This was obviously filmed to show the severity of an infestation, but the reality is it is beyond treatment. Everything in the house would have to be removed and treated. There are too many places for the roaches to hide, and they will reproduce rapidly.

I once went to a friends house for a party. I didn’t know he had roaches until I arrived and I was disgusted and made sure to not eat, drink, or get comfortable. After arriving home I made sure to take my clothes off outside before going into my place. A few days later, I noticed roaches in my vehicle!!! I had to treat it. Fortunately none where in my crib, but that was an awful experience.

Dude I feel ya, I’ve been doing this for 13 years, and it never gets any better. Most of these customers don’t clean, or take personal responsibility for how their home has gotten trashed. At certain times though, some of these houses I’ll walk in and walk right back out.

I was a medic for almost 10 years and we wen to a 911 call for chest pain and as soon as we entered his house we had those little roaches crawling all over us. He didn’t want to go to the ER and I think I got the quickest refusal in all of history because the roaches were into everything. At another EMS place I worked at we got the ambulance dubbed “The Roach Coach”. We got food and had to get it to go because we got a call and by the time we were done and opened our food we had roaches all in our food. I was pissed off at that point and called the supervisor to put us in a different ambulance. He said they didn’t have any others so I asked him to let us use his and he could take the Roach Coach and when he realized I wasn’t willing to stay in that ambulance he switched us out. It’s inexcusable to have an ambulance with roaches climbing all over the patients.

My uncles schizophrenic roommate brought bed bugs into their home. When I discovered them, and called an exterminator, they said that by as many as were on her bed I threw out, they had to have been there like 18 months or more. His insurance paid for the exterminator (if it wasn't for his insurance, she would have been fucked).and they never spread beyond her room until they came to spray. The insurance used Ehrlich. 8 God damn times they came to spray and the bugs were still there! We had to go through hoops but eventually got another company to come out after Ehrlich had come 8 damn times and the bugs weren't gone...took the other local company 2 times. Idk how my uncles roommate didn't know she had 1000 bedbugs in her bed. I'm highly allergic to them and get dime sized welts if one bites me. I'll know within 5 minutes if someone has them and I get bit while sleeping. The bite itches so bad and for so long (approximately 15 min) that I will wake up after being bit. His roommate doesn't take her meds and my uncle is disabled and can't walk.,,,I thought that was bad. This place is 1000 times worse.

@doxoxo779 there's German cockroaches they're the hardest to get rid of. I had them in my bathroom when I lived in an apartment because they were actually coming thru the wall under the sink somehow from the apartment next door which was infested as bad as this. Everytime I thought they were gone they came back it was a nightmare. I only saw a couple in my kitchen and one in my bedroom (but they do say where's there one theres ten more hiding). Eventually moved. The whole building got gutted out and totally redone a couple years later. I can't fathom how anyone could be actively living in this house with this amount of bugs

I just don't know how you managed to live with it for even just one day. I just couldn't do it. I would end up being too afraid to sleep inside. I'd either sleep in my car or at work, or end up going broke by sleeping at motels (where I'd probably end up getting bit by bedbugs too). But if you have a family, you probably had no choice. I mean, growing up, I lived in many roach infested apartments. It affected me for life. To this day, I prefer sleeping with the lights on. I can't imagine what living with bedbugs would have done to me.

It’s really easy to get bedbugs and they are only visible when the infestation gets bad enough. Definitely freaky

@@maggiee639 *"It’s really easy to get bedbugs..."* How does one get bedbugs, then? By not washing bedsheets often enough, or what?

Reminded me of the time when I was moving into an old 1 BHK flat here in India. We knew there were cockroaches in there. So we called in a water tanker, brought its pipe inside through the window, and flooded the whole goddamn place, thinking it would flush out the roaches from all the nooks and crannies. When it all dried, we even fumigated it with potassium permanganate and formalin. We thought we'd eradicated the roaches successfully but they were back after 15 days. I moved out after 2 months.

They probably need a few 40 yard dumpsters to throw away EVERYTHING in that house if they ever expect to get a handle on the situation. I feel bad for the neighbors

The neighbors might not have conditions that are attractive to them. I've lived across from someone whose home was infested like this or worse. But I never had them & I never used pesticides.

I'm in Silicon Valley and this place is infested with roaches; richest areas and all. This is so heartbreaking anyone was living like this; should be reported to social services. I saw a cat bowl, too. I really hope no pets live there. I met an elderly man in a wheelchair w/no friends/family. I started visiting once in a while. At the new care home he was moved to, there were bed bugs ALL OVER his tiny room; he'd smash them on the walls. Soon as I saw the place I reported them to the state and they got shut down/building demolished. So many elderly people have nobody to look out for/check up on them and they suffer in conditions like this because of it. It's so messed up

NYC has a bad reputation with roaches but the the most roaches I've seen "naturally occuring" were on the sidewalks of SoCal cities after dark. The Southwest itself just seems naturally infested with them to a degree I've not seen elsewhere.

So basically, you had the elder person's home condemned and demolished. Where did that elderly person wind up - scared, homeless and out on the streets sleeping on cardboard in cold, or wet, or blazing hot weather?🥺 You know housing in nursing homes aren't free.
