For anyone who loves the e-tron, check out some of Ken Blocks videos on it. He has an upcoming Gymkhana video with it soon (Elektrikhana). AWD, fully electric, crazy suspension, insane power. He has several videos working with Audi directly with several e-tron versions and has one called the Hoonitron in the works.

It technically would be considered a series hybrid as it does have a gas engine (hence why it has an exhaust) but it is only used to charge the battery for the electric motors that drive the wheels.

E-tron is Audi’s electric line. The car is a (heavily modified) RSQ e-tron.

It is electric but it has a normal combustion engine as a generator because of the exhaust you saw :) Anyway, great video! Would love to see more

The e-tron is in fact electric, with a gas engine to generate power so you get good range

so its a eletric with a backup gas engine for when you need power back in the battery nice.

@@lechking941 except it's not backup, the battery is tiny so the gas engine runs all the time, they can adjust it's rpm to their energy needs

At 7:12, I believe this is the Audi RS Q e-Tron E2. It has three electric motor-generators (based on the Formula E car's): one on each axle, and a third attached to the 2.0-litre turbo four (from the DTM RS5), to charge the battery (newly developed by Audi). The wheels are driven solely by the electric motors, not by a petrol engine.

The car is electric but it has a 4cyl 2L engine which charges the batteries when they run low so its a reverse hybrid car o0

Eh, it's alright. It reminds me of Asphalt Xtreme and Gravel more than it does Dirt Rally. The environments look pretty good. In some ways it reminds me of the Landrush mode in DiRT 2.

The sound of the car is a sequential transmission. Most rally cars run those and that is the sound that is more consistent. You can look it up. I have one in my NMRA race rig.

The grid start and door banging is weird for DAKAR.... but what is going to be the first game to cross over and not only have a deep simulation of game play but also have drivers/rides face Injury & die... Dakar would be perfect.

3:08 Oh In real life they start at different times spaced out and it's time based, there is a lot of strategy involved with navigation, positioning in the lineup so you have tracks to follow etc .

Iv heard the wheel compatibility is really bad It is a much longer and more extreme version of comp safari, I have been watching both since I was a kid, so best part of 30 years
