puppy is much more enjoyable to have then always trying to hang onto a scared or vicious puppy. To have your puppy well behaved and socialized is a joy to have as your little Buddy to always want to take with you. He or She is a member of your family. I have the Puppy Training System and I truly try to follow it always. My young baby is now 4 months old and love to take with me as much as I can. She loves people and traffic doesn’t bother her at all. I live rural so I have to drive into my small town. I’m proud to take my GSD puppy with me. So much fun. I thank GSM and all his knowledge for all I’ve learned from him and his training system. 🙌

I have really been enjoying watching all of your videos. Basically I am getting a GSD puppy this summer, it will be my second GSD ever, but the difference is that I will be fully training this one. I just have 1 question, if I want him to be friendly towards friends and family that visit my home, but at the same time defend my home from unwanted strangers, what specific things should I do during the socializing phase? I would really appreciate your help in this matter. Good work on the videos btw!

Can you do a video on how to choose a puppy. I know you did one awhile ago but if you had anymore advice that'd be great. I have the first male pick out of 7 males. Just looking for some more test I can do the day I get to pick him out. The breeder is going to send me pictures and personality information before hand but if there's any more advice that'd be great.

It would depend on what kind of adult you are looking for...HIGH drives, laid back, happy type velcro puppy, etc. Also any other dogs you have in the home can affect the proper choosing. Hard to answer that here...PM me on my Facebook page and we can go from there. GSM

We just got a Gsd puppy (boy), he is now almost 8 weeks. We have 3 other yorkies. Our gsd and our one yorkie LOVES each other, but play time is a bit difficult. Will it be better to get the gsd pup a little sister?

Hi GSM, My 2 yr old girl Kona absolutely loves people but looses control when she see other dogs. She's been like that from the time she was 6 months old. Took her to dog parks and she acts fierce, growling and barking aggressively until we walk in and she runs away from the other dogs in fear until she sorts out who is friendly and who to stay away from. But her first reaction everytime she sees another dog is to act tuff an unruly. I don't know how to make her feel more relaxed.

It will be a challenge for a two year old, but she can be settled to some degree in my opinion. That would take someone near you that is an experienced trainer with these type dogs. GSM

Got to learn quite a bit from this video 👍🏽 I've been making enquiries for puppies and people are trying to sell off at 40 days or 45 days. I want to know what would be the correct age at which it could be brought home? How many vaccinations need to be completed by then? Also let me know whether it would be right to get a 4month old puppy? Wherein I suppose socialization and obedience training needs to be done simultaneously.

Most puppies I raise show signs that they are ready for their family at around 7.5 weeks of age. I let them go at 8 weeks. I vaccinate at 6, 9, 12 & 15 weeks. Getting a 4 month old is a great age. GSM

Hi GSM. I may be getting ahead of myself as I did purchase your training program and am working through it, but I am unclear how soon we can introduce visitors to the house to the new puppy. I have a 7months old female, and we did some training between 2 to 4months and then life changed and we stopped training her with treats and today she doesn't listen at all. Jumps on people and kids to plays, does what she pleases. What is the best way to get back to train her? Do I have time or she won't learn anything else at this stage? 😥

My adult GSD has a very high drive. She is socialized well with people but there are some dogs she barks at and starts pulling on the leash, which cases problems for me because she is a 75lb, strong, healthy, beauty! Also, I have a 1 old year German Shepherd rescue. He pulls toward EVERY dog at the park. Will the method in this video work for either or both my dogs?

Hey GSM! I need help. My GSD 13 week male is absolutely the best in every situation besides when he sees other dogs. He is super well disciplined he knows how to leave it, heal, sit, off, down, sit, and so on and he knows all of them in most situations still as well. The only times he loses himself is when he sees other dogs! He starts barking and pulling on the leash and I don’t get it!! He’s super confident but i can’t seem to overcome that barking. What do I do?

I have a 15 week GSD male who I have not yet socialized yet because he’s not yet had all his vaccines so I was worried about introducing to the world. He’s starting to become aggressive with my immediate family by growling and barking at them. He’s still into the biting phase even with several toys, flirt pol and towels being around. He doesn’t act aggressive often often but he still does. He does not act aggressive with me. Do you think I’m past those critical socialization weeks to where Is he still able to be socialized?

Question: So, if my husband and I want our 13 week old GSD puppy (male, named him Jocko!) to be a guard/protection dog for our home/family, we should be choosy with who we allow to pet him? Only trainers, friends, family members? Correct? It’s acceptable to tell people “no, we’re training him in a specific way and it involves not allowing people outside of our family and close friends to pet him”. Is that how you’d say it? So my 10 week gsd barks at me when I tell her no. For the most part she won't do when I tell her no, but she gives me attitude and walks away. What do you recommend to fix that issue.

Not a problem at that age...sometimes it can be 4 or even up to 7 months for the ears to be solid. Watch some of my videos about ears. GSM

My puppy loved dogs and everyone until our neighbors pitbulls started growling and attacking their fence scaring my dog so badly she won't listen bite everything and just cry she won't even listen to me and we train so much
